Me-Bai's rescuers weren't the only ones to be moved by the family reunited.
Afterward, Mae Yui's owners agreed to release her from captivity too, meaning she and
her calf would be rehabilitated together. The sanctuary hopes one day they will be returned
back into the wild.

A lovely elephant calf, so adorable. Yesterday I was at a village celebration nearby and for the first time in 8,5 months I was
amidst of children's voices, children running around, children's delight of ice-cream, tantrum-screams and funny playful kids-
mischiefs and heartfelt close encounters. Face painting and sponge throwing at the vicar's face, cuddling with the little goat-
kids of the farm nearby, all this was a comfort to my soul. I so needed a dose of livelihood like this! To be among all ages is
what I begin to find as essential for me, to make the moves I need to make and do the things I need to do, while choosing
a place to live in the UK.
