I'm somewhat appalled to read about this as I had no idea the suicide rate was so high. And again - how many accidents are also alcohol and drug related. The is a recent interview on C2C about Psych Drugs and Mental State that ties into this. This report doesn't say a lot about our society and the damage it has on the mental health of its citizens. I've often thought for people to feel their worth or value they need to be engaged in something they feel is worth while. Yet with this society where so many are out of work and the damage of the youth via vaccines that damage thousands if not millions of children with autism it is no wonder that society is failing on a very fundamental level. The school system is a failure too. How many children when they graduate are really prepared for the job market? What can most graduates do other then menial labor. And where are children taught the basic survival skills when it comes to producing their own food or how to build shelter. This stuff should be taught in elementary school on up.

When you are so much in debt, short term relief will take precedence. The drugs suppress the electrical activity therefor changing the emotional patterns giving the mind a break to dream more.

The problem does not go away but is repressed deeper in the psyche. When an explosion happens in the mind it triggers the pressurized compartment and the body explodes.

Suicide and repression is in epidemic proportions, to the point of being an apparent natural phenomena to our species.

Needless to say this is the down-side and down slide of this particular civilization. Those folks with machetes and who live close to the earth are more in touch with the realities of life then our current US zombiefied culture.
