Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
I remember reading this a few month ago on GLP.
As I was making some research tonight I came across it again.
Someone made a PDF of the thread .
Worth posting here as general infos :
The Coming: A Boeing Whistleblower’s Warning .Will a Massive Celestial System Change Our Solar System?
The file is well written and has plenty of graphics to present the information, and has links to other scientific websites.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
Major Earthquake Swarm off Yemen – Trouble??
What is going on off of the coast of Yemen?!
There has been a tremendous number of earthquakes that began early during 14-Nov, and are ongoing at this moment.
More than 30 strong earthquakes ranging from magnitude 4.5 to 5.4 have rattled under the sea where the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea meet at a point off of Yemen.
The depths have been mostly around 10km, with a few deeper. A closer look reveals something that appears highly unusual. That is, so far 20 of the earthquakes have been at a depth of exactly 10.0 km.
This earthquake swarm is occurring right now, and is happening right in the middle of major oil and freight transit sea lanes, the busiest in the world.
Stay tuned and check back for more details and graphics as this unfolds…
Yemen Earthquake Swarm, closeup view, Gulf of Aden
This map will be updated as the event unfolds.
The first earthquake occurred at 06:29, 14-Nov-2010 as a magnitude 4.6.
Just 3 minutes later, boom, a magnitude 5.4. Subsequent earthquakes have been shaking the ocean floor, some only minutes apart, and some just seconds apart.
The earthquake swarm location is at a tectonic plate boundary region where the Arabia plate meets the Somalia plate and the Nubia plate. A string of volcanoes are in the vicinity.
Update, 15-Nov, 04:00 UTC, they just keep on coming… 39 by my last count. Amazing. I wonder exactly where, and how deep the oil and gas fields are in the region, and what affect or hazard that an undersea volcanic eruption would present to that region.
Yemen Earthquake Swarm – Depths
What seems out of the ordinary, is how so many of the earthquakes have been at a 10 km depth. It’s as though there is a rift there, at that plane. The more recent earthquakes have varied a bit deeper, while there is one shallow 2.4 km event.
<something feels unsettling about this one>
Update, 15-Nov, 1500 UTC, three additional earthquakes rumbled near magnitude 5 within 30 minutes of each other, bringing the current total count up to 42. Location map and depth chart have been updated.
Tectonics
The earthquake swarm just off the southeast coast of Yemen is actually located on the Aden Ridge. This ridge separates the Arabian Plate and the Somalia Plate (Somalia Plate is a subplate of the African Plate). The ridge itself is pulling apart (a divergent boundary).
During 2005 in an area just 400 km from the current Aden Ridge earthquakes, a 35 mile stretch of land suddenly ripped open in Ethopia as two parts of the African continent pulled apart.
Not long after, a University of Rochester study, apparently published in an issue of Geophysical Research Letters, suggests that boundaries along the edges of tectonic ocean plates may suddenly break apart in large sections, instead of little by little as has been predominantly believed.
Could the earthquake swarm that we are witnessing, be a precursor to an undersea tear in the Gulf of Aden Ridge? Time will tell.
Look at this image showing the tectonic plate boundary and see how a larger cluster of earthquakes occurred to the north on the Arabian Plate, while a smaller group occurred on the Somalian Plate. Both are pulling away from each other, and the trench can be seen on the sea floor.
Here is a different view, showing more of a topographical map structure under the sea, and Gulf of Aden.
Volcanoes
The following image shows the location of all volcanoes nearby. There are so many that it nearly looks like Indonesia over on the Ring of Fire.
Update, 15-Nov, 21:30 Pacific, (UTC – 8:00), although less frequent during day #2 then day #1, this does not appear to be over yet. Expect new updates and maps in the morning.
Update, 16-Nov, 07:30 Pacific, (UTC – 8:00), total earthquakes from swarm equal 46, and activity has definitely subsided. We’ll see how it goes today. Whoops, minutes after typing this, there goes another (magnitude 4.8 at 9.8 km depth), so make that 47 so far.

There might be an answer, CERN has started in the last 2 days massive collisions of lead hadrons in bunches of 121 (billions of them).
Prior to this date it only collided a few insignificant bunches. Let us remember that CERN seats in the border of the African plaque where those swarms are happening and this is the strongest swarm on the African plate recorded on modern times.
On the casual relationship between CERN’s magnetic field and the Earth’s magnetic field that causes such earthquakes see:

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
Carmelites escape volcanic eruptions in Indonesia 11/17/10
Members of the Carmelite Family are among those affected by the recent volcanic eruptions of Mount Merapi in Indonesia.
According to BBC reports, at least 259 people have been killed since Mount Merapi began erupting on 26 October. Most of those who died were killed in the biggest eruption on 5 November, when Mount Merapi shot out jets of boiling gas and rock.
One of those injured that day was Carmelite friar Fr Agustinus Sutiono, O.Carm Agustinus is a member of the Indonesian Province of Carmelites - the largest in the Order. Agustinus is resident in the British Province, at the Carmelite friary in Walworth, South London, whilst he researches a doctorate at York St John University into the indigenous religious beliefs of his fellow Indonesians.
Agustinus sent a message on 5 November to the Prior of Walworth, Fr Francis Kemsley, O.Carm, to say that he was fine, but had been forced by the eruptions to abandon his research in Yogyakarta at the base of Mount Marapi where many of the families whom he had been interviewing had had to leave their villages to avoid the hot ash and mud flows. He is continuing his research in Jakarta whilst working with volunteers to help the victims of the disaster find food.
Another member of the Order affected by the volcanic activity has been Fr Albertus Magnus Herwanta, O.Carm, who as Councillor General for Asia-Australia-Oceania is a member of the Order's General Curia in Rome. When the eruptions began he was visiting members of his family who have had to abandon their homes.
Three weeks after the eruptions began, thousands of villagers are beginning to return to their homes, following a decline in volcanic activity.
We continue to offer prayers for the safety and well-being of our Carmelite brothers and sisters, and all the people of Indonesia.

Skyrocketing Magnitude 7 Earthquakes in 2010
September 2010
Magnitude 7 – 7.9 Earthquakes are up 93% so far in 2010
The latest major earthquake, a magnitude 7.0 located just 5 km underneath the South Island of New Zealand, exemplifies the ongoing up trend of earthquakes in 2010. USGS statistics indicate that we have already exceeded the normal number of magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes that the world sees in one year and we still have four months to go. As of this post, 17 magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes have shook the planet during 2010. Normally, through the 35th week of the year only 9 or 10 earthquakes of this magnitude have struck.
Magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes up 93% compared with the last 10 years
Magnitude 7 – 7.9 earthquakes up 68% compared with the last 110 years
Magnitude 6 – 6.9 earthquakes up 21% compared with last 10 years

Magnitude 5 – 5.9 earthquakes up 21% compared with last 10 years
Magnitude 5 – 5.9 earthquakes up 42% compared with last 110 years
Magnitude 8 – 8.9 earthquakes have already reached the average (1 per year), and again, four months to go…

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
Enormous Ring is Developing on the Sun
What is this strange ring that has been developing on the Sun during 16-Oct?
Sunspot 1112, located in the southeast quadrant, has been the source of a giant filament that is currently stretching 400,000 km across the surface of the Sun.
However, today, there appears to be development of a enormous circular ring which looks to be linking with the huge magnetic filament of sunspot 1112. Most of today’s various wavelength images of the Sun all show this feature over at the SDO (Solar Dynamics Observatory) – NASA website.
SpaceWeather.com today reports,
A vast filament of magnetism is cutting across the Sun’s southern hemisphere today. A bright ‘hot spot’ just north of the filament’s midpoint is UV radiation from sunspot 1112. The proximity is no coincidence; the filament appears to be rooted in the sunspot below. If sunspot flares, it could cause the entire structure to erupt. This active region merits watching…
What concerns me is that if indeed this is a huge magnetic filament nearly encircling the entire Sun, it is now currently directly facing the Earth. If sunspot 1112 does erupt, could the entire filament explode into a massive CME?
This particular phenomenon will be all over in a few days as it rotates around the Sun, but it serves to remind us that there are more and more events happening on the Sun as we transit into the next solar cycle maximum (peaking ~ 2012 into 2013).
CME is short for coronal mass ejection, a plasma made up of mostly electrons and protons.
Basically, a CME is electromagnetic radiation that is ejected from active regions of the sun.
CMEs directed at Earth can interfere with radio communications, harm satellites, and even damage electrical power transmission circuits and infrastructure, potentially causing widespread power grid failure. The biggest threat to human civilization is the later, a massive power grid failure, which could take months or even years to repair. This circumstance would require an extremely powerful CME, which fortunately do not occur on a regular basis.

Wicked Wind Storm Does Number On N.J.
Small Planes Flipped Over, Heavily Damaged At Trenton Airport
November 17, 2010 7:00 PM
TRENTON, N.J. (CBS 2 / WCBS 880/1010 WINS) – The East Coast was a mess Wednesday and the powerful wind gusts refused to let up.
Earlier in the day small planes were tossed like toys, some flipped over, at Trenton Mercer Airport. In Scotch Plains, a tree fell on a gas main. It then ruptured into a fiery explosion.
In Philadelphia there was major damage to a shopping mall. The winds demolished windows and walls and tore off the roof.
And in Baltimore, the National Weather Service is investigating reports of a tornado. The storm ripped the top off homes and destroyed trees.

Climate experts warn of extremely cold winters
Published: 17 Nov 10 10:16 CET
The coming winters could be particularly cold in Germany and Northern Europe due to the impact of climate change, weather experts warned this week.
Strong disturbances in air stream flows would be the main reason behind frosty weather, said Vladimir Petoukhov of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK).
Ice melting in the eastern Arctic Ocean could create warmer layers of air that would in turn change air flows, he said.
“Should it occur these disturbances would triple the possibility of an extremely cold winter in Europe and northern Asia,” he said.
“Hard winters like last year’s or in 2005-2006 do not defy the premise of global warming, but rather confirm it.”
Petoukhov and his colleagues at the institute supported their theory with simulations by supercomputers.
They focused on the Barents and Kara Seas north of Norway and Russia, where drastic shrinkage of the ice sheet was recorded in the winter of 2005-2006, a bitterly cold weather period in Europe.
“Our simulations showed a clear non-linear reaction of air temperature and wind when we shrank the ice sheet on the computer,” he said.

Large Kilauea lava shelf falls into ocean
Updated: Nov 13, 2010
Scientists at the Hawaiian Volcanoes Observatory atop Kilauea Volcano are again warning people about the danger associated with newly created land masses at the base of the volcano.
Just last week a large lava shelf, or delta, collapsed into the ocean where lava from Kilauea meets the sea. No one was killed or injured, but people have been caught by surprise before and paid the ultimate price.
"If you are standing there and it breaks off, you are going rafting in, I don't know, probably 800 degree water," Big Island resident David Jordan told Hawaii News Now.

Re: EARTH CHANGES 2011 DAILY UPDATES
5 of the decade's worst earthquakes and tsunamis
Oct 26, 3:44 pm ET
Disasters in Haiti, China, Pakistan, Indonesia and Iran collectively killed well over half a million people.
Port-au-Prince, Haiti
One of the most catastrophic natural disasters occurred on January 12, 2010 in what is considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. A massive earthquake reaching a magnitude of 7.0 struck the country of Haiti near the capital of Port-au-Prince, killing over 230,000 people. This disaster was the most devastating earthquake to hit Haiti within the past 200 years. Over 70% of the buildings and homes were destroyed in the earthquake and the loss of life is virtually inconceivable.
Sichuan Province, China
On May 12, 2008, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck Sichuan, China, resulting in the death of over 70,000 people, about 10,000 of them children. Over 80% of the building structures collapsed including about 10 schools and a chemical plant crushing hundreds of defenseless people. The Chinese officials said that the families of children lost in the earthquake would be awarded a little over $8,000.
Kashmir, Pakistan
A destructive earthquake with a 7.6 magnitude ripped through Kashmir, Pakistan killing over 75,000 people on October 8, 2005. Many structures in Kashmir and surrounding areas were shattered. Many families lost their lives and over 400 children were killed when the school buildings collapsed around them. It has been reported that many victims had not received any type of aid for over three weeks. Over $500 million dollars in aid was raised to aid those devastated by the quake, but only about 20% has been accounted for.
Sumatra, Indonesia
An earthquake of 9.0 magnitudes struck off the coast of Sumatra, Indonesia on December 26, 2004. The quake was the catalyst that generated Tsunamis bordering along the Indian Ocean. The devastation the Tsunamis left behind collided with homes, schools, and buildings; hurling trees, whirling automobiles, and killing approximately 275,000 residents.
Bam, Iran
The ancient city of Bam, Iran was almost completely ruined by a shuddering earthquake which occurred on December 26, 2003. The earthquake measured at 6.6 on the Richter scale. This disparaging earthquake toppled an historic Citadel and other 16 th and 17 th century architectural structures. Approximately 85% of the city was destroyed resulting in the injuries of at least 30,000, and the deaths of over 40,000 people. The estimated US assistance received was approximately $3,700,000.

Idaho scientists find new seismic fault in Rockies
november 17th
SALMON, Idaho (Reuters) – Scientists at Idaho State University have mapped a previously unknown and active seismic fault in the northern Rockies capable of unleashing an earthquake with a magnitude as high as 7.5.
The newly discovered fault in central Idaho does not lie in a densely populated area.
But Glenn Thackray, chairman of the university's geosciences department, said the 40-mile-long fracture in the Earth's crust at the base of the Sawtooth Mountains near the tiny mountain town of Stanley is cause for some concern.
"There's a chance in the next few decades there will be an earthquake on this fault, and if it does happen it will be a rather large earthquake," he said.
A 7.5 tremor is considered a major earthquake, capable of widespread heavy damage.
[Related: Decade's most haunting earthquakes]
Such a temblor would be most keenly felt at an epicenter near Stanley, home to about 100 year-round residents, with moderate shaking expected to extend from the resort community of Sun Valley to the capital city of Boise, Thackray said.
Scientists located the fault with a remote sensing technique that relies on laser-equipped airplanes. They were able to gather data about its history by analyzing sediment cores lifted from Redfish Lake, a mountain lake on the fault line famous for its historic sockeye salmon runs.
Thackray said researchers believe the fault triggered two earthquakes over the past 10,000 years, one some 7,000 years ago and another 4,000 years ago, suggesting significant seismic activity occurs at the site every several thousand years.
"Predicting when a fault might rupture is a real uncertainty of science," he said. "The problems with earthquakes and faults are they don't follow reliable patterns."
Given the findings, it may be prudent for towns like Stanley to revamp building codes and emergency preparedness plans, Thackray said.
A fault at Idaho's tallest mountain caused a 6.9 magnitude earthquake in 1983. The Borah Peak earthquake killed two children when a storefront collapsed in the central Idaho town of Challis and damaged buildings within a 50-mile radius. Other active faults in central Idaho lie in the Beaverhead, Lemhi and Lost River mountain ranges.

Something Is Not Right with Yemen Earthquakes by Mitch Battros – Earth Changes Media Every seismologist is familiar with earthquake swarms. The ongoing activity near Yemen does not fit anyone’s model. Many of you might remember my 2003 investigation with the USGS over a reported 5.3 magnitude earthquake near Yellowstone. When I asked: “what was the cause?” Their answer was “it was most likely mine collapse.” Upon further investigation with USGS headquarters in Colorado, I asked: “if it was a mine blast, what size of underground explosive would cause a 5.3 quake?” The answer: “It would take a small nuclear bomb to cause our seismographs.” That’s right … a thermal nuclear devise. Why, how, when, who — all good questions, yet not one answer. What I can assure you of, without going into woo-woo land, is a swarm of earthquakes ranging in the 4.5 to 5.3 magnitude suggest something is about to pop ie undersea volcano, or foul play is indeed at hand. The average acknowledged earthquake swarm usually produces magnitudes between 2.0 to 3.5. When a swarm occurs in the area of a volcano or fault line, once the magnitudes reach 4.0, the area is put on alert, and a distance of 10 to 50 miles in circumference is evacuated.
