Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Thanks for all of the info. Carol, in the article you linked, the second wave to hit Atlantic coast would be 60 meters in the calculation. Did I see that right? And in hours. Sheeesh. Okay, well, we have to tell the thing to just chill out, right? Don't you talk to volcanoes, Carol?

lindabaker wrote:Carol and Troy, I am too right brained to figure out which way the Atlantic plate would TEND to slip. I am well away from the US East Coast, but when I read Megatsunami, it makes me wonder about how big we are talking about and what direction it could take. I am in the process of selling my home in metro Atlanta as I and others, have had dreams about water coming in that far...and I'm wondering if that is just silly thinking, or, not. Thanks p.s. I'm north of Atlanta further into the foothills now and my gods if we had an east coast water intrusion, it would affect the majority of the US population. The Mayan elders have warned of an east coast tsunami and they have also warned of Yellowstone going off. Dang, if it's not one side, it's the other! So, which way does the Atlantic plate want to go? Thanks again, Linda
Sorry for the delay, Linda. I have not had the presence of mind to even attempt to wrap my mind around some of these questions. I am grateful to be working 6 days/week, but I seem to be toast on Sundays, when I used to spend the entire day reading the details of links, and challenging myself to understand that which previously has confounded. Thus far, my success has been somewhat minimal in regard to this endeavor.
I did not realize I was coming across as left-brained. I can get confused by directions. I have a decent mind and all, but I still need help with lots of things (e.g., when I was 18 I almost joined the air force; I failed the mechanical aptitude test test, miserably, but scored very high in management. They wanted to send me to academy for officer training. I guess had I gone that route, I could just ask someone, "Which way will that go?"). hehe
I still want to look into this, but either way, any direction cannot be good. If we are in for what some say, the quake that hit Japan is going to appear quite minor in intensity.

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Thank you so much, Troy, and I wasn't saying you are left brained. I would think you are more right brained just from knowing your postings in the last few months. It must be difficult to work six days cause there's not much brain power left after that. Good to hear you have work, however. Anyway, I think the plate is already slowly moving in a north by northwest direction. Meantime, Carol, are you on the big island now? Maybe your wanting to stay on the mainland is a good idea at the moment! I just saw lava in dutch's video today.

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Yes, back on the island and still having difficulty settling in.
Oh, oh.. haven't seen Dutch's video yet Linda. Our daughter just started 10 grade this week and doesn't what to move now that she has friends. LOL I figure god has a plan and I just don't need to worry about the details anymore. I just need to be ready to act when the opportunity presents itself.
Tony, my husband is working those 6-days week too doing home health and hospice. My present to him is paying for someone to install the second-had spa I picked up a few years back so we can veg out under the stars and moonlight.

I work a lot from my emotions, as social workers do.
Dutch seems like a really nice guy, and he is certainly versed in the ways of finding and interpreting data. I am just not sure about his track record, in terms of predictions. I may not have seen enough of his vids, but often the gist of them is "there has been a lot of activity here, so watch out for this place".
I dunno. It's just not the science I would like it to be, and I am not sure what to make of predictions that others base on where they may be having pain in their body.
It can be difficult to predict without instilling a sense of fear.
I am here on behalf of the Universe to announce that the destruction of California is OFF of the table!

I am not sure who Tony is (hehe), but that sounds nice (I also answer to Trevor, Travis and Todd). Indeed, I have a friend who calls me Trevor just because she said I look more like a Trevor. :)
2 days/week for Hospice, the other 4 is for people living with HIV. I lost my first patient at hospice, last week. It is proving to be quite a challenge. I want more hand holding, but they seem to think I know what I am doing, so they just keep throwing me out there. Some days I just do not have a clue, and all I can do is try to remain centered and present, and hold a sacred space for them.
I am glad you are back home.
I do not worry about California falling into the ocean. It has been predicted since before I was born, and I have 45+ years of history here. That is pretty good mileage. I saw Yosemite and the Redwoods. The rest is frosting.
Cheers! to all.

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Sorry about the slip up in your name Troy. This is common for me for years were even my adult children complain I never got their names right.
I don't worry about California now because of Japan... maybe down the road, but not now.
Now the place you really need to take a vacation to in Summer or early fall is Yellowstone. Yellowstone is the cake and frosting combined.
As for the Hospice work - that can be really draining. I hope you are getting massages or hanging out in a spa just to unwind. I'm beginning to think many of us provide an energetic bridge for the person leaving until those last few days before they pass. I really was burned out after being in the hospital for that 3rd week. I really didn't know how much longer I could hold out with no relief. My mom was afraid if I wasn't in the room with her and wanted me there 24/7 in order to feel safe.

It's really okay. I love a chance to be silly, even when I am at work. And people really do call me all of those other names, all of the time. In this 3-D, holographic universe, there are far worse names for people to use. I'll probably provide plenty of examples.
I agree about the energy work/energy process. I reviewed that very thing during my clinical supervision time a couple of nights ago.
As for my mom, I was able to give her permission to die. I had every conversation needed, and no regrets. I still miss her some times like it was just yesterday.
Vacation? What is that? I am living like a monk, again.
Not for long, however. I am not getting a massage (yet), but am currently running on adrenaline. In short: Gregg's divorce is final. He has finished the work on the home for his ex-wife, like he promised. It turns out the divorce was legal as of June 15th. I still have to wear the scarlet letter, because he was up here the week before that (I said I would provide further examples for name-calling). :op
Anyhow, it is time to move to the next phase. I need to come up with a name for the sting operation we are planning: Instead of his ex getting him somewhere to get back home, I am just going to drive to Oregon and get him the hockey sticks out of there.
Someone wants to rent to us already, and I did not have to do anything. It also may turn into some part time work for him while he gets his footing, here.
I have just been biding my time. I had no idea it would be for 25 years, but how cool to partner up with someone in this life than a life-long friend. :)

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Llife long friends make the best partners. My husband is my best friend. Hoo! Ha!
It makes my heart happy to know you two are going to be together for this next phase of your lives.
It was difficult talking to my mom at the end as she still was ready to get up and go on an RV trip to visit family. It really wasn't until the last few days she realized she wasn't going to get better and gave up. The paid meds took over then. I would have like to have had more conversations with her but did my best to slip some important information in. I coached her on what to expect when she first discovered she was out of her body and what she could do. Being that I wasn't in any position to talk when she popped out at least she knew what to expect and was probably watching us with her friends (her doctor and nurse) there to chat with her about getting some answers to her questions now.
It's still difficult as in the end, as a result of caring for her I was emotionally the closest.
I'm glad you had your time with your mum Troy as that does help when the time is past. Knowing you did everything you could is comforting.

Thanks for the bling, Carol! It needed something after I started taking stuff down (thanks again to trickster projections, I was sure I was solely responsible for the site coming into question). :op

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
You are more then welcome. I always enjoyed the headers and pictures you posted so when I didn't see anything it seemed the iris real time quake map the most appropriate bling.
I'll take iris off the earth changes site as it now has a new "happy" home here on your front page.

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Uploaded by dutchsinse on Aug 18, 2011
Cross posted from my blog.. download the video directly there, and see the links etc.. :
http://www.dutchsinse.com/blog/?p=1306
First a fresh lava field erupts off the coast of Oregon, then mystery plumes erupt from lava fields all the way up the west coast from Pisgah area north to the washington state line... a 6.0 magnitude quake hits Baja California, then a hill side in Santa Barbara (just north of Los Angeles) begins to smoke and steam...
now.. due south in San Diego, we hear about the ENTIRE county/city having hundreds of people calling 911 to report the smell of "burning petroleum" .
Since the hill side to the north of Los Angeles was reported to be "burning tar" from deep underground.. this leads me to believe we are seeing a very large seismic event take place on the west coast (when you factor in the above events of the past couple months).

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Has anyone else come across this information? New to me!
THREE DAYS OF DARKNESS
Update from Kirael
Kirael ‘The Great Shift” by Fred Sterling
"...So that will be one of your very first indications: the appearance of massive turmoil followed by Mother Earth really rumbling.
You will have had a number of earthquakes prior to this. Earthquakes will have become almost commonplace by this time. I am not talking about your big 8′s or 9′s on the Richter scale, but 5′s, 6′s and below, because that’s where Mother Earth will show that She is just getting ready. However, when She gets into Her final Shift position-where the energy of the Dimension is going from the Third Dimension to the Fourth Dimension and the Photon Energy has already begun to engulf the Earth, She will set the stage for Her last spins through the Third Dimension. Therefore, for about 12 to 16 hours on that first day, you will literally have a difficult time staying upright. Don’t panic! Do you know how many times you need to be reminded of this? Please don’t panic! If you do not panic in these first few hours, things will begin to settle themselves because the rocking and rolling will begin to taper off.
Next some of the other features will begin to manifest are the decrease in temperature and sunlight. It will actually begin to look " for more on this:

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
The location of this quake in Colorado is really odd.
They had another quake registering 5.3 at a depth of 4km

http://quakes.globalincidentmap.com/
August 23, 2011 – COLORADO – Southern Colorado was rattled by a magnitude 4.6 earthquake Monday evening near Trinidad. That quake was overshadowed by a much stronger 5.3 magnitude earthquake which struck near the same region. A string of aftershocks followed. The same area had been struck by a gentler temblor earlier in the morning. According to the US Geological Survey, the 4.6 quake occurred at 5:30pm and was centered 16 miles west southwest of Trinidad or 20 miles west northwest of Raton, New Mexico. The quake occurred at a relatively shallow depth of 5.0 miles. Initial reports show the quake was felt in Trinidad and as far north as La Veta and Aguilar. To the south in New Mexico, Raton felt the shaking as well as Springer and Questa. This morning, a magnitude 2.9 quake struck the same area at 7:52am. This also follows a magnitude 2.8 temblor in March. Other quakes up to magnitude 4.1 have been recorded in January 2010 as well as a series of quakes in the area in August 2009. The earthquake’s epicenter was 299 km (185 miles) S of DENVER, Colorado. –The Examiner – Seismicity activity in the Sangre de Cristos Mountains: The Sangre de Cristos are fault block mountains with major fault lines running along both the east and west sides of the mountains. In places, there are also fault lines cutting right through the mountain chain. The mountains were pushed up about 27 million years ago, pretty much as one big chunk of rock. On the west side is the San Luis Valley with the Rio Grande Rift Zone running down the middle. On the southeast side is the Raton Basin with a quiet but still active volcano field. On the northeast side are the Wet Mountains and the Front Range, areas of pre-Cambrian rock raised up during the Colorado Orogeny some 1.7 billion years ago. The Blanca Massif is also pre-Cambrian rock while the main body of the Sangres themselves is composed of Permian-Pennsylvanian rock and a mix of igneous intrusions, conglomerates and shale that is only about 250 million years old. -Sangres
Activity along the many faults running in and through the Sangre de Cristos mountains could be one likely cause of the mysterious Taos Hum. This latest episode of quake activity near Trinidad may have been building for some time. See map -The Extinction Protocol
Colorado experiences largest quake in more than 40 years:
A moderate 5.3-magnitude earthquake that rattled southern Colorado early Tuesday morning was the largest to hit the state in more than 40 years, the U.S. Geological Survey said. The quake’s epicenter was seven miles southwest of Cokedale, and 180 miles south of Denver. There were no immediate reports of casualties. A dispatcher at the sheriff’s office in Las Animas County, which includes Cokedale, said the quake lasted almost 30 seconds. The office received reports of rocks falling on a highway and of some structure damage. It was the largest in a series of earthquakes that struck the area. As of 5 a.m. local time (7 a.m. ET), the USGS reported seven quakes centered just south of Cokedale since midnight. Amy Vaughan of the USGS said the 5.3 magnitude ties that of an earthquake Colorado suffered on August 9, 1967. In 1973, the USGS originally reported a quake with a magnitude of 5.7, but it turned out that was caused by an explosion, Vaughan said. -CNN

6.0 magnitude earthquake strikes SW of Sumatra, Indonesia
August 22, 2011 – Indonesia – A powerful 6.0 magnitude earthquake has struck off the coast of SW Sumatra at a depth of 31.3 km. The earthquake’s epicenter was 176 km (109 miles) SW of T.-Telukbetung, Sumatra, Indonesia and 315 km (195 miles) W of Jakarta, Java, Indonesia. There has been a noticeable increase in both volcanic and earthquake activity in Indonesia over the last several weeks. Two weeks ago, the country’s geologists put as many as 18 volcanoes in the archipelago on alert status because of increased activity. No tsunami warnings or damage have been reported with the latest offshore earthquake. This is the sixth 6.0+ magnitude earthquake to strike the world (Ring of Fire) in 5 days. –The Extinction Protocol

Re: The Earthquake/Seismic Activity Log
Targeting Coronal Hole in the southern hemisphere which could produce a significant earthquake around 7.7 in magnitude. Time frame August 23-24.
First region is plotted to 33-35° South Latitude
Possible regions that could be at risk for a significant earthquake are:
Bio-Bio/Valpariso Chile, Kermadec Islands, Off The East Coast Of New Zealand or Christchurch New Zealand
Northern Hemisphere watch is associated with a coronal hole(CH472) 9-12° Latitude and the areas at risk for a significant earthquake are:
Guam Region, Mariana Islands, Costa Rica or El Salvador.
Time frame Aug 26-27 with a magnitude of 6.5.
OLR anomaly indicates areas that could receive a significant earthquake are China, Papua New Guinea, Hokkaido Japan, Uganda

Quake rocks Washington area, felt on East Coast
Aug 23, 2011
WASHINGTON (AP) -- A 5.9 magnitude earthquake centered northwest of Richmond, Va., shook much of Washington, D.C., and was felt as far north as Rhode Island and New York City.
The quake sent hundreds of people spilling into the street a block from the White House, with other buildings evacuated in North Carolina and tremors felt as far away as New York City.
The U.S. Geological Survey said the earthquake was 3.7 miles deep. Shaking was felt at the White House and all over the East Coast, as far south as Chapel Hill, N.C. Parts of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol were evacuated. The quake was in Mineral, Va., in Louisa County.

Rare Strong Earthquake Hits Colorado
August 23, 2011
DENVER — The largest natural earthquake in Colorado in more than a century struck Monday night in the state’s southeast corner, but there had been no reports of damage or injuries.
The quake, with a preliminary magnitude of 5.3 and centered about nine miles from the city of Trinidad, hit at 11:46 p.m. local time. It was felt as far away as Greeley, about 350 miles north, and into Kansas and New Mexico, said Julie Dutton, a geophysicist at the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo.
Colorado, with its mix of mountains and plains, sits astride a seismically stable part of the nation where earthquakes are mostly mild and far between. But the area around Trinidad is regularly hit by tiny quakes as a result of a local fault zone, Ms. Dutton said.
