May i share a way to stimulate the Thyroid.

You can do it naturally by placing your dominant hand in under the opposite arm pit. You want the palm to face in to the lymph node.

i listen to something relaxing on very low volume.

I then go into my self energetically and just allow it to flow. If i need to boost the energy i smile into the affected area.

You will notice after about 40 mins you will start to either cough gently or feel a sort of mucus in the back of the throat. That mucus is a very powerful concoction of natural hormones, you should swallow this mucus.

You will feel better than ever if you do this every alternate day.

if you need more info just let me know.

I experimented with this years ago and one day was a guest at a reiki work shop and taught this method to the class. I had a lot of positive feedback from the students and other reiki instructors present.

What i relaised later is you dont need to have done reiki for this to work. Your own intention is enough.

    Saw this post at GLP:

How to prepare your home for a quarantine - Armed Prepper Edition.

Note* This is what I did. You'll need to adapt to where you live.

Another note, my 3 immediate neighbors are like-minded. I realize this is a HUGE advantage. I also live about 3 miles from the nearest decent sized town, my house is at the end of a long driveway with a few other houses, again, a great advantage. I don't believe any of this is by accident. I've experienced some really strange things over the last 6 months, things that have come together to make this situation bearable, I hope.

What I have done to pandemicize my residence:

Invested in a gravity water filter and we also have a pool. If you do not, or cannot get a filter, you can make bleach to disinfect water from pool shock:

Make Bleach from shock - 15 cups water (or 1 gallon minus 1 cup). 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons plus 2 teaspoons 68% Pool Shock. Mix until dissolved. Wait 2-3 hours for the inert ingredients to settle out and use.

Have accumulated about 6 months worth of food

after that, we have chickens, and rabbits

Planted fruit trees, berry bushes, and stored a crapload of veggie seeds.

Firearms - Covered - I'll leave it at that - plenty of ammo for each caliber.

Scouted areas of the property that offer cover and concealment

Got some huge speakers and an amp that hooks to my phone's bluetooth. Music makes everything better, even a quarantine.

I have CB, Shortwave and HAM communication options.

Batteries of every type and a big solar panel and inverter just to charge them. I recommend Eneloop. They come charged, they recharge thousands of times.

Picked this up, in case we have any medical issues. My library has all kinds of stuff in it, but this was the latest purchase

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0988872552/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Got everything we normally use for 3 months around the house, laundry soap, hygiene items, meds. The idea here is DO NOT Go where there are people! If this XXXX is as contagious as they say, this will be the only way to keep from getting it.

    You'll thank yourself later:

Oh, and don't forget coffee. You'll also thank yourself later

Good luck everyone. I'd love to hear about your preps. What are you doing to prepare?

How to prepare the ultimate painkilling tincture

Similar to Morphine: The Best Natural Painkiller that Grows in Your Backyard

Learn more about this incredible plant (and how to find, identify, and extract its painkilling properties) and add this knowledge to your survival arsenal now.

There is a Wild Lettuce out there that is also known as Opium Lettuce...

    For a good reason.

While it doesn't contain any opiates, it has similar side effects when used - it acts directly on the central nervous system (CNS) to lessen the feeling of pain, just like morphine (don't worry, it doesn't have the addictive qualities).

I downloaded this before watching it. After a few minutes I was thinking it was a classic example /proof of my notion that you tube only serves to dumb us down...

But on further watching, this is so bad, in a good way, its hilarious. If this was a parody comedy sketch it would have everyone on the floor.. i laughed .. brilliant.. seriously, you couldnt parody this guy any better than this.

I loved how he manhandled his ridiculous sized knife in his gun holster.. and the comedy.. so deadpan..truly brilliant..

(lets skip over the fact that the guy was for real and go with the comedic version).. his filter works. You could reduce the 20 minute video to 2-3 minutes, (but miss all the fun)..

To filter any water... into a 2 litre bottle, inverted, with bottom cut off, place a large stone to block the bottle nozzle, then add equal parts, first (bottom layer) charcoal, then sand, then grass, then pebbles/ stones (top layer). It will need to 'bed' in, so need to pass several litres of water through the filter before the it works optimally. The water isnt purified so boil, or treat the filtration.

Did you know.. sphagnum moss could be used to replace all of those layers. Same process, just fill the bottle completely with sphagnum moss. Works a treat, if its available.  (they used sphagnum in the war as a wound dressing).

You would have to modify this system for use as a grey water filter. For greywater, there is no need for the charcoal.. so sand is the bottom later, then grass, then pebbles.. and then for a household system another layer of straw is needed to act as a grease trap. This top grass layer will need to be changed regularly.. can be composted..If you dont use this sacrificial level then the grease /fats will clog the pebbles and the water wont be able to pass.. the filter will flood.

ok, time to watch that video again.. it's so good  Lmao

So glad you had a ball watching this guy's video Vidhya  cheers
By the times that are currently running this is a lovely interlude.
I didn't laugh first time I saw it but I certainly did on watching it again after reading you!
What is so funny is imagining you discovering this guy and his gear Crazy Happy

Well to me it was useful as something new I learned. Thanks for making the process even simpler
    With your own expert's tips.
I hope I will never find myself in the situation to have to do this trick though. How could I possibly handle such a big knife without hurting myself in the process or worse someone else. A nightmare  lol!

True he could have summarized things in a few minutes as many of these technical videos
Which I too  find too long most of the time.
But i think to be monetized they need to cover a minimal lengh. My guess.

You cant go wrong with an opinel pocket knife. They take and keep a good edge. They have banned them in the UK now as they are 'lock' knives. How ridiculous! I still have a couple. There is a stainless steel version (inox) which doesnt rust, but is harder to sharpen.
    Any tips for preps ? - Page 3 Ndeg0810

and for water filtration, that mini sawyer is all you need. If the water is really muddy (really?) then a basic pre-filter (with anything) will prevent the sawyer from clogging (though the filter can be back washed if it does clog).

The filter that ranger rick above used is actually better suited for a fixed system. rainwater collection etc. Not practical in the woods or on your travels.

I have a new toy Wink I am trying to move away from using power tools.. and especially small chainsaws. By the time you have found fuel, sharpened them etc you might as well do it by hand.. (though my old bones wont thank me for the hard work)..

I am sure you have heard of the silky pruning saw.. (an essential bit of kit in your back pack..! one of these and an opinel knife will be most of what you need, add a small hatchet to cover all options.)

well, they made a monster version. Its like a samurai sword. Incredibly sharp.. wonderful piece of kit..the 'Sugowaza'
This is what the tree surgeons are using these days instead of carrying a small chainsaw.

The silky Sugowaza has one of the finest blades I've seen. It falls into the scary sharp category. Normally this type of blade is disposable as the tech used to make them means they can't be sharpened..(but they do last a long while) .. but the silky can be sharpened! I read that they go for a few years without needing to be sharpened (!) and there are spare blades available anyway...

I have carried a fire stick in my pouch forever.. and used it.. never lol.. I have a secret fire weapon, fire magic from the elders.. costs $1 and lasts ages. so carry a spare..

    fires stick of the ancients:
    Any tips for preps ? - Page 3 Bic10
when I was in Peru the shaman's son was tasked to light the fire. He gathered brances that were over an inch thick, and no kindling. I knew he wouldnt be able to start a fire with them! Then he took a disposable plastic carrier bag from his pocket and used it as a perfect fire starter..  lol! apart from the environmental implications (admittedly small) its a great idea if you are in a fix..

the petzl zipka is my headtorch of choice, so versatile, and the second generation one  has a very powerful main light (3 settings).. the red light works in the dark really well.. and they can be worn on the head, hand, bike, backpack.. i have 2, one i keep in my cycle pannier and one i keep in the van..
