Such loyalty, both ways, very moving.
"My boyfriend Christian, and I took our three pups on an overnight stay at the beach. We dedicated the trip to our 11 year old American Staffordshire Terrier, Dyuki (Mr. Dukes). He was in his final stages of Grade III mast cell cancer at the time. His most favorite activity was swimming in our family pool, but until then, he had never seen the ocean. It was a very special trip for us, and I'm so grateful we were able to make it happen. He passed away a month later, but he put up one hell of a fight—almost two years.
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are." -Unknown
Dukes was my best friend. He was also my muse, as his passion for life served as a constant source of inspiration to me. I could never tire of photographing him. Since his passing, I've been told numerous times "how lucky Dukes was to have me." But in fact, it was me who was so lucky to have him. He was the smartest, funniest, most loyal, incredibly strong, yet equally sensitive dog—all wrapped into one perfect pittie package. He changed my life and I will miss him forever".
The dog in the blanket is so lovable, looking so solemn and serious, as I perceive his look.

Now that I've been offered a piece of land in a forest garden, I'm also in the company of a cat family of 6,
when I'm at work, preparing the soil. They're wild, like the place itself, with narrow pathways forming a labyrinth.
It's huge, I'll see it change into a green jungle in the coming months. I'll post pictures soon, in a little art from
the heart corner.
There's a kitten, in that cat family, just learning to eat with the adults. As soon as its mother eats from the bowl,
it pushes its head under its mothers belly, trying to sneak up for some milk, making sure that she won't get pregnant
and will continue to give milk as long as it's suckling. This kitten is multi colored, with green eyes and white feet, about
7 weeks old. It's always waiting for cuddles, a tiny wiry creature, climbing up my trousers and coat, pushing its cold
rubbery nose against mine. Purrrrrrr.....I'm looking forward to live with a cat again, once I've moved overseas to Devon UK
