poisonous space clouds....sth really new...and I do not believe that. They had to come up with a more plausible story since it started happening all over the world and they couldn't blame it on fireworks.

I don't know if it is related but the trend we are witnessing since
the oil spill started is more and more environmental and animal deaths .
This thread is as much disheartening to me as the oil spill one .
To me there is a before and after the oil spill .

I personnally believe Mercuriel that Mother Earth is undergoing some geo
magnetic changes but also that TPTB are jumping on this opportunity to
further their own plans with their Haarp technology making everything worser
than it would be if handled by nature only.

Cold weather kills 10,000 heads of cattle

    http://english.vovnews.vn/Home/Cold-weather-kills-10000-heads-of-cattle/20111/123200.vov

The Veterinary Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) announced about huge losses in cattle caused by the long cold spell in recent days.

The department stated the costly deaths occurred despite the best efforts of local authorities and people to save their livestock.

Following statistics at 4pm on January 16, total of 9,248 heads of cattle died in provinces including Lang Son, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Bac Can, Ha Giang, Tuyen Quang, Son La, Quang Ninh, Hoa Binh, Lao Cai, Bac Giang, Lai Chau, Ha Tinh and Quang Binh.

Cao Bang province suffered the greatest losses, with 1,996 heads of cattle dead, followed by Lang Son (1,380 heads of cattle) and Son La (1,300 heads of cattle).

The Veterinary Department appointed delegations to cities and provinces to coordinate with local animal health departments to fight against hunger and chill for cattle.

Prime Minister requested the chairmen of provincial people’s committees in cities and provinces nationwide send task forces to closely control and actively use the local budget to support materials and expenditure for poor households and farmers.

The Ministry of Finance, in coordination with the MARD and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, was requested to carry out measures to guide, check and assist localities in fighting against cold weather and restoring production of cattle.

5000 Dead Birds? - Page 7 Empty Japan Is on High Alert as a Virus Infiltrates Bird-Heavy Regions

Post  AscendingStarseed Wed Jan 19, 2011 1:47 am

So could any of these kills have anything to do with setting up the next H5N1 bird flu false flag pandemic? Seems like a very opportune moment for another vaccine run...didn't Ed Dames say a bird flu pandemic takes hold in the next year or so?

    January 3, 2011

    By DONALD G. McNEIL Jr.

Japanese bird sanctuaries, poultry farms and zoos went on high alert last month after several species of migratory birds in different regions were found dead of what appeared to be H5N1 avian influenza.

The virus frightened flu specialists when it resurfaced in Hong Kong in 2003 and quickly spread throughout Asia and along bird migratory routes to Europe and Africa. It has not mutated to spread among humans, though it still kills them occasionally — Egypt reported its 38th death last month.

According to articles in the Japanese press gathered by ProMED, which monitors disease outbreaks, a hooded crane was found dead of H5N1 on the Izumi Plain in Kagoshima Prefecture in southern Japan. The plain is Japan’s largest wild crane wintering site, and the prefecture is the nation’s top poultry-raising area.

Meanwhile, in Tottori, several hundred miles north, a wild tundra swan was found on a house balcony dying of what was tentatively identified as the flu virus found on a poultry farm about four miles away. That set off a search of the area, turning up 23 more dead birds, which are being tested.

Farther north, in Toyama Prefecture, a dead mute swan led to inspections of nearby poultry farms and a decision by a park in Hyogo Prefecture, on Japan’s Inland Sea, to stop displaying its white storks, a national treasure, for fear that they would come into contact with infected wild birds.

George gives his perspective on the mass animal kills happening, that basically life is beginning to deconstruct in the natural order of things and the kills are just a part of the mass exodus taking place at this time.

    Yankton Sees Bird Kill-Off
    Tuesday, January 18, 2011

Officials: Cause Of The Deaths Poses No Danger To Humans
    By Nathan Johnson

It is estimated that more than 200 dead starlings were found in downtown Yankton Monday. However, it is not believed the deaths pose a threat to humans.

Yankton Animal Control Officer Lisa Brasel estimated that she collected 200 starlings Monday, and employees of the city Parks and Recreation Department were also on the scene picking up deceased birds. The total number of corpses gathered up by city employees has not yet been compiled.

“I talked to one of the local vets, and they said there is nothing wrong (with the birds),” said Brasel, who took specimens to a veterinary office. “They just didn’t migrate and are dying. I was going to call the South Dakota Department of Health to see what they have to say about it, but they are closed today (because of Martin Luther King Day).”

The birds were found around trees on the north side of Riverside Park, as well as on the north side of Second Street between Capitol and Pine streets.

The mass bird death in Yankton comes on the heels of other large animal kill-offs around the world that have people buzzing. Many began taking notice when, on New Year’s Eve, an estimated 5,000 blackbirds dropped dead in Beebe, Ark. Since then, reports of more bird deaths, as well as those of crabs, cows and fish, have come in from around the world. Some of the incidents have been attributed to pedestrian causes — birds colliding with objects and each other after a fireworks display, or cows with a virus — while others await explanation.

Some of the more creative accounts have the deaths related to secretive government experiments or, for those familiar with the movie “2012” and many books with similar apocalyptic predictions, the supposed end of the world.

However, scientists have been downplaying the events.

“Five billion birds die in the U.S. every year,” Melanie Driscoll, a biologist and director of bird conservation for the Gulf of Mexico and Mississippi Flyway for the National Audubon Society, told the New York Times recently.

That means 13.7 million birds die in the United States every day, the Times points out.

Nevertheless, the explanations of scientists don’t always ease the shock of seeing so many dead animals in one place.

Alison Brown, who works in the area where the birds were found in downtown Yankton, said at first the bird corpses just looked like clods of dirt under the trees. However, she later noticed the macabre nature of what she was seeing.

“I’m concerned as to what would be the cause of this,” Brown said.

She quickly recalled the reports of bird deaths she had seen on the news.

“The first thing I did when we saw the birds is, I looked it up online to see if they had figured out what caused the incidents in other areas,” Brown stated.

Brasel said that, in more than 10 years in the animal control field, she had never witnessed anything like it.

Late Monday afternoon, after city crews had picked up many of the birds, some corpses still remained.

“I would go to pick up one bird, and I’d find a pile four birds deep,” Brasel said.

Some dead birds remained clinging to the trees. She called the scene “creepy.”

“I did find a couple that were alive, and I took them to the vet clinic,” Brasel said. “They died within 20 minutes. They seem to be healthy. They are not skinny like they’re starving to death.”

She had also received a report of dead robins by a house in the city, but otherwise the bird deaths seemed confined to the downtown area where a thick flock of birds has been congregated for some time, flying between the trees and making a good deal of noise.

“I think it’s just a fluke thing,” Brasel said.

NEW INFO: Vet Believes Steers Died of Acute Interstitial Pneumonia

The 200 dead cattle were discovered on a farm field on 4th Street in Amherst. Sunday, the bodies were taken out in semi-loads to be disposed of.

The farm's veterinarian says preliminary results show the animals died of acute interstitial pneumonia, also known as AIP. Samples from the dead animals were sent to Madison for testing.

The vet says the steers began to die early last week, with the last dying Saturday. The animals started showing symptoms of illness and then died within 12 hours. The vet says animals didn't respond to treatment.

The herd's owner declined to comment on the situation.

Investigators say there is no threat to people or other animals. The Portage County Humane Society is investigating the deaths.

The cattle on the farm are not quarantined.

Hundreds Of Dead Birds In South Dakota Were Killed By U.S. Government

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/20/hundreds-of-dead-birds-in_n_811709.html

When hundreds of dead birds were found Monday in Yankton, South Dakota, many residents were puzzled, thinking it was the latest in a string of similar mysterious mass animal deaths around the world. But this is one instance of the many where a clear cause has been identified, as the U.S. government claims responsibility for killing the more than 200 starlings.

It was initially believed that cold weather may have caused the bird deaths, but then Yankton police received a call from the USDA, attesting that they had poisoned the birds at a feedlot 10 miles away, KTIV reports. Apparently, some 5,000 of the birds were defecating in the feed meal, posing a threat to the animals and farm workers, when the USDA decided killing them would be the best action to take.

A bait laced with the poison DRC-1339 was used, though officials were surprised the birds made it so far before dying. They assure that the poisoned dead birds do not pose a risk to nearby animals or humans.

While the mystery of dead birds falling from the sky in South Dakota was quickly solved, similar mass animal deaths around the world remain enigmatic. 200 dead cows were recently found on a farm in Wisconsin, with a disease or pneumonia suspected as the culprit. Prior to that, mass bird deaths ranging from dozens to thousands were reported in Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, Kentucky, California, Italy and Sweden. Mass fish death had been report in Arkansas, Maryland, Chicago, New Zealand and Brazil, and 40,000 crabs washed ashore beaches in England.

Officials don't believe any of the incidents are related, and suspect a wide range of causes to be responsible, from cold weather and fireworks to semi-truck collisions and overeating, though they admit in many instances a clear cause may never be identified. According to The AP, mass animal deaths are not a rare occurrence.

    Beijing reports mass bird deaths
    Jan 21, 2011

    http://english.ruvr.ru/2011/01/21/40584234.html

A massive wild bird kill is reported from a Beijing suburb.

Dozens of dead blackbirds, mallards and magpies have been found along the banks of the Xiaojing River, according to the Huang’jiu Ribao newspaper.

A staff member of a centre for hygiene and epidemiological control does not rule out that the birds have died of starvation and unfavourable weather conditions.

Mass bird deaths for no obvious reason has been registered in Sweden, the United States, Italy and Canada since early this year.

Residents in Riverside are concerned about what they say is a major fish kill in the Detroit River. Andre Mailhot was out walking his Jack Russell terrier in Alexander Park -- a municipal park that runs along Riverside Drive roughly between Strabane and George avenues -- on Tuesday when he saw "thousands and thousands" of dead fish floating in the water. "I couldn't believe it. As far as I could see, I could see all those little white spots," Mailhot said. "They were just coming down the river like somebody threw them in the water." He contacted the Ministry of the Environment to report his findings. No one from the ministry could be reached Thursday night.

Jan. 11, 2011 CHICAGO, IL - A bizarre scene is evolving on the Chicago lakefront, with Canada geese and mallard ducks gulping down dead or dying gizzard shad.

A major die-off of what appears to be the 2010 class is happening in Chicago harbors. Thousands, perhaps far more than that, of dead gizzard shad in the 3- to 5-inch range are frozen in the ice of Chicago harbors or floating around in open patches of water.

One possible cause for the Chicago fish deaths comes from biologist Dan Makauskas, who says gizzard shad, part of the herring family, are “pretty sensitive.”

“On the toughness scale, the herrings are pretty soft,” said Makauskas, who believes the fish may not have built up enough reserves to survive the early, bitter cold temperatures, thus dying off abnormally.

    Jan. 9, 2011 JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO -

A NewsChannel 5 viewer called in late Saturday afternoon about more than a dozen dead birds, scattered on an overpass in Jefferson County, along Old Highway 21 and just south of Rock Creek Road.

So, after getting out there ourselves to see the starlings, we called the executive director of the World Bird Santuary, Walter Crawford, and he explained what he thought the cause of this actually common fall-out could be.

"You have an overpass there," he said. "A lot of times birds will roost under these overpasses, especially in really cold winter...and, of course, mother nature weeds out the sick, the old and the injured and it could be that these were birds that were very old and just couldn't deal with the climate."

Jan. 5, 2011 LINCOLN PARK, Michigan -- Hundreds of dead fish have been found in a pond in Lincoln Park.

A Local 4 viewer sent in photos of the dead fish in Council Point Park.

When passed onto the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, a representative from the office identified them as gizzard shad, a fish belonging to the herring family.

The office said it had received several reports of the fish turning up dead in the St. Clair and Detroit rivers.

The office said fish deaths are normal at this time of year because of the cold temperatures, but also said that researchers would be looking into it further.

A contamination is not suspected in the fish's deaths.

“We think it’s a natural occurrence,” Kowalski said. “They died off as a result of temperature shock because we had that really warm weekend ... and then it quickly cooled off again.”

Kowalski said such die-offs are not unusual but it typically happens in the spring.

Only one species was affected, further supporting the idea it was a natural occurrence, she said.

I picked this in a comments thread under European times article :

I have also noticed a problem with the animals in Central West New South Wales, Australia where I live.
When alot of rain is coming, ants hurry faster to get food and travel upwards or inside so they don’t drown. I had massive flooding here weeks ago and yet the ants never picked up the rain coming. Nor did the birds who were flying high as usual; nor did sheep and cattle who usually all lay down when a storm is coming.

A sign that these floods may not be natural but man made ?

I had massive flooding here weeks ago and yet the ants never picked up the rain coming. Nor did the birds who were flying high as usual; nor did sheep and cattle who usually all lay down when a storm is coming.

A sign that these floods may not be natural but man made ?

Port Director Odd Bernt Mevold is one of those who collect the birds. - So far today we've picked up ten birds, so there is a high mortality rate now.

    - What happens in the harbor here is tragic, "said Mevold to NRK.

Now the door is about 10 birds a day in the area, and it is not normal, "says Mevold.

    - They behave quite abnormal, nervous system and their coordination ability does not work, "says Mevold.

It is also found dead crabs. .

Do not think the pollution is to blame

NOK A DEAD BIRD: Every day, they find 10 more dead birds.

County Department of Environmental Affairs keeps a close eye on bird death in Andenes Harbour, where people still find dead birds.

County Miljøvernsjef Roar Høgset do not think the birds have died from pollution.

    - And it had been heavily polluted, would the fish started to die before the crabs, "says Høgset to NRK.

But Høgset emphasizes that one must now await the results of the analysis of the dead birds and crabs.

Trapped in ice, 'thousands' of fish die in Detroit River
    JANUARY 21, 2011

Fish appear to be trapped by ice flows on the Detroit River near Windsor's Alexander Park at Riverside Drive East and George Avenue Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011. Hundreds of dead fish can be seen, with thousands of other schooling below the surface.

Residents in Riverside are concerned about what they say is a major fish kill in the Detroit River.

Andre Mailhot was out walking his Jack Russell terrier in Alexander Park - a municipal park that runs along Riverside Drive roughly between Strabane and George Avenues - on Tuesday when he saw "thousands and thousands" of dead fish floating in the water.

"I couldn't believe it. As far as I could see, I could see all those little white spots," Mailhot said. "They were just coming down the river like somebody threw them in the water."

Tuesday's weather was on the mild side, but once temperatures dropped later in the week, the fish became embedded in the ice, Mailhot said.

He said he returned to the park on Wednesday and found two dead ducks.

He contacted the Ministry of the Environment to report his findings, and said he believes the department is investigating. No one from the ministry could be reached Thursday night.

    Dying birds stir extinction fears
KIRAN CHUG Last updated 05:00 22/01/2011

    http://www.stuff.co.nz/environment/4569240/Dying-birds-stir-extinction-fears

Little penguins are dying in their hundreds, leading conservationists to fear they are starving as a result of the La Nina weather system.

Other seabirds are washing up dead on beaches, raising concerns that species could become extinct if climate change causes extreme weather events to become more frequent.

At Wellington Zoo, two starving little blue penguin chicks have been brought in this week. One died on Wednesday and the other, found at Lyall Bay, was hanging on to life yesterday.

The zoo's veterinary science manager, Lisa Argilla, said petrels were also starving around Wellington's south coast, and five shags had been brought in this month. "They're unable to find enough food. We've had a lot of starvations and a lot of mortalities."

At Banks Peninsula, hundreds of little white-flippered penguin chicks have died of starvation, according to Shireen Helps, who has been caring for the colony on her property for about 25 years.

"There were chicks dying in their burrows, in the hillside, and heaps dying on the water."

Dr Argilla said the calm La Nina seas meant fewer small fish and plankton close to the surface of the water for them to feed on.

Those brought into the zoo were likely to be just a very small portion of those dying. She was concerned that more frequent extreme weather events could lead to extinctions in some species – penguins, for example, needed five or six years of good conditions for populations to regenerate.

The strong La Nina had brought with it conditions that made for a bad breeding year. "They're natural occurrences that always happen, but now they're happening more regularly and it's playing havoc with wildlife populations."

However, National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research principal scientist James Renwick said it was unknown whether La Nina would be stronger or happen more frequently in future.

This year's La Nina was the strongest since 1975, when Conservation Department seabird scientist Graeme Taylor said many hundreds of seabirds died.

This year shearwaters in northern North Island colonies were dying because of a lack of feeding opportunities, he said, and gannets at Muriwai and Great Barrier Island had experienced a "major failure" of breeding. "Birds are just sitting on empty nests."

Mrs Helps and husband Francis have 1063 breeding pairs at their colony, but most of the chicks that hatched between October and December have died.

The population had risen from 717 breeding pairs in 2000, but Mrs Helps believed the number of little penguins at the colony could fall next year.

Unusually warm currents had made it difficult for adults to find food, leading them to stay out searching at sea for too long while their chicks needed feeding, she said.

"The chicks got thirsty and hungry and realised Mum and Dad weren't coming back. A lot ended up in the sea but they were too young."

The penguins needed to weigh at least a kilogram before they could survive at sea, but when chicks were rescued, it was initially difficult to get them eating again.

    Ad Feedback

"If they've had no food for a long time, their whole system shuts down and they can't digest it. Even if you feed them, they start spitting it up again."

Conservation Department vet Kate McInnes said that, during La Nina, cold currents did not come up around New Zealand and stir up the ocean to bring food near the surface.

She also advised that freeing birds rescued from starvation was risky.

"There's still no food out there."

Niwa marine ecologist Leigh Torres said albatrosses were showing signs of being "hungrier" this year.

Around the Snares Islands, 200 kilometres south of the South Island, birds were searching harder for prey and flying closer to fishing boats.

Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony manager Jason Gaskill said no chicks there had starved, but warmer sea surface temperatures led to poorer breeding conditions for fish and less food for penguins, which would affect this year's season.

USDA found to be poisoning bird populations, causing mass die-offs involving millions of birds

    Friday, January 21, 2011

    Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/031076_USDA_bird_deaths.html#ixzz1BnwVxZYJ(NaturalNews)

Not all the mysterious bird die-offs that have been witnessed around the globe recently are due to unexplained causes. A recent mass die-off event witnessed in Yankton, South Dakota was traced back to the USDA which admitted to carrying out a mass poisoning of the birds.

After hundreds of starlings were found dead in the Yankton Riverside Park, concerned citizens began to investigate. Before long, a USDA official called the local police and admitted they had poisoned the birds. "They say that they had poisoned the birds about ten miles south of Yankton and they were surprised they came to Yankton like they did and died in our park," says Yankton Animal Control Officer Lisa Brasel, as reported by KTIV (http://www.ktiv.com/Global/story.as...).

The USDA then confirmed the story and explained it was all "part of a large killing" in Nebraska. Some of the birds that ate the poison apparently flew all the way to Yankton before succumbing to the poison.

Watch the video yourself, as reported from KTIV:
    http://naturalnews.tv/v.asp?v=191572F79E8B2C64705B4AB182AF54F9

USDA mass-murders birds on a regular basis

So why was the USDA poisoning birds in the first place? A Nebraska farmer was apparently complaining that the starlings were defecating in his feed meal. The answer to this conundrum apparently isn't to cover your feed meal but rather call the USDA and ask them to poison thousands of birds.

The USDA complied, apparently agreeing this was a brilliant idea. So they put out a poison called DRC-1339 and allowed thousands of birds to feed on that poison.

Carol Bannerman from USDA Wildlife Services ridiculously claimed the bird kill was also to protect "human health."

"We're doing it to address, in this case, agricultural damage as well as the potential for human health and safety issues," she said. That's just a lie, of course. In what universe do starlings pose a threat to human health and safety?

The USDA Wildlife Services website, by the way, is http://www.aphis.usda.gov

The USDA even has a name for this mass poisoning program: Bye Bye Blackbird. Through the use of poisons such as DRC-1339, the USDA has killed more than four million birds over the last several years, reports Truthout (http://www.truth-out.org/bye-bye-bl...).

They even proudly publish an online spreadsheet showing just how many they've murdered with poison: http://www.aphis.usda.gov/wildlife_...

Remember, these are mass bird killings that are funded with your tax dollars. It all makes you wonder whether the government is, in fact, responsible for many of the other mysterious animal deaths that have been reported across the country (and around the globe).

It also makes you wonder: If the federal government thinks nothing of murdering 4 million living, breathing birds, then what else might they be capable of doing out of a total lack of respect for wildlife?

And if the USDA poisons birds because certain groups become too populous, what do you suppose is planned for when human population grows too large?

Are any of your pets acting strangely?

As we all try to figure out what's going on with mass kills in the wild, it occurred to me that "thankfully" there haven't been any reports yet of unusual deaths among household pets. Mudra found an entry to a post stating that the ants weren't following normal patterns of moving upwards when rains were pending. So, has anyone noticed unusual behavior with their pets lately, that might indicate something unusual is happening with "energy's"?

The last three or four nights my pet Diamond Dove has been stressed out, or acting disturbed by something. He's normally a very happy little bird, who's also very aware and sensitive to psychic energies. On Tues or Wed evening he began making this sound he makes when he's upset and went on all evening with it, and has continued every night I'm beginning to wonder if he isn't sensing something we're not picking up on. He's never done this before, except for maybe a few minutes at a time on very rare occasions.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed odd behavior with any of their pets, or even any unexplained or unusual illness's or deaths that might be associated with what's taking place on a larger scale worldwide.

Updated List Of Animal Die-Offs 2009-2011

    http://www.rense.com/general92/Die-Offs.html

Here's your list of 60+ of the recent animal die-offs. I didn't include the honeybees, earthworms, or most insect life, as they're a subject all by themselves. I also skipped most frog die-offs. Of course, everything in the Gulf of Mexico is dying; i skipped that entirely. The media's explanations in red are there primarily for your amusement. Nor am i at this time going to give my own thoughts as to the cause(s), as many people have studied this subject all their lives and have put very good information out. The references are as close as i could find to the original news releases; often this simply was not possible in the time allotted. Note that most of these have occurred in the last month.

OMG! This is so tragic. Yet if it is due to earth changes we may be not to far behind them.

Crow Roosts – Huge Flocks of Crows
These Birds Sleep Together in Trees in Fall and Winter

    Dec 21, 2008 Rosemary Drisdelle

Evergreens and Darkness Hide Most of the Crows - Rosemary Drisdelle
Thousands of crows gathering together in stands of trees are an incredible sight. These days, crow roosts are common in cities; they inspire both wonder and irritation.

Beginning in fall as the days draw in, crows do something strange and interesting: birds that forage over a large area during the day come together to spend the night in a communal roost. Crow populations are high in many areas, and roosts of a million birds have been reported.

They begin to gather about an hour before sunset. Single birds, small flocks and sometimes long lines of hundreds or thousands of birds converge on a particular area.

    Where Do Crows Roost?
Crows in North America used to roost in the countryside but, beginning in the ‘60s, and increasingly through the ‘70s and ‘80s, they moved into cities. They choose both evergreen and deciduous trees, often clumps of trees surrounded by open spaces. To find a crow roost, watch for birds at sundown and follow them.
