We're losing a battle in our garden with the deer.
We've
used the sprays that are available and the moment it rains or a few
days after we spray, bulbs, plants, flowers, everything is deer food.
Any brilliant ideas ?
High
field fences 8 feet high with bob wire strung along at the top. The
other thing I learned was to plant stuff they didn't like (daffodiles,
rosemary, etc). They also didn't like irish spring soap, human urine,
mark your territory. The best bet though if you want a garden is to
completely enclose it in some way. In Yosemite, we built an arbor with
lattice sides, gate and grew flowers and stuff in there. The roof was
2" by 2" spaced where the light came through and in summer grew grapes
up the sides.
