What we fail to talk about is that which in us resonates with religion.
Our feelings of wonder, awe and devotion for which religion is an easy hang-up which we can use to express those tendencies with.
Religion is a way of self expression and although like any form of expression it is easily misconstrued into something ugly.
It's basis. The expression of human love is there for those that need it.
Sure most institutionalized religion become an empty hypocritical construct for the masses. And in that respect this thread shows that kind of hypocrisy and intolerance all over it. That said..
Go withing and find your expression. Most will find it's outlet is based on experiences we have had in the past.
Ritualized in a way that makes it easier to access.
