Why so quiet here lately?

Dearest Brook. Thank you so much for sharing your son with us with your memories, photos, poem and videos. It seems he had such a full life and lived it to the max. I'm truly sorry for yours and everyone else's loss.

It's wonderfull to come to know John a little better through all your latest posts here dear Brook and those Susan left for us.
Your son is truly an amazing being that seemed to enjoy life on Earth so much and live it to the brim.
His passage here was sadly all too short but he used every moment of it well and made a difference.
He left so many traces in people's hearts.

Probably the last thing I'll share here...but probably the most important. Last Thanksgiving I was really missing my kids back in California. John called me for the recipe for the oyster dressing I made every Thanksgiving.....My youngest lives there and was being trained and under the wing of his older brother John.

Never never take life for granted. don't sweat the small stuff...live life to the fullest.....and don't forget to tell those around you how much you love them....I swear you won't regret it!...........ever.

I am a newbie here and somehow got to your post. It is nice to see that you wanted to share what was in your heart. I would like to share what I learned about the "ego" state of mind. It is always looking for something new because it is constantly bored and does NOT like peace..it is not the egos natural state and will seek to disrupt it as it wants diversions, new dramas or information but it rarely sits back and digests what was given nor can it just BE in a peaceful state for awhile.

I have found this true for myself and when I finally realized this it made me realize why I could never find the elusive Peace I wanted. So this seems like a really nice forum where members know each other, are respectful and maybe some have reached that realization that the space, the quiet time is ok because there will be new things to share by someone.

Is there really that much new under the sun..I mean for myself I could not agree with you more about the conspiracy theories, TPTB, the economic collapse, etc etc. Like Carol was saying, the sun is going through changes and it is being reflected in the internet service. What will you do if the grid goes out? that is part of what is coming so there may be a time when there is no connection here and we need to prepare ourselves for that because this is what this forum has been doing I think for some time.

So, I hope this helps you as I do not criticize you at all...I think it is just the "ego" sayin g ok, I heard that so give me something new, something else so I will not have to just Be because nothing is going on. If you ever saw the movie, The Peaceful Warrior, he is shown from his boredom that there are no "ordinary moments" as there is always something going on if you take the time to be still and look or listen.

A warm welcome from me too Liberti and thank you for your comment. I like it when someone expresses their views on how I’m coming across to others here. One never truly knows what impressions one’s giving unless there is feedback like this which then allows us to review our expression, zooming in on whatever focus is being placed. When we are trying to learn, grow and improve ourselves, I see that as a gift. So again, thank you.

I must say, you seem to have my ego pretty well pegged lol. I could also say that it is, in my view, who I’m supposed to be. If you know Astrology, I can explain that by telling you that I have Sun conjunct Venus and IC in Gemini, along with Mercury conjunct Uranus in Cancer, so yes, what you said is a rather good summary of how my ego expresses itself. But with those aspects, learning and communicating IS what brings me peace and joy at an ego level, particularly when it’s new stuff (Uranus) that helps me to realize our relationship to the Multiverse better, rather than just this planet. I’d also like to explain that I’ve chosen and am able to not to have to work for the past few years so I do have time to integrate all I learn, meditate, and, as you say, just BE. That I love also. Life is great.
I also agree with you that this forum and the Internet generally is a great vehicle for learning all we can before (and if) the grids go down, knowing what it is we may have to deal with if that happens and be prepared. I seem to have gotten to a point in my studies in which the overall patterns at work here are quite well known but I also believe in evolution and that thought manifests, so I am watching quietly for more to occur.

What I would like to add though is that I disagree with the general trend these days of seeing anything that comes out of the ego as being something to be dismissed as less than all else we humans are, i.e. just the "ego". I know many religions and spiritual doctrines promote this view but I just can’t agree with it. I believe that incarnating with a particular ego signature is God’s plan and that it helps us to learn and achieve whatever it is that our Souls chose to in this life and that is a gift.

But it must be said also that we need to learn to recognize and flush out the negative aspects that come with ego, i.e. all the fear-based behaviour patterns that are inculcated into it and it’s tendency to want to dominate us so our Souls and Spirits can’t get a word in edgeways. I think that when that’s achieved the ego can be a tool that the Soul and Spirit can work in harmony with to effectively carry out the Soul’s goals in this lifetime. So I believe the goal should be more to one of positively integrating the multiple levels of being that we are rather than totally repressing the particular tool that the Soul chose to work through here.

I also believe the ego gives us a connection to and understanding of other lifeforms on this planet, so integration with them and Mother Earth Herself can occur too. I really don’t think God set up this pattern of incarnation without good reason. I see the fear and the negative behaviours that our ego is susceptible to, in being linked to our ‘animal’ bodies primarily, as being more the problem rather than the ego itself. But oh, what great lessons we can learn from it also lol.

Obviously I might be reading too much into your short comment so I’d like to ask if our views are in harmony on ego Liberti, or do you have a different view? I realize mine may not be ‘popular’ with some and that’s OK too. One of the main reasons I’m here is to find out if my life lessons are in alignment with that of others or not and why so I can learn more from the wisdom of others so as to continue evolving hopefully. And I have learned a lot here, including from you now Liberti in causing me to focus on this aspect and thus realize where I’m at on that question currently.

Thank you for your well thought and respectful response. Let me first say that whatever it is you believe at this time is right for you. Experience living your life is a great teacher. You are where you are now because of decisions you have made in the past based on the knowledge and wisdom you had at that time. I can see you are curious and eager to learn all you can to improve yourself. With sun conjunct venus is gemini you are naturally curious, enjoy learning and sharing information with others, a good communicator who is respectful of others viewpoints. Mercury conjunct Uranus makes you ahead of your time, which is why you feel out of step with the world around you and this can be hard because you like peace and harmony with others and enjoy like minded companionship. It is hard to settle the mind, however with that conjunction and it is a saving grace it is in Cancer, because that helps a bit to calm it down.

Yes, we have different ideas about the ego but it is not something that I want to dwell on right now because I feel where you are is the right place for you. What I will say is that mercury & uranus means highly intuitive flashes can come to you. If you could train yourself to be still more and listen in that stillness, I bet you would get your own answers and guidance on the ego and many other things that Wisdom would want to share with you.

I have found no other way to get the insights I needed. I too read many books and had quite a library at one time, and I traveled many paths and searched for answers and asked the learned ones, feeling they have the answers I seek.

What I found is that circumstances that I attracted to myself brought me to a place that I was shut off from others for many years. I had to be alone and read a lot..I also found that when I accepted the solitude, played my mellow classical music, walked in nature or by the ocean and gave myself the time to be still that I began feeling peaceful, getting promptings of what to do next or where to go, which always proved to be right and so I learned through difficulty that my own inner Teacher was always there just waiting for me to connect.

I was brought to many groups via the internet and teachings that served me well and then I moved on because it all seemed boring or dull but this was the "plan" for me until I found something else that was a higher teaching for me and new insights came .

So I would say just keep on with what you are presently doing. You are fine where you are. Don't worry about fitting in with the world around you, you will only learn to follow like a sheep and your mind marches to a different drummer. Trust your intuitions and this is a great place for us to be . There seems to be no drama and a lot of peace and loving Beings. I am happy to be here and I hope my answer will be helpful to you. Have a wonderful sun/venus conjunction in gemini tomorrow, just like you have natally...go out and enjoy the day and have some fun, whatever that is for you.
