There are times in our relationship when we have separate vacations. Especially, when my husband wants to visit his mums or I want to attend a workshop or conference. I spent a week with Joan Ocean a few years back which was challenging due to her intense schedule. So yes, breaks are healthy.

As for work and a relationship... isn't that normal for most folks? There is a rhythm to this type of lifestyle. I think my primary concern for you Troy is your health and getting yourself back into balance where you are free of mental, emotional and physical pain.. meaning getting the stress busters behind you. Also, while you are getting yourself healthy.. maybe you might want to rethink a new career path or if you enjoy what you do find a location that works for both of you. My husband and I were talking earlier today about how stress really creates all type of illnesses.

Sorry, but keep in mind February is the month during which I visited the monks in the snow.

That makes it my one-monk anniversary.

I just woke from a dream where the galactic wave passed through my body which shook violently and then nothing other then just pure conscious awareness. I wondered if the galactic wave would be like some type of electric charge that stops the heart. So I tell my husband who is awake beside me (full moon) and he replies - that's okay. Meaning if we pass over then we pass over and there really is nothing to worry about other then to live each day as if it is the last day.

I just came back from a beautiful walk down by the Bay with my Doggie and saw the most beautiful Moon with a perfect vast circle around it, which looked like atmospheric cloud. I've seen perfect circles around the Moon before but not as big and vast. If you get a chance go outside and take a "peek" you just might see it.

I just spoke with the wonderful nurse I used to work with (she retired before they let me go, and I missed her, terribly).

She said the damage is NOT permanent.

She gave me the name of a doctor to speak with. I will call tomorrow to make an appointment.

Potentially bad news: my shoulder may need to be popped back in place (i.e something is causing continual pressure and blocking the nerve and it needs to be moved back where it belongs).

I'll tell him about my lower back, too.

    Hugs!

    HigherLove,

I'm sorry to hear about your Nurse who you miss terribly. You will see her again someday, I just know you will, in HigherLove. My 7 year old Son came up to me today and told me his neck hurt. I asked him to rest his chin on my left hand whilst I energized his neck with my right. I set my intentions and allowed the energies to flow through me into him. I always knew I had a healing gift although I hadn't actually tried using it on my own Son. Within less than one minute he raised his head out of my hand and moved it left to right and he couldn't believe the pain had gone. The smile we both gave each other in that very moment was eternally imprinted as our eyes locked in "ancient memory".

I will be sleeping in the hammock again tonight (under the Starry Skies).. It's becoming a habit of mine now. I awake just before the Dawn to hear the birds chirping me.. It's ever so beautiful and revitalizing resting in a hammock held up by two strong beautiful Royal Palm Trees lulling me to sleep like a Baby in a cradle.

I intend for your well being and good Health.

    Debra

Hi Troy, I was referring to the leg and feet where my nerve damage is permanent from lower lumbar compression which created sciatica and am aware that it regrows in the hands and arms. What a blessing that you found your friend who is steering you to a doc who can help. The main thing is to keep the inflammation under control, stop doing what is creating the problem and get treatment.

I awoke today to a beautiful full moon in a clear twinkling sky. I had to go inside due to my MC (first one of the year on a full moon) of course. I had been Sweets Dreaming all night too in Dragon Land - and how was your night?

Juliette (nickname Musky) just came up to me for some Loving and purring to her Hearts content.

Gregg is here, applications are ready, a check (i.e. doctor payment) was in the mail this morning, so this is the agenda.

I understood what you were referring to. My emphasis on the word "not" was to rebut my own post somewhere that said the arm damage could be permanent.

I have been in PT for my back, before (it is fine right now, btw). Okay. Embarrassing but here is the deal: two separate lower back injuries, but the jolts of pain shooting down my legs only happened if I coughed while I was urinating. lol

    Anyhow...I get it.

    Owlsden:

I saw my nurse friend, yesterday. She just lives about 40 minutes away. It was working without her that I could not stand.

She was an older hippy chick who was one of the first in the early days to provide gay men with skin to skin contact when they were dying.

We would put in a hard day at work on the coast, and when we were all done, we would go to the beach and get high. People like that do not come along, often.

It was a great visit. She gave my sister a plant (most people get a plant if they pay her a visit -- LEGAL plants...this one was a spider plant).

    Okay...

I made an appointment to deal with all of this. They cannot see me until the 16th, but they are going to scan and adjust and evaluate me from from head to feet. The woman just said, "Oh, you poor thing". lol

The price is reasonable. She said they may add a few more dollars for the adjustments, because I am "such a mess".

Not to far off. One nice thing about the physical body is that for the most part it is designed to heal itself. Now a crashed car is another thing all together different.

    Oh boy.

The doctor just looked at me and said that he could do some adjustments, but it probably would not help. My next task is to finish disability application and contact a neurologist, who may be able to help me. The doctor today said the damage could be permanent, and wished me the best with paying for what it may take, even if it does not get me anywhere.

I could see he felt terrible, but was trying to be positive for me.

In regard to the lower back stuff and other pain, he said that I have far more serious concerns (my arm) than that.

Somehow my upper rib bones are pressing against the nerves in my shoulder.

I will see some of them for free, and there is not a doggone thing my former employer can do about it. I can be real and supportive and not stressed out about a deadline on some stupid report about how they feel about living with HIV today, or how many cigarettes they have been smoking (I could take this to the State level, because I could carefully inform clients as to what goes on behind the scenes, and many will not be happy to see how dollars are being wasted).

I am going to open myself as a conduit for them to empower themselves and improve that agency THEMSELVES.

    HOT DAMN!!!!!!!!!!

The adjustment did help. I just reached up and touched my face for the first time in a month. That was followed by two pops in same shoulder.

    Crazy Happy

I got in about four, then stopped. That was it. My hand started twisting weird directions, again.

Also have to get a heating pad on it and massage from sternum to shoulder, over the bones. It really hurts, but he said I need to stretch that out. Going to lay down.

I won't push it, but I was just able to reach for the mouse, rather than slide to it.

I can touch my nose with the back of my right hand, but not the front. Something to do with loss of signal to tricep muscle.

Almost got a beverage to my mouth...

    lol

    baby steps

    albino

Still going to see a neurologist.

The doc I saw this morning was placing emphasis on not letting things get worse, more so than seeing if anything could get better.

Okay, first the physical condition. You might be able to wear some type of back brace that can reposition the rib cage and give you some relief. And there are a number of gentle yoga exercises that can bring the body back into a state of balance. I still think the pro ab circle would help the shoulders, ribcage and spine. Go slow - be gentle.

I'm not going to go into my medical history here as it is just to weird and boring to pretty much anyone who isn't the treating physician. But I did spend a lot of time with an excellent neurologist and learned a few things along the line. Number one, get a handle on the inflammation. Did this doc give you a prescription for an anti-inflammatory? If not, call him and ask for clinoril.

Thanks, but I am still working on touching my nose. lol

I can't do it right now. Those four I did earlier were all I could get. Something is still very wrong. I know it.

I opted for the cheaper route, and now it is going to cost. I am going through the facility I used when I had insurance and goddess bless Gregg's credit, we will pay for as much as we can get done (cannot go to local clinic because of too many ties to my old job).

For somewhere between $57.00-$370.00 I will see a doctor on Friday, who most likely will not be able to snap me in place on the spot. Hopefully, I will get a referral to a neurologist.

I like to think positive everybody, but I am reasonable, too: this is the type of injury with a slow recovery rate.

I agree that I will need to adjust how I utilize technology so as not to keep injuring myself, but I am hoping that with disability I could possible get into a vocational rehab. program, and get assistance with whatever I might need for whatever I will need to do to keep the lights on.

To Summarize: Overall life is pretty good, I am hopeful, but understand my life may have changed in a big way. It's like I had a stroke in my shoulder. It's just gone. GONE. Touching my nose is probably due to my back being loosened.

Sorry to sound grumpy (if I do). I cannot tell you what havoc this wreaks on the mood swings, and I have those on my best days.

    Thoracic outlet syndrome

How has everyone been doing lately ? - Page 11 230px-10

Thoracic outlet syndrome (TOS) is a syndrome involving compression at the superior thoracic outlet[1] involving compression of a neurovascular bundle passing between the anterior scalene and middle scalene.[2] It can affect the brachial plexus (nerves that pass into the arms from the neck), and/or the subclavian artery or rarely the vein which does not normally pass through the scalene hiatus (blood vessels as they pass between the chest and upper extremity). Rarely a Pancoast tumour in the apex of the lung may be the cause.

The compression may be positional (caused by movement of the clavicle (collarbone) and shoulder girdle on arm movement) or static (caused by abnormalities or enlargement or spasm of the various muscles surrounding the arteries, veins, and brachial plexus), a first rib fixation and a cervical rib...

    ...

    Symptoms and consequences

TOS affects mainly the upper limbs, especially the arms and hands. Pain in the arms and hands is almost always present. Pain can be sharp, burning, or aching. Pain can involve only part of the hand, as in the 4th and 5th finger only, or all of the hand. It can involve the inner aspect of the forearm and upper arm. Pain can also be in the side of the neck, the pectoral area below the clavicle, the axillary area, and the upper back, as in the trapezius and rhomboid area. Decoloration of the hands is also a possible symptom, and one hand colder than the other hand is also common. Weakness of the hand and arm muscles is also common. Tingling can also be present.

TOS is often the underlying cause of stubborn upper limb conditions like frozen shoulder and carpal tunnel syndrome that defy standard treatment protocols.

Cerebrovascular arterial insufficiency when they affect the subclavian artery.[7] It also can affect the vertebral artery, case in which it could produce transient blindness,[8] and embolic cerebral infarction.[9]

A painful, swollen and blue arm, usually occurring after strenuous physical activity, could be a sign of a venous compression or subclavian vein thrombosis, called Paget-Schroetter Syndrome...

    By event

There are many causes of TOS. The most frequent cause is trauma, either sudden, as in a clavicle fracture caused by a car accident, or repetitive trauma, as in a legal secretary who works with his hands, wrists, and arms at a fast paced desk station with non-ergonomic posture for many years. TOS is also found in certain occupations involving lots of lifting of the arms and repetitive use of the wrists and arms.

If it is TOS, the prognosis is good! I already did some of the exercises, before and know what to do.

Thanks to all here and at home, personal and private -- for all the well wishes, good advice, and ideas for helping me get healthier.

'Twas laying on my right side last night when I thought, "Wait a minute...if my ribs are pressing into my shoulder, then that means I am now shoving my shoulder into my ribs". So it was back on my back. I forgot the pillow. Bad idea. I don't like it, but for now it is on my back with a pillow under my knees.

I move between keyboard and mouse by sliding my thumb across the desk. Once my wrist is resting on the desk, I have full use/control (so I am not OCD typing with one finger or something, okay? hehe). Just OCD and typing with 10.

    WAS IT ALL FOR NOT?

So I got up at 4:00 this morning for a brb. My eyes were half closed, and the door had swung half-way open. As I was exiting, I hit the door full-force with my right shoulder, and bounced back half way through the room.

I like the way Miss Piggy said this (great muppet caper): What am I? A glutton for punishment?

    Insanely Happy

How has everyone been doing lately ? - Page 11 Empty Re: How has everyone been doing lately ?

Post  Carol Sat Jan 21, 2012 1:02 am

Well it's been quite a week. Last weekend I was walking up the stairs with a tray with cup and pot of tea which tipped over all down the front of my nightgown giving me first and second degree burns all down my front including my entire front thigh. Burns are extremely painful - especially from scalding water. In the meantime I went on a mission of mercy to my poor aching body (I have fibromyalgia) and decided it was time to get a spa. This meant that the entire deck that goes around two sides of the house had to be scrubbed with TSP, sanded - dried and then rolled with Thompson wood preservative. Of course everything had to be moved off the decks before this project could even begin. We hired this amazing woman to help me as with my husband working two jobs he just doesn't have the time to do much at home. However, he became inspired with the thought of a hot tub outside the sliding glass door and went to get the lumber to re-enforce the deck, put in new posts and cement paddings. Between the three of us we rolled through this mega project in 6 days and had the spa installed last night. After waiting for the water to heat up to 98 degrees (3:30am) we went out and enjoyed just laying back and watching the shooting stars in the starry sky. It really was beautiful and worth the effort.

Meanwhile, with all the work outside - the inside needed a major overhaul which meant washing windows, reorganizing furniture and just a good general cleaning. We are also refurbishing the outdoor furniture which means more scrubbing, sanding and painting. I was also using a brass wire brush on the french double front doors getting off all the old preservative and prepping it for sanding and then will put some teak oil on it. What a tedious job... all that wire bruising. And there is still more to do.

I've also been having some strange dreams that involve people from 20 years ago. So odd. And then there was this major breakthrough where I was in the heart of this dream which involved a major release of life long karma from a bully. It certainly was liberating. However, everyday I'm experience a lot of pain from normal activity and I'm the sort of person who doesn't take anything for it. I'm grateful for all the years of yoga where we learned to observe pain and not get caught up in it. Hence the spa for recovery, release and relaxation. The week has just about done me in but the feeling of getting a number of projects completed is good. It's just that the list of other projects is never-ending. Always more pulling of fire weed out in the horse pastures, maintenance of the bee hive, the garden, fruit trees, vehicles, house... and finally back to writing my science fiction book which was do for an edit rewrite.

The multiple issues that arose from my mother's death have also been taking its toll and my younger brother had to go in for a heart medical procedure last week and would have had only had a few more months of life to live without the procedure. Unfortunately all families have a black sheep and our black sheep is just a nasty bully. So there has also been conversations with attorneys on how to deal with him. I decided the spa was my most sane option - hence the back-breaking work to get everything completed sooner then later.

Of course when I check in at Mists I saw the kerfluffles today and just felt sad. It would be nice if these things didn't happen but they do and it affects many of us who get pulled into the negative energy even if we are on the outer rim of what is going on. Who walks away from that feeling good?

So, I treated our daughter with the new Italia DVD after she finished her homework for the weekend and am thinking of a nice cold glass of Mascado and thinking I'm too tired to go get it.

One of our hens hatched 3 new baby chicks (2 black and one fluffy pale yellow). The ducks still go after the rooster and hens. The mini horses are doing well and we did move goat out of the one pasture to get to the fire weed and mow. I've still got to empty out the bee oil trays that trap the beetles and do some major maintenance there.

We also been juicing every day with carrots, beets, apples, green pepper, lemon, spinach... etc. And going off of meat has been a recent change. I guess my big concern is the data coming from Tom Brown. I've still got 4 classes to catch up on and am concerned about the increase of solar CMEs. The protons are way high and this sort of thing tends to knock a number of us on our backs. Meaning wipe-out time energetically.

My husband just informed me that the rider lawn mower is fixed and there are at least 4 acres to mow tomorrow. Last time I was on it the tire blew out. It's took 2 weeks to have a new tire shipped from the mainland. So in between time we went and purchase a hand mower to get to the worst of it before the fire weed took over completely. After pulling weeds last Saturday in the tropical sun the backs of my legs still ache and then I scalded myself on Sunday. Blech. I was hoping the burns would heal quickly so I could go in the spa and not be in agony. We have aloe vera growing in the yard and hubby went out to get some and prepare it to use with the initial burns. The blisters are the worst just because of infection potential. It's really nice being married to an RN.

At least I have a lovely new friend to help and work alongside me as I go from one project to the next as it's really nice to have someone where we work well together.

So I'm pooped. Everything aches. Bed or spa... bed or spa... bed or a glass of wine in the spa? Ahh, so may decisions.

New projects... start the mushrooms, transplant, plant some tress, garden, clean the garage, paint the house trim... build a chicken coop, etc. So if you don't notice me not around - just know there lots to do and not a whole lot of time to get it all done.

Somehow that small glass of wine and spa beacons. I just have to get the body to cooperate.

So is it true that if you want to get something done quickly, ask someone really busy to do it?

    :op

Before "losing" my job and giving up the second one, I felt like this:

    <a href="https://s835.photobucket.com/albums/zz272/DSummerMan65/?action=view&current=man_hampster.gif" target="_blank"><img src="https://2img.net/h/i835.photobucket.com/albums/zz272/DSummerMan65/man_hampster.gif" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I wish I had my father's nervous system and not my mother's.

Anyhow, you sound busy, busy, busy.

And yes. Brook leaving just made me sad.

I think she was considering leaving a while back when things got strange with Horus, and she ended up staying.

Brook is about as stupid as a fox, so I am not ready to chalk it all up to bitterness. The woman seems to tend to know what she is doing.

Wherever she goes and whatever she does, may she be held safe.

I will be seeing the doc for my arm this Tuesday. By "chance" we happened to have a lovely insurance agent, yesterday. She was Persian, and I thoroughly enjoyed her stories. One of them was about having 6 surgeries for nerve damage to her arm from ergonomic issues. gulp

When she shook my hand, I could feel her energy. I thought if I just asked, she might have healed me, right there.

Not sure why, Carol, but I thought of you when I saw this:

Ahh Troy and mudra... thank you for your kind thoughts. I may have had 3rd degree burns on my chest as I felt no pain there and that's where the big blister is. It's healing quickly for a burn. The aloe helps.

I agree with you. The word bitter was inappropriate because what she said was that she was deeply disappointed.

I'm very concerned about the upcoming solar katrina. Not an if folks but a reality that will likely happen within the next 14 months. I've been watching the solar activity on a daily basis and it's increasing with more major CMEs - another one this weekend. We really need to be prepared for when the electrical grid goes down so I'm working on getting everything in order to be off-grid. I would love to build an outdoor oven too but can make a solar oven just with a car or truck tire and glass.

I was talking to my friend who is not on the east coast taking the Tom Brown class and she was talking about their bug out plans or what they would do if one of them got one of the incurable contagious disease Tom Brown identified. She told me if one of them got sick they would go outside, dig a grave, lay down in it and kill the sick one.

Of course I was a bit appalled but this is a reality that needs to be considered should these illnesses become airborne. Of course being big on preplanning I would want the grave dug first before getting sick.

Anyway, we then began talking of different ways to end life and she said Lilly of the Valley was a good poison. I was joking about doing some good hallucinogenic before hand, have a glass of wine with a lethal dose of morphine in it and just go out in style.

The reason Tom Brown stresses for his people to literally head for the hills and deep into the forests is to get away from people who are contaminated with disease. I'm thinking if this stuff becomes airborne it would be better to have good face masks and rubber gloves. Being an X Public Health Educator, it just seems more important to know what to do to protect oneself and what to do if family members get sick. Basically, Tom Brown is saying these illnesses are lethal. And he is saying this will occur before the solar katrina. So is he to be believed?

I ran across this other little tidbit on another site and thought I would share it because it seems so relevant now. This fellow was sharing how he cured himself and a number of others.

    Here's his story.

"I don't feel good keeping my secret. I thought it would just naturally surface. Besides beating shingles and lots of other illnesses, I offered my help to others. Two aids at the home my Mom was in. First was Lisa. She was obese, lethargic and had two problems. Hepatitis C and ADHD. She had the movie playing in her head. I brought her fish oil and two 8oz of Sovereign Silver. The fish oil lifted her mood as usual.

I had her take a dropper of SS, under the tongue, every hour & a half until it was gone. About 20 to 23 days. I explained that there was absolutely no danger and to think of this like taking antibiotics. Meaning you have to saturate your body for a length of time to insure you kill the virus 100%. No skipping. Put it bedside to do a double in the night.

For the first three days, she showed really good, progressive signs. By day three, she was ahead of her work for the first time. Smiling and feeling good. She went on nights so I didn't see her for a few months. She was free of hep C and glowing. She lost more than half her weight.

Mom was moved next door where my next patient was. A sweet girl. She too was lethargic and it came out that she had Lupus. I looked it up to find that it is a side effect of the Epstein-Barr virus.

I put her on the same regiment of SS. In three days, she told me she felt a lot better. It was clear she was over it after a month when she moved away. Her hair started growing back too.

It should be said, because of the small particle size, SS leaves your body in 8 hours. This is why it's important to keep at it until it's all gone."

    In-house Electron Microscopy & 3rd Party Microscopy*

The finesse achieved by Natural-Immunogenics in its [colloidal] silver hydrosols could not have been achieved without the aid of the Transmission Electron Microscope. The company’s Phillips EM400T instrument is capable of resolution to less than 3 Angstroms. Since Natural-Immunogenics consistently produces silver species of a sub-nanometer size, the instrument is also used in its continuous quality control program.

Increasingly, for validation purposes, the company turns to 3rd party laboratories for corroboration of its own work. Below, left, are micrographs taken by Natural-Immunogenics of its product and several other widely-distributed silver products. For consistency, all such images have been done at a magnification of 100,000x.

Furthermore, we have submitted our own products and that of several competitive products to the Electron Microscopy lab at the University of Miami Medical School for qualified 3rd party evaluation. Below are our own images of those done at the U. of M. and the "Certificates of Analysis" accompanying each of them.

I should buy a case of this stuff while we can get it. Anyway... it's time to sit down an go over my list. We are going to make our faraday cage today using a metal garbage can with lid and cardboard today. And then I'll gather up batteries, walkie talkies, flash drives with data, music, movies, cheap laptop, solar battery recharger, etc. I figure the cell phones may be useless and do have an old fashion dial phone land line. The most important thing in any disaster is communication. The walking talkie we have has a 36 mile range. We've been testing it out at different locations to see if we need a direct line of sight for it to work.

And the other thing to remember.... is when the electrical grid goes down - nothing electrical works (atm machines, gas pumps, water pumps, toilets, cash registers - in some cases vehicles may become useless). So what's the back up plan? We have bikes, horse carts, a riding lawn mower.. and feet. But given we live on a hill side it's more likely we will stay put. And since we need a water pump to get water into the house to flush toilets this is something we are looking at.

So I guess I'm feeling that we are down to the last stretch. Just look at how fast this last year flew by. If we need to get something done - we need to do it sooner, not later.
