Re: LIBYA NOW
Gadafy daughter who 'died' in 1986 alive
http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2011/0826/breaking15.html
The adopted daughter of Muammar Gadafy, whom he claimed died as an infant in the 1986 US bombing of his Tripoli compound, appears to be alive and worked as a doctor in the Libyan capital, documents discovered by The Irish Times indicate.http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2011/0826/breaking15.html
A room belonging to Hana Muammar Gadafy in the section of the Bab al-Azizia compound where the Gadafy family lived contained several documents that appear to indicate she grew up to study medicine in Tripoli and took English classes at the British Council in the Libyan capital.
Many Libyans have long doubted the story of Hana’s death, which Gadafy used to bolster the notion that he was a victim of western military aggression.
Among the items discovered by The Irish Times yesterday are an examination paper from a Libyan university medical faculty signed “Hana Muammar Gadafy” in Arabic, and photographs of Hana including one showing her with Gadafy’s blood daughter Aisha. A British Council certificate, dated July 19th, 2007, showed that Hana Muammar Gadafy had achieved an overall A grade in an English language course there.

Re: LIBYA NOW
Now this is interesting.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-12531442
Adopted son and nephew, Milad is credited with saving Gaddafi's life during the 1986 US bombing of the Gaddafi compound.
and
Gaddafi's second wife and mother of seven of his biological children. The couple also adopted a son and daughter, Milad and Hanna. Hanna was killed in the American bombing of Tripoli in 1986 at the age of four.
First report has her listed as an infant - age four is not an infant.
And now she is alive and a doctor. Nice.

Re: LIBYA NOW
Look what I just discovered.
The most prohibited item in the West - the infamous "Green Book" by Colonel Muammar Al Qaddafi, the leader of Libyan Revolution. Not even a stone standing is left of the modern Western so-called "democracy". E-book (PDF file with clickable 'Contents' menu). English language. 279 Kb pdf file with only 32 pages in A4 format. But these 32 pages might really open your eyes. The Green Book is probably the best book on the modern non-Communist sociology.

Here his name is spelled with a Q just as I remembered.
Now is this the same person or is it not?
Did he alter the spelling of his name?
His adopted daughter is killed in 1986 but alive and a doctor now.
I thought for sure he died too in the eighties - but maybe not.
Timelines manipulated?
IMPO, very possible.
The people who show up now whom I remembered dying are serving humanity. So maybe the good guys are at work here - just well hidden.

Muammar Qaddafi’s Family Is in Algeria

Nobody knows exactly where former Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi is these days, but a spokesman told the AP yesterday that he remains somewhere in Libya. His wife and three of his kids, though, have turned up in Algeria, according to the government there. Speaking of interesting Qaddafi family news, that infant daughter of Qaddafi's who was killed in a 1986 U.S. airstrike? She's apparently alive and working as a doctor in Tripoli.
Muammar Muhammad al-Gaddafi[4] (Arabic: مُعَمَّر القَذَّافِي Muʿammar al-Qaḏḏāfī audio (help·info);[variations] born 7 June 1942), commonly known as Muammar Gaddafi /ˈmoʊ.əmɑr ɡəˈdɑːfi/, was the de facto autocratic ruler of Libya from 1969 to 2011, after seizing power in a military coup. As a result of the 2011 Libyan civil war and the creation of the National Transitional Council, Gaddafi has become a disputed ruler, losing almost all domestic and international recognition. He abolished the Libyan Constitution of 1951, and adopted laws based on his political ideology.[5] His 41 years, 363 days in power have made him the fourth longest-ruling non-royal leader since 1900, as well as the longest-ruling Arab leader.[6] He variously styled himself as 'the Brother Leader', 'Guide of the Revolution' and 'King of Kings'.

Hot tubs, flat screen TVs and photographs of Condoleeza Rice are just some what of what’s been found in Gaddafi’s Bab al-Aziziya complex and other properties. The New York Times reports that journalists and Human Rights Watch have found at least at least three binders of English-language documents, one marked C.I.A. and the other two marked MI-6 — the British intelligence service — in the Tripoli office of Moussa Koussa, Libya’s former spymaster. Not only do the documents suggest “close relations” between the C.I.A. and the Libyan intelligence service. They also reveal that Americans sent individuals suspected of terrorism at least eight times for questioning in Libya, despite knowing they might be tortured.
Western intelligence services began cooperating with Libya after it withdrew from a program to build unconventional weapons in 2004. While the documents’ authenticity cannot be proven, the C.I.A. is mentioned a number of times and certain details “seem consistent with what is known about the transfer of terrorism suspects abroad for interrogation and with other agency practices.” Some media reports have referred to Libya as “as one country that the United States used as part of its much criticized rendition program for terrorism suspects.”

Re: LIBYA NOW
I was just reading this little article Former MI5 head: Torture is 'wrong and never justified'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14750998
and had been watching the series "The Event" where peace loving human looking aliens land on earth in 1947 and end up going native (using violence to achieve their objectives). How this series is evolving is disturbing from multiple perspectives
Obviously with the inconsistencies in the TV plot and reading this bit on torture and violence it triggered in me a question.
Why indulge in violence in the first place? This is not to say we don't have violent urges when threatened or even that these urges are not part of our survival code. However, there has to be other, more intelligent methods of getting information without violence.
With all of the mind altering drugs, especially MDMA or LSD, one could have a huge advantage in gathering information and leave the subject with a truly mind-altering experience. "MDMA (3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is a synthetic, psychoactive drug that is chemically similar to the stimulant methamphetamine and the hallucinogen mescaline. MDMA produces feelings of increased energy, euphoria, emotional warmth, and distortions in time, perception, and tactile experiences." A good interviewer could get data they never even expected. In addition there are numerous other drugs available as well. So this whole issue of torture and murder takes another step if one understands how it feeds the negative entities from the dark side.
Personally, I think those who indulge in torturing others get sadistic pleasure out of their brutality and it is the brutality that needs to end.
I've often wondered just how effective an army would be if it ingested MDMA. Or even rebels for that matter. Too bad someone can't just put it in coke cans or water bottles and distribute it to those one wishes to unlock from their violent mindset.
How Does MDMA Affect the Brain?
"MDMA exerts its primary effects in the brain on neurons that use the chemical (or neurotransmitter) serotonin to communicate with other neurons. The serotonin system plays an important role in regulating mood, aggression, sexual activity, sleep, and sensitivity to pain. MDMA binds to the serotonin transporter, which is responsible for removing serotonin from the synapse (or space between adjacent neurons) to terminate the signal between neurons; thus MDMA increases and prolongs the serotonin signal. MDMA also enters the serotonergic neurons via the transporter (because MDMA resembles serotonin in chemical structure) where it causes excessive release of serotonin from the neurons. MDMA has similar effects on another neurotransmitter—norepinephrine, which can cause increases in heart rate and blood pressure. MDMA also releases dopamine, but to a much lesser extent."
Of course there is a down side with prolong use but short term (1-3 times space out with a few weeks in-between) can be quite effective.
http://www.nida.nih.gov/infofacts/ecstasy.html
The bottom line is that when I see this type of activity going on, missiles fired and the death and maiming of innocent victims it breaks my heart.
These types of situations are appalling from the onset.
Now... I do understand how we should fight to protect ourselves given the reality of what is going on in the world. What my comment means is that this is such a sad state of affairs that violence is what our culture engages in to begin with.
