    The one Russia-collusion narrative that Democrats have actively worked to suppress is coming back to haunt them.

    Investigators from the House Intelligence Committee have issued subpoenas to the DOJ and FBI for information related to the now-infamous Trump dossier that, as we recently learned, was provided to the FBI even though it contained knowingly inaccurate allegations. It was also financed by a “senior Russian government official," according to testimony given to the Senate Judiciary Committee.

    As expected, the move is being spearheaded by Republicans, while Democrats on the committee, including leading anti-Trumper Adam Schiff, are resisting the subpoenas, claiming this is the latest ploy to try and "discredit" the dossier's author, former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele.

    Here's the Washington Examiner, which first reported the news:

    In the most significant escalation yet in the wrangling between Congress and the FBI over the Trump dossier, the House Intelligence Committee has subpoenaed the bureau and the Justice Department for documents relating to the dossier, the FBI's relationship with dossier author Christopher Steele, and the bureau's possible role in supporting what began as an opposition research project against candidate Donald Trump in the final months of last year's presidential campaign.

    In reality, Democrats may be worried that, if the background materials are finally publicized, they could terminally damage the Trump-Russia collusion narrative. Here's more from CNN:

    "’We've got to run this thing to ground,’ said Republican Rep. Michael Conaway, who is heading the House Russia investigation. Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the panel, said the pair of subpoenas were issued over his objections last month and are designed to "undermine" the claims about the Trump campaign and the Kremlin.”

    As Hermitage Capital’s William Browder told the Senate Judiciary Committee during testimony in July, the dossier, which contains allegations that the Russians had compromising information on President Trump, was actually funded by a senior Russian government source, who paid Democratic opposition research firm Fusion GPS to conduct opposition research into Trump. The story hasn’t gotten a lot of traction in the mainstream press, we believe, because it violates the Russia-Trump narrative that the media has worked so hard to build from nothing.

    Here's the relevant exchange between Browder and Senator Lindsey Graham:

    Graham: You believe that Fusion GPS should of registered under FARA, because they were acting on the behalf of the Russians?
    Browder: That’s correct.
    Graham: So, I just want to absorb that for a moment. The group that did the dossier on President Trump hired this British spy, wound up getting it to the FBI. You believe they were working for the Russians?
    Browder: And in the Spring and Summer of 2016 they were receiving money indirectly from a senior Russian government official.
    Graham: Okay. So, these are the people that were trying to undermine Donald Trump by showing the nefarious ties to Russia. Is that what you’re saying?
    Browder: Well, what I’m saying with 100% certainty is that they were working to undermine the Magnitsky act and the timing of that.
    Graham: But, the Fusion GPS products apparently as they hired a guy to look into Trump?
    Browder: Yes.
    Graham: Right.
    Browder: Correct.

    Republicans have rightfully argued that it is important to understand the genesis of the dossier and whether it was created to sabotage Trump during his successful campaign for president, and also whether Democrats intentionally tried to mislead the FBI.

    The dossier was funded by a group called Fusion GPS that conducts political opposition research and was initially hired by anti-Trump Republicans during the primary before switching to the Democrats after Trump had secured the nomination. One of its co-founders, Glenn Simpson, a longtime investigative reporter at the Wall Street Journal, abruptly canceled voluntary testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee back in July.

    As Reuters reminds us, the House intelligence panel is conducting one of several Congressional probes into alleged collusion between the Trump and Russia campaigns, as well as allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

    Russia, naturally, denies meddling in the election and Trump denies any collusion, and as the latest series of leaks have shown, Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the other investigators have shifted their focus in the "collusion" probe to "financial crimes" conducted by the subjects of the investigation. What they have is reportedly sufficient to try to nail Paul Manafort on some kind of financial-fraud related charge in the hope that he'll turn on the president to save his own neck.

    While it remains unclear what materials they’re trying to subpoena, we hope that as more of this narrative is exposed to the public, the attempt by Trump’s opponents - supposedly including a "senior Russian government official" - to smear the president, while attempting to foment an FBI investigation based on false information – receives the publicity it deserves.

    There is only one angle in the Russia story worth investigating: Hillary’s role, the CIA’s role, and the FBI’s role in the Russia blame game.

    Let’s kick off that discussion with a detailed look at the alleged Russia hack of the DNC servers    .

    Former NSA experts say it wasn’t a hack at all, but an inside job by someone with access to the DNC’s system. Timestamp analysis proves that it’s impossible for Russia or anyone else to have externally hacked the DNC computers.

    Anyone with an ounce of common sense understood that Russia was not behind the scandal. We now have proof.

    The Nation headline story from August 9, New Report Raises Big Questions About Last Year’s DNC Hack does not do justice to the significance and gravity of the real story, but the article presents the case nicely.

    It is now a year since the Democratic National Committee’s mail system was compromised—a year since events in the spring and early summer of 2016 were identified as remote hacks and, in short order, attributed to Russians acting in behalf of Donald Trump. A great edifice has been erected during this time. President Trump, members of his family, and numerous people around him stand accused of various corruptions and extensive collusion with Russians. Half a dozen simultaneous investigations proceed into these matters. Last week news broke that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had convened a grand jury, which issued its first subpoenas on August 3. Allegations of treason are common; prominent political figures and many media cultivate a case for impeachment.

    All sides agree that relations between the United States and Russia are now as fragile as they were during some of the Cold War’s worst moments. To suggest that military conflict between two nuclear powers inches ever closer can no longer be dismissed as hyperbole.

    All this was set in motion when the DNC’s mail server was first violated in the spring of 2016 and by subsequent assertions that Russians were behind that “hack” and another such operation, also described as a Russian hack, on July 5. These are the foundation stones of the edifice just outlined. The evolution of public discourse in the year since is worthy of scholarly study: Possibilities became allegations, and these became probabilities. Then the probabilities turned into certainties, and these evolved into what are now taken to be established truths. By my reckoning, it required a few days to a few weeks to advance from each of these stages to the next. This was accomplished via the indefensibly corrupt manipulations of language repeated incessantly in our leading media.

    Lost in a year that often appeared to veer into our peculiarly American kind of hysteria is the absence of any credible evidence of what happened last year and who was responsible for it.

    We come now to a moment of great gravity. Forensic investigators, intelligence analysts, system designers, program architects, and computer scientists of long experience and strongly credentialed are now producing evidence disproving the official version of key events last year.

    Two, houses built on sand and made of cards are bound to collapse, and there can be no surprise that the one resting atop the “hack theory,” as we can call the prevailing wisdom on the DNC events, appears to be in the process of doing so.

    Research into the DNC case took a fateful turn in early July, when forensic investigators who had been working independently began to share findings and form loose collaborations wherein each could build on the work of others. In this a small, new website called http://www.disobedientmedia.com proved an important catalyst. Two independent researchers selected it, Snowden-like, as the medium through which to disclose their findings. One of these is known as Forensicator and the other as Adam Carter. On July 9, Adam Carter sent Elizabeth Vos, a co-founder of Disobedient Media, a paper by the Forensicator that split the DNC case open like a coconut.

    Forensicator’s first decisive findings, made public in the paper dated July 9, concerned the volume of the supposedly hacked material and what is called the transfer rate—the time a remote hack would require. The metadata established several facts in this regard with granular precision: On the evening of July 5, 2016, 1,976 megabytes of data were downloaded from the DNC’s server. The operation took 87 seconds. This yields a transfer rate of 22.7 megabytes per second.

    These statistics are matters of record and essential to disproving the hack theory. No Internet service provider, such as a hacker would have had to use in mid-2016, was capable of downloading data at this speed.     Compounding this contradiction, Guccifer claimed to have run his hack from Romania, which, for numerous reasons technically called delivery overheads, would slow down the speed of a hack even further from maximum achievable speeds.

    What is the maximum achievable speed? Forensicator recently ran a test download of a comparable data volume (and using a server speed not available in 2016) 40 miles from his computer via a server 20 miles away and came up with a speed of 11.8 megabytes per second—half what the DNC operation would need were it a hack. Other investigators have built on this finding. Folden and Edward Loomis say a survey published August 3, 2016, by http://www.speedtest.net/reports is highly reliable and use it as their thumbnail index. It indicated that the highest average ISP speeds of first-half 2016 were achieved by Xfinity and Cox Communications. These speeds averaged 15.6 megabytes per second and 14.7 megabytes per second, respectively.

    “A speed of 22.7 megabytes is simply unobtainable, especially if we are talking about a transoceanic data transfer,” Folden said. “Based on the data we now have, what we’ve been calling a hack is impossible.”

    The stamps recording the download indicate that it occurred in the Eastern Daylight Time Zone at approximately 6:45 pm. This confirms that the person entering the DNC system was working somewhere on the East Coast of the United States.

    In addition, there is the adulteration of the documents Guccifer 2.0 posted on June 15, when he made his first appearance. This came to light when researchers penetrated what Folden calls Guccifer’s top layer of metadata and analyzed what was in the layers beneath. They found that the first five files Guccifer made public had each been run, via ordinary cut-and-paste, through a single template that effectively immersed them in what could plausibly be cast as Russian fingerprints. They were not: The Russian markings were artificially inserted prior to posting. “It’s clear,” another forensics investigator self-identified as HET, wrote in a report on this question, “that metadata was deliberately altered and documents were deliberately pasted into a Russianified [W]ord document with Russian language settings and style headings.”

    Timeline

    On June 12 last year, Julian Assange announced that WikiLeaks had and would publish documents pertinent to Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.
    On June 14, CrowdStrike, a cyber-security firm hired by the DNC, announced, without providing evidence, that it had found malware on DNC servers and had evidence that Russians were responsible for planting it.

    On June 15, Guccifer 2.0 first appeared, took responsibility for the “hack” reported on June 14 and claimed to be a WikiLeaks source. It then posted the adulterated documents just described.

    On July 5, Guccifer again claimed he had remotely hacked DNC servers, and the operation was instantly described as another intrusion attributable to Russia. Virtually no media questioned this account.
    The Washington Post, CNN, and nearly every mainstream media outlet published the “Russia did it” story with no proof or even plausibility.

    James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence, admitted in May that “hand-picked” analysts from three agencies posted an Intelligence Community Assessment that they had “high confidence” Russia was behind this.

    The Nation notes “The FBI has never examined the DNC’s computer servers—an omission that is beyond preposterous.”

    Instead of examining the DNC servers, the FBI relied on the reports produced by Crowdstrike.  The co-founder and chief technology officer of Crowdstrike, Dmitri Alperovitch, is on the record as vigorously anti-Russian. Crowstrike was also under the employment of the DNC.

    Investigating the Wrong Target
    Trump should not be the one who is under investigation.

    I suggest starting with Hillary. Then there are questions about the FBI taking the word of Crowdstrike, a group employed by the DNC with a goal of taking down Trump.

    And what’s with this “high confidence” BS from James Clapper, the former director of national intelligence?

    There is plenty to investigate here. But instead of investigating the real story, probes are hell bent on proving pig fly.

    Just when you thought the Awan brothers case couldn’t get anymore bizarre, the Daily Caller’s Luke Rosiak floats the idea that Imran Awan may have planted Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s laptop for Capitol Police to find.

    Rosiak provides background on how the laptop was discovered.

    Per Rosiak:

    A laptop that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has frantically fought to keep prosecutors from examining may have been planted for police to find by her since-indicted staffer, Imran Awan, along with a letter to the U.S. Attorney.

    U.S. Capitol Police found the laptop after midnight April 6, 2017, in a tiny room that formerly served as a phone booth in the Rayburn House Office Building, according to a Capitol Police report reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group. Alongside the laptop was a Pakistani ID card, copies of Awan’s drivers license and congressional ID badge, and letters to the U.S. attorney. Police also found notes in a composition notebook marked “attorney-client privilege.”

    The laptop had the username “RepDWS,” even though the Florida Democrat and former Democratic National Committee chairman previously said it was Awan’s computer and that she had never even seen it.

    GOP Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert told the Daily Caller that Awan is too calculating to have forget the laptop in the tiny room.

    The circumstances of the laptop’s appearance described in the police report suggest Wasserman Schultz was trying to keep the police from reviewing a laptop that Awan himself may have wanted them to find. The former phone booth room where police found the items is small, and there was no obvious reason to enter it.

    Leaving important items there accidentally would seem extremely unlikely, according to Rep. Louis Gohmert, a Texas Republican, former prosecutor, and member of the House Judiciary Committee.

    “Imran Awan is a calculating person who made great efforts to cover his tracks, both electronically and physically,” Gohmert told TheDCNF. “Placing that laptop with his personal documents, which may well incriminate him, those he worked for, or both, in the dead of night in a House office building, was a deliberate act by a cunning suspect, and it needs to be investigated.”

    The wife of Imran Awan, Hina Alvi, struck a deal to return to the United States and face charges for conspiracy and bank fraud.

    Washington Examiner reports:

    A former House Democrat tech staffer who fled the country to Pakistan while under criminal investigation has struck a deal with federal officials to return to the U.S. and appear at an arraignment, according to court documents.

    Hina Alvi is the wife of Imran Awan, and both face charges of conspiracy and bank fraud. Both worked for Democrats for several years, and Awan worked directly for Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., when she was chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee.

    A document filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia indicates that federal prosecutors have struck a deal with Alvi that would allow her to return to the U.S., but would also require her to surrender her passport and afterwards not book any international travel. The deal only surrounds how Alvi will turn herself in, and is structured so that she can avoid being arrested in front of her children when she returns to the U.S., “during the last week of September 2017.”

    IT specialist Imran Awan worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz for thirteen years since she was first elected to national office in 2004 as a Florida representative.

    She only fired him after he was arrested and would have kept paying her “IT expert” even after he fled to Pakistan.

    The Awan brothers IT ring had access to emails and computer data from an estimated 800 lawmakers and staffers.

    Three Pakistani brothers who managed the IT affairs for several Democratic government officials were relieved of their duties in February on suspicion that they accessed specific computer networks without permission, also known as hacking.

    Imran Awan, who started working for Wasserman Schultz in 2005, received $164,600 in 2016, with close to $20,000 of that coming from Wasserman Schultz.

    His brother Jamal, who started working as a staffer in 2014, was paid $157,350.12 in 2016. Abid, who started working in 2005, was paid $160,943 in 2016.

    Imran’s wife, Hina Alvi, who was employed as a staffer since February 2007, was paid 168,300 in 2016. Rao Abbas was paid $85,049 in 2016.

    Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives in February.

    Most of the House Members fired the Awans subsequently. Only Debbie Wasserman Schultz kept Imran Awan on the pay roll up to the day he got arrest for Bank Fraud after trying to flee the country.

    The rest of the family fled since months to Pakistan along with hundreds of thousands of tax-payer money they mysteriously were able to wire.

    Democrats were willing or unwillingly compromised by the Awans and Sensitive Information leaked to foreign Enemies!  (Muslim Brotherhood – Yemen Raid with dead soldier for example?) Many of them have Seats on Committees that handle highly sensitive information.

    More information is coming out on Imran Awan and his criminal activities.

    Awan pretended to be his wife when requesting a loan from the Congressional Federal Credit Union and got it! He had the credit union wire $165,000 to PAKISTAN – no questions asked.

    In public lawsuits in Fairfax County, Va., the brothers have been accused of life insurance fraud as well as fraud involving a car dealership.

    A new report by Reporters Without Borders (RSF) reveals mainstream media reporters have been both threatened and blackmailed by Iranian spies for positive coverage.

    Washington Free Beacon reports:

    Iran’s clandestine spy network has been threatening and blackmailing scores of journalists, even going so far as to detain and threaten the family members of these reporters, in order to ensure positive coverage in global media outlets, according to a new report that estimates at least 50 international journalists have been threatened in just the past year.

    Iran uses its network of spies and its hardline judiciary to threaten journalists with punishment and in many cases detain family members in order to use them as leverage against Western reporters, according to a new report by Reporters Without Borders, or RSF, a watchdog group that advocates for freedom of the press.

    Outlets such as the BBC and Voice of America have been subjected to threats and in some cases have had their computers hijacked by Iran, according to the report, which states that “all international media outlets with Persian-language services are concerned” about the Islamic Republic’s often-secret efforts to blackmail reporters in order to gain positive headlines.

    Iran rejected a U.S. demand for United Nations nuclear inspectors to visit military bases.

    It also said the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) was unlikely to agree anyway, Reuters reports.

    The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley, last week pressed the IAEA to seek access to Iranian military bases to ensure that they were not concealing activities banned by the 2015 nuclear deal reached between Iran and six major powers.

    U.S. President Donald Trump has called the nuclear pact — negotiated under his predecessor Barack Obama — “the worst deal ever”. In April, he ordered a review of whether a suspension of nuclear sanctions on Iran was in the U.S. interest.

    Iranian government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht responded at a weekly news conference broadcast on state television on Tuesday.

    “Iran’s military sites are off limits,” he said. “All information about these sites are classified. Iran will never allow such visits. Don’t pay attention to such remarks that are only a dream.”

    The world continues to suffer because of Obama’s secret dealings with helping Iran bulk up their military and nuclear capabilities.

    As TGP previously reported, new details have emerged from the fraught nuclear deal with Iran. According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Obama administration hid key intelligence on Iran flying militants to Syria to push the nuclear deal.

    Surely to her dismay, Susan Rice isn’t off the hook yet when it comes to her role in Obama administration’s alleged “unmasking” of Trump campaign officials. On Wednesday, Rice is set for a private grilling by the House Intelligence Committee concerning her role in the highly controversial intel-gathering practice.

    Fox News reports:

    Former national security adviser Susan Rice is meeting privately Wednesday with the House Intelligence Committee, Fox News has learned, in the latest Capitol Hill session involving an Obama administration official.

    Rice was expected to face questions in closed session about Russia and the unmasking controversy. The sit-down comes after she attended a similar private session in July with staffers on the Senate Intelligence Committee.

    Some lawmakers have made clear they want to hear more from Obama administration officials, especially Rice, over their potential role in “unmasking” the identities of Trump associates from intelligence reports last year.

    Rice has come under fire for her alleged role. Congressional investigators have issued subpoenas to the NSA, CIA and FBI seeking “unmasking” information related to three individuals: Rice, former CIA Director John Brennan and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power.

    Former national security adviser to Barack Obama, Susan Rice quietly met with Senate intelligence committee members in a closed-door meeting recently.

    CNN reports:

    Rice, one of three former Obama officials who met with the panel this week, has come under sharp scrutiny from some House Republicans because they believe she improperly “unmasked” — or revealed the identities collected in intelligence gathering — of Trump associates in US intelligence reports. She has vigorously denied any wrongdoing.

    “Ambassador Rice met voluntarily with the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence today as part of the committee’s bipartisan investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 US presidential election,” said Erin Pelton, a spokesperson for Rice, who also served as Obama’s US ambassador to the United Nations. “Ambassador Rice appreciates the Committee’s efforts to examine Russia’s efforts to interfere, which violated one of the core foundations of American democracy.”

    Rice’s appearance Friday marks the latest high-profile witness to privately meet with the panel ahead of the Senate’s upcoming summer recess, with investigators meeting with former Obama chief of staff Denis McDonough and James Clapper, who was Obama’s former director of national intelligence. And on Monday, Senate staff will interview Jared Kushner, the President’s son-in-law and senior adviser, whose meetings with Russian officials have prompted serious questions from investigators.

    As TGP previously reported, independent journalist, Mike Cernovich first broke the story about Susan Rice’s role in the “unmasking” of Trump team officials. Cernovich also recounted to his YouTube audience how he broke one of the biggest stories of the year.

    The White House Counsel’s office identified Rice as the person responsible for the unmasking after examining Rice’s document log requests. The reports Rice requested to see are kept under tightly-controlled conditions. Each person must log her name before being granted access to them.

    Upon learning of Rice’s actions, H. R. McMaster dispatched his close aide Derek Harvey to Capitol Hill to brief Chairman Nunes.

    Will the Clintons finally be brought to justice? Investor Charles Ortel believes new research signals the Clinton Foundation is at risk of being the subject of multiple international criminal investigations.

    Infowars reports:

    Ortel explained to Infowars.com that the Clinton fraud with UNITAID could lead to criminal investigations in countries including France and Great Britain, even if the U.S. Justice Department continues to decline any serious criminal investigations into Clinton Foundation activities.

    UNITAID documents that 60.8 percent of all UNITAID contributions from 2006-2012 have come from France.

    Ortel explained to Infowars.com that a French government investigation in 2011 concluded that UNITAID had sent approximately $450 million to CHAI by Dec. 31, 2009.

    Ortel pointed out that a major problem for the Clintons was that neither CHAI nor the Clinton Foundation had received proper authorization from U.S. government or foreign government authorities to operate as an international charity accepting donations in the U.S. and abroad to combat HIV/AIDS.

    “The problem is that regulatory filings prove the Clintons had merged CHAI out of legal existence on December 31, 2005, before UNITAID was organized on Sept. 19, 2006, and the second entity, the Clinton Foundation, never had lawful power from the IRS to do anything other than serve as Presidential archive and research facility in Arkansas,” he continued.

    “Then, on Dec. 31, 2009, while Hillary Clinton was Secretary of State and Lois Lerner was denying and/or delaying tax deferred status to conservative and libertarian groups applying for 501(c)(3) status, the Clintons filed a false and misleading application with the IRS under penalties of perjury naming Bill Clinton as chairman and trustee for a new charity, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. (New CHAI),” Ortel argued. “In signing this application Bill Clinton failed to disclose that he was a convicted felon, forced to surrender licenses to practice law in Arkansas, as well as before the U.S. Supreme Court, for lying under oath and obstructing justice in a sexual harassment case brought by Paula Jones.”

    A laptop that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz has frantically fought to keep prosecutors from examining may have been planted for police to find by her since-indicted staffer, Imran Awan, along with a letter to the U.S. Attorney.

    U.S. Capitol Police found the laptop after midnight April 6, 2017, in a tiny room that formerly served as a phone booth in the Rayburn House Office Building, according to a Capitol Police report reviewed by The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group. Alongside the laptop were a Pakistani ID card, copies of Awan’s driver’s license and congressional ID badge, and letters to the U.S. attorney. Police also found notes in a composition notebook marked “attorney-client privilege.”

    The laptop had the username “RepDWS,” even though the Florida Democrat and former Democratic National Committee chairman previously said it was Awan’s computer and that she had never even seen it.

    Awan was banned Feb. 2, 2017, from the congressional computer network because he is a suspect in a cybersecurity investigation, but he still had access to House facilities because Wasserman Schultz continued to employ him.

    The laptop was found on the second floor of the Rayburn building — a place Awan would have had no reason to go because Wasserman Schultz’s office is in the Longworth building and the other members who employed him had fired him.

    Wasserman Schultz used a televised May 18, 2017 congressional hearing on the Capitol Police budget to threaten “consequences” if Chief Matthew Verderosa did not give her the laptop. “If a member loses equipment,” it should be given back, she said.

    Verderosa told her the laptop couldn’t be returned because it was tied to a criminal suspect. Wasserman Schultz reiterated that, while Awan was a suspect, the computer should be returned because it is “a member’s … if the member is not under investigation.”

    She changed her story two months later, claiming it was Awan’s laptop — bought with taxpayer funds from her office — and she had never seen it. She said she only sought to protect Awan’s rights. “This was not my laptop,” she said August 3. “I have never seen that laptop. I don’t know what’s on the laptop.”

    Awan, his wife, Hina Alvi, and two of his Pakistani-born brothers are at the center of a joint FBI-Capitol Police cybersecurity criminal investigation of their IT work for dozens of Democratic House members.

    Awan was arrested by the FBI at Dulles International Airport July 25, 2017, while trying to board a flight to his native Pakistan and then indicted on four counts of bank fraud in connection with his wire transfer of nearly $300,000 to Pakistan. The bank fraud charges are tangential to the cybersecurity probe.

    The circumstances of the laptop’s appearance described in the police report suggest Wasserman Schultz was trying to keep the police from reviewing a laptop that Awan himself may have wanted them to find. The former phone booth room where police found the items is small, and there was no obvious reason to enter it.

    Leaving important items there accidentally would seem extremely unlikely, according to Rep. Louie Gohmert, a Texas Republican, former prosecutor, and member of the House Judiciary Committee.

    “Imran Awan is a calculating person who made great efforts to cover his tracks, both electronically and physically,” Gohmert told TheDCNF. “Placing that laptop with his personal documents, which may well incriminate him, those he worked for, or both, in the dead of night in a House office building, was a deliberate act by a cunning suspect, and it needs to be investigated.”

    Even though the laptop was allegedly used only by an IT aide who worked for numerous members, Wasserman Schultz has hired an outside counsel, William Pittard, to argue that the laptop not be examined. Pittard argued that the speech and debate clause — which only protects a member’s information directly related to legislative duties — should prevent prosecutors from examining the laptop’s contents, The DCNF has learned. Pittard did not respond to requests for comment.

    Pittard, a partner with KaiserDillon, is the former acting general counsel of the House. Hiring an outside counsel to argue the speech and debate clause on behalf of Wasserman Schultz is highly unusual, because the general counsel of the House offers opinions on speech and debate issues for free.

    The most recent notable example of a member hiring an outside attorney to argue a more aggressive interpretation is former Louisiana Rep. William Jefferson, who was convicted Aug. 4, 2009 of “using his office to try to enrich himself and relatives through a web of bribes and payoffs involving business ventures in Africa.” Investigators found $100,000 in cash in his freezer.

    The collection of documents found in Rayburn tied the laptop to Awan and ensured that police would keep the computer. The reporting officer wrote that when he saw Awan’s name, he recalled guarding an interrogation of him a few months earlier. The “attorney client privilege” notation also prevented police from immediately reviewing some of the papers.

    Nonetheless, the officer opened the MacBook and found that its login screen did not have Awan’s username, but rather “RepDWS.” (Debbie Wasserman-Shultz)

    A police report reviewed by TheDCNF said:

    On 4/6/2017 at 0021 hours, with the building closed to the public, AOC informed USCP Rayburn offices of an unattended bag in the phone booth on the 2nd floor. The officer received the open-contents visible bag and prepared a found property report. While reviewing the inventory of the bag contents, the officer found

    #1 a Pakistani ID card with the name Mohommed Ashraf Awan
    #2 a copy – not original – of a drivers license with name Imran Awan
    #3 a copy (front and back) of his congressional ID
    #4 an Apple laptop with the homescreen initials ‘RepDWS’
    #5 composition notebooks with notes handwritten saying ‘attorney client privilege’ and possibly discussing case details below
    #6 loose letters addressed to US Attorney of DC discussing the apparent owner of the bag being investigated.

    Approximately 3-4 months ago officer was requested by SAA as police presence of 4 individuals being interviewed, including the bag owner. It is unknown to the officer whether he is still employed.

    Irma's Latest Status, Timing

    The center of Irma is located about 55 miles northwest of Great Inagua Island, or just under 500 miles southeast of Miami, and is moving west-northwestward at about 16 mph.

    Irma's maximum sustained winds have dipped a tad to 155 mph, still a formidably strong Category 4 hurricane, based on data from an Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicating the hurricane is currently in an eyewall replacement cycle, during which a new outer eyewall replaces the old inner eyewall.

    Hurricane warnings have been issued for Florida's Jupiter Inlet southward around the peninsula to Bonita Beach, the Florida Keys, the Bahamas, the Turks and Caicos Islands and the Cuban provinces of Camaguey, Ciego de Avila, Sancti Spiritus and Villa Clara.

    A hurricane watch is also in effect for portions of Florida, from north of the Jupiter Inlet to Sebastian Inlet, as well as north of Bonita Beach to Anna Maria Island, along with the Cuban provinces of Guantanamo, Holguin, Las Tunas and Matanzas.

    A storm surge warning has also been issued from the Jupiter Inlet to Bonita Beach and the Florida Keys. A storm surge watch is in effect from north of the Jupiter Inlet to Sebastian Inlet and from north of Bonita Beach to Venice.

    Low wind shear, increased mid-level moisture and increasing oceanic heat content favor that Irma will remain a powerful hurricane (Category 4 or stronger) for the next several days, though some intensity fluctuations are likely at times. At this intensity, small deviations in wind speed will not significantly change impacts. A direct hit will be devastating.

    For the next couple of days, Irma will move west-northwest on the south side of a ridge of high pressure called the Bermuda high, centered in the central Atlantic.

    This weekend, Irma will begin to turn north in the direction of a departing southward dip in the jet stream that has set up in the eastern United States. The location of that northward turn will dictate where the most severe impacts from Irma occur in Florida and the southeastern United States.

    Once again, a huge Trump-Russia story that relied upon anonymous sources has fallen apart.

    NBC News dropped what the network hyped as a “potential bombshell” last week. “Manafort Notes From Russian Meet Contain Cryptic Reference to ‘Donations,'” the original headline read. The story claimed that Manafort’s notes from the 2016 Trump Tower meeting with White House aide Jared Kushner, Donald Trump Jr. and a Russian lawyer included the word “donations” near a reference to the Republican National Committee.

    NBC began walking back the “potential bombshell” almost immediately, issuing a correction the same day noting that the word “donation” didn’t actually appear in the notes, but quoting one source who said the word “donor” was in the notes.

    But NBC’s corrected story still wasn’t accurate, according to a new Politico report, which said that the word “donor” didn’t appear in Manafort’s notes. Moreover, Manafort’s notes “are not seen as damaging to the Trump family or campaign officials,” Politico reported. The outlet cited several sources who have seen Manafort’s notes, while NBC relied on “two sources briefed on the evidence” to make its claim.


    Even before Politico fully debunked NBC’s reporting, the network’s decision to publish the story came under fire. The day after NBC originally published the story, The Washington Post’s Erik Wemple criticized the story, which he said “provides only fodder for innuendo and conspiracy, not for sound conclusions about what happened.”

    CNN was forced to rewrite a story in June that claimed that former FBI Director James Comey’s Senate testimony would refute President Trump’s assertion that Comey reassured him three times that he was not under investigation. In fact, Comey confirmed Trump’s account.

    Later that month, CNN retracted a story that claimed Trump campaign adviser Anthony Scaramucci was under investigation in relation to Congress’ Russia probe. The botched story turned into a public relations nightmare for CNN, and three of the network’s employees ended up resigning.     A Feb. 14 New York Times story that was widely seen as a bombshell was actually “almost entirely wrong,” Comey said during his Senate testimony, adding that “in the main it was not true.” That story, too, relied on anonymous sources.

    Prosecutors have given Imran Awan a copy of the hard drive of a House laptop that Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to keep law enforcement from looking at, court filings show, suggesting prosecutors intend to bring charges related to the underlying cybersecurity and theft probe.

    The hard-drive copy was included in discovery even though the Florida Democrat has said the laptop contains House information on it and is a government-paid work computer, and even though Imran was fired and banned from the House network because of suspected cybersecurity violations.

    Imran left the laptop, with the username RepDWS, in a phone booth in circumstances that suggest that it was not accidentally forgotten there. Alongside it, he left a copy of his ID and letters to the U.S. attorney that ensured it would be treated as evidence instead of simply returned as a missing laptop.

    Imran entered a House office building the night of April 6, two months after he was banned by House authorities from touching its network, and placed the laptop, a copy of his ID, and letters to the US Attorney in a phone booth, according to a police report. There would be little reason to enter the phone booth, and it would be difficult to forget items there.

    Imran also left in the phone booth a notebook that said “attorney client privilege,” which could be a reason why prosecutors gave Imran’s lawyer a copy of what could be Wasserman Schultz’s laptop. Prosecutors said they were giving him a copy under the legal process of discovery, in which defendants have a right to evidence being used against them.

    He has only been charged with bank-fraud crimes related to trying to flee the country with cash, which is why its inclusion in discovery suggests prosecutors intend to bring charges related to the underlying cybersecurity and theft probe. Imran’s lawyer, Wasserman Schultz, and many in the media have said the misconduct involving Imran goes no further than bank fraud, but the timeline makes clear that a serious criminal investigation into those House issues was the impetus for those moves, and the notebook also included “case details” and letters about “the apparent owner of the bag being investigated,” well before he was accused of bank fraud.

    An Aug. 31 letter from prosecutors to Imran’s attorney reads:

    Wasserman Schultz frantically fought to stop police from looking at the laptop’s hard drive. For more than two months, police had been telling her they suspected him of cybersecurity breaches, including what she called “data transfer violations,” but she maintained that she thought the police were picking on him and wanted to protect his “due process” — even though she knew how serious cyberbreaches can be because she was head of the DNC when its emails were released last year.

    Imran had access to all the emails and files of dozens of House Democrats. The bizarre refusal of members of Congress to criticize Imran no matter how many suspicious actions are tied to him raises questions about whether members may be afraid that he could release their emails if they assist in his prosecution, or that some could implicated in a kickbacks scheme involving disappearing equipment and ghost employees.

    David Damron, a spokesman for the Florida lawmaker, declined to tell The Daily Caller News Foundation why Wasserman Schultz would still be so adamant the allegations against Imran were made up even after Imran apparently took her laptop late at night and left it where it would be found, alongside other seemingly carefully curated evidence.

    Damron would not clarify why she said the laptop was hers and she had lost it, then that it was Imran’s and she had never even seen it, and finally, the revelation that it had the username RepDWS, rather than Imran’s username.

    Wasserman Schultz hired an outside attorney, Bill Pittard, to argue that police and prosecutors should not be allowed to keep or look at the laptop because it was full of sensitive legislative information, invoking the Constitution’s “speech and debate clause.”

    Wasserman Schultz was prohibited from allowing Imran to touch anything having to do with the House network after the Feb. 2 ban, but she kept paying him and providing him access to the office, she said, to have him work on “printers” and “websites.” Damron would not say whether Wasserman Schultz thought he had connected to the network using the laptop. He would also not say what Imran was doing roaming the House hallways at night.

    After learning that Imran was the subject of an investigation, Wasserman Schultz went out of her way to add his wife, Hina Alvi, to her payroll in a newly created position as a second IT aide. In March, Hina left the country with $12,000 in cash, her children, and large amounts of household goods while Wasserman Schultz knew she was the subject of a criminal investigation, but she kept paying Imran. Weeks later on April 6, the laptop and letters to the U.S. Attorney turned up in the phone booth.

    On May 18, she threatened the Capitol Police with “consequences” if they didn’t return the laptop, saying “if a member loses equipment… it should be returned” because “the member” is not the subject of an investigation.

    Police chief Matthew Verderosa noted that he was keeping the laptop because it was tied to a criminal suspect. Indeed, if the laptop had been found by itself, the laptop would have been returned, but the seemingly carefully laid collection of items left with it, including multiple IDs and references to a criminal case, ensured that the laptop would be immediately considered evidence.

    Immediately after prosecutors gave Imran a copy of the laptop, Imran’s wife, Hina Alvi, told prosecutors she would agree to return from Pakistan to face charges, seemingly indicating she has confidence that she won’t face serious punishment for theft or cyberviolations, despite authorities being in possession of massive quantities of invoices that were systematically altered to prevent the equipment from appearing in House inventories.

    Bill Miller, a spokesman for the U.S. Attorney of the District of Columbia, declined to comment on giving Imran an image of the laptop. Wasserman Schultz’s brother, Steve Wasserman, is an attorney in the office. He has no role in prosecuting the case, but he has tweeted an op-ed arguing that there should be no case against his sister.

    Lawyer Ty Clevenger says the FBI is desperately trying to cover its tracks by not releasing former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails.

    Clevenger spoke with Tucker Carlson on Fox News Thursday night about his efforts to gain access through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. That request was denied and the lawyer said he originally wondered if former president Barack Obama was still running the FBI.

    The FBI told him that his request “wasn’t in the public interest.”

    “They’re saying the public doesn’t care,”     Clevenger added.

    “My understanding of the FOIA law was that the government has to have a compelling reason to deny your right to see public documents,” Carlson, one of the co-founders of The Daily Caller, continued.

    Clevenger agreed, saying that he was “not asking for her entire FBI file. I’m asking for things that Congress asked for.” He explained that he appealed the decision to the Department of Justice which has since granted his request and agreed that “this was a matter of public interest.”

    “So what do you think the motive was here?” Carlson then asked.

    “Former FBI director James Comey had already decided to exonerate Mrs. Clinton,” Clevenger answered. “The FBI is trying to cover its own rear end. I think they know this thing is going to look terrible for them. They deep-sixed this, they white-washed it and they don’t want the documents coming out just  showing how badly they covered it up.”

    The lawyer insisted that these legal niceties only exist for people like Hillary Clinton and would “never happen” for average citizens.

    “If an average lawyer destroyed 30,000 pieces of evidence he would have been disbarred and prosecuted.”

    Comments:

    Mueller’s own conflicts of interest require his recusal as special counsel. Allegations against Trump turn exclusively upon the credibility and personal interests of Mueller’s colleague and “buddy cop” James Comey. Not only will the investigation impact Comey, but Mueller must judge his own friend’s credibility as a witness. Department of Justice regulations are extended to the special counsel by 28 C.F.R. § 600.7, including:

    28 CFR § 45.2 Disqualification arising from personal or political relationship.

    (a) Unless authorized under paragraph (b) of this section, no employee shall participate in a criminal investigation or prosecution if he has a personal or political relationship with:

    (1) Any person or organization substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution; or

    (2) Any person or organization which he knows has a specific and substantial interest that would be directly affected by the outcome of the investigation or prosecution.

    Once a question is raised, the supervisor must assure himself that:

    28 CFR § 45.2 (b)(2) The employee’s participation would not create an appearance of a conflict of interest likely to affect the public perception of the integrity of the investigation or prosecution.

    So, you may have noticed that Hillary Clinton still has no idea why she lost the election. Neither do several top ranking democrats. Well, sit back and listen. I'm about to give you some real uncle Intel. Intel straight from the top. Intel from the man - and yes, he does look in on the forum. And he wants you to have the following info.

    So, let's cut directly to the answer - Voter Turnout. Before I explain, I've given you the answer. Because it's very important that you read this and understand how and why it happened. Voter turnout cost Hillary the election.

    Hillary never bothered to campaign. She never even bothered to come up with a platform. All she did was attend parties and raise money with her wealthy friends. Sure, she had a few late rallies, but few attended. She didnt care. Do you know why?

    Because the election was rigged. She had been told that she was the winner. No matter what happened, there was no way that Trump could defeat her. It was in the bag. The same techniques used in previous elections would guarantee the victory.

    Trump couldn't win several key states, so all they needed to do was steal three or four close states and Hillary would be president. They had the people in place to do it and it would happen. States like Florida, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Ohio would be key. And they were promised to Hillary.

    So what went wrong?

    Democrats use many methods to cheat. They bus in voters, they encourage illegal aliens to vote, they steal absentee ballots. But, the top vote stealing method... the method that garners more free votes that anything else is - Waiting until the polls close and filling out ballots for everyone that didn't bother to vote.

    This is why all the dead voters vote democrat. This is why certain states don't turn in their totals until 2am, long after the polls close. This is why democrats frequently, magically, come from behind and win by 5%.

    What went wrong? Extremely high voter turnout. There simply weren't enough votes left to steal. So many people voted that Hillary's people couldn't steal enough votes to overcome Trumps lead. They tried. They couldn't.

    You can search the net, and you'll find, that according to real data, more people voted in 2012 than 2016. According to real stats, voter turnout was not especially high in 2016. Those figures are correct. That's because democrats filled out ballots for millions of voters in 2012. That's how Obama won.

    But, in 2016, we all saw the long lines of voters. More voters than anyone had ever seen before. Voter turnout, REAL voter turnout was an absolute record high. And that's why Hillary lost. That's why they couldn't steal it. There simply weren't enough left over ballots to fill out.

    Keep in mind, they only need to do this in a few counties. Places like Miami, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Philly... if they can steal enough votes in those areas, they take every electoral vote from that state. Ultimately, in a close election, those stolen votes can decide the winner. It didn't work in 2016.

    That's why Hillary lost.

    The news of the notice of appeal having been filed comes as a relief to many, who view the litigation against the DNC and former chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz as one of the only avenues to truly address deep corruption in the Democratic party establishment which was so starkly reveled in the Wikileaks publication of the DNC leaks last year.

    As Elizabeth Beck pointed out in her previous discussion of the dismissal, no copycat suits against the DNC have been filed in the wake of Judge Zloch’s dismissal. This means that the Beck’s suit and the appeal of its dismissal are still utterly unique in actually calling the DNC to account for its blatant and unapologetic corruption. It also sheds light on how few lawyers or firms in the country are willing to take on this suit.

    As TGP previously reported Miami lawyers Jared and Elizabeth Lee Beck had their lawsuit against the DNC thrown out by a Florida court last month. The lawsuit alleged “DNC actively concealed its bias from its donors and supporters and was in cahoots with the Clinton campaign to tip the scales in her favor,” according to LawNewz.

    The judge wrote:

    The Plaintiffs asserting each of these causes of action specifically allege that they donated to the DNC or to Bernie Sanders’s campaign.  But not one of them alleges that they ever read the DNC’s charter or heard the statements they now claim are false before making their donations. And not one of them alleges that they took action in reliance on the DNC’s charter or the statements identified in the First Amended Complaint (DE Cool. Absent such allegations, these Plaintiffs lack standing.

    Ouch. In the lawsuit, the Bernie backers claimed they had standing to sue because they donated to the DNC thinking that the organization was neutral during the primaries.

    “The act of donating to an organization does not, of itself, create a legally protected interest in the organization’s operations,” Judge Zloch said.

    Unlike the bogus scandals pushed by the press, the DNC fraud lawsuit was subject to a “media blackout.”

    The liberal media refuses to cover this important case.

    Morris explains that the method of the intel-media complex is always the same. They start with a piece of disinformation, leak it to the media, blow it out of proportion, put the President on the defensive then broaden the accusation to show the President to be incompetent and unreliable.

    “(CIA John) Brennan and (AG Eric) Holder transferred almost 1,000 people from political jobs to to civil service jobs so they could not be fired and thus be protected and completely free to leak their heads off,” Morris said.

    Morris describes the panic that spread inside of the DNC when Trump actually became the GOP nominee after not being taken seriously for months. This is when the ‘Russian hacking’ narrative was hatched by Podesta.

    The debunked ‘Russian dossier’ was then compiled in order to defame Trump and further push the Russian hoax.

    The dossier was then passed on to Comey. Morris suggests that the FBI and CIA could perhaps be behind the anonymous sources that created the phony dossier.

    McCain’s involvement in pushing the dossier up the chain of commands is incredible.

    The Russian dossier created a daisy chain of events which led to FISA warrants, Comey leaking, Comey getting fired which ultimately prompted Special Counsel Mueller to investigate the Trump administration.

    Morris says the ultimate goal is to have Trump impeached and ousted.

    The Department of Justice announced Friday it will not charge former IRS official Lois Lerner in the highly controversial IRS scandal, which saw numerous Conservative groups allegedly targeted by the Department.

    President of Judicial Watch Tom Fitton released a powerful statement following the reports that Lois Lerner would not be charged in the IRS scandal.

    Fitton’s statement via Judicial Watch:

    I have zero confidence that the Justice Department did an adequate review of the IRS scandal. In fact, we’re still fighting the Justice Department and the IRS for records about this very scandal. Today’s decision comes as no surprise considering that the FBI collaborated with the IRS and is unlikely to investigate or prosecute itself. President Trump should order a complete review of the whole issue. Meanwhile, we await accountability for IRS Commissioner Koskinen, who still serves and should be drummed out of office.

    Judicial Watch also reported:

    The FBI 302 documents confirm the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) 2013 report that said, “Senior IRS officials knew that agents were targeting conservative groups for special scrutiny as early as 2011.” Lerner did not reveal the targeting until May 2013, in response to a planted question at an American Bar Association conference. The new documents reveal that then-acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller actually wrote Lerner’s response: “They used names like Tea Party or Patriots and they selected cases simply because the applications had those names in the title. That was wrong, that was absolutely incorrect, insensitive, and inappropriate.”

    Judicial Watch’s litigation forced the IRS first to say that emails belonging to Lerner were supposedly missing and later declare to the court that the emails were on IRS back-up systems. Lerner was one of the top officials responsible for the IRS’ targeting of President Obama’s political opponents.

    Obama IRS Commissioner Koskinen was nearly impeached in September 2016 for misleading Congress on Lerner’s emails.

    Documents released in July 2016 revealed the IRS knew of Tea Party targeting since 2011.

    The IRS released a list in 2016 of 426 Tea Party and conservative groups that were targeted during the Obama years.

    The Gateway Pundit also reported on another shocking abuse by Obama’s IRS uncovered by Judicial Watch. The Reason Alliance, which is a Massachusetts group that worships Satan, created an after school Satanic club for elementary schools. They received their tax exempt status by the IRS within 10 days of applying while Tea Party groups waited years. Pure evil.

    In any case, Pentagon sources, for their part, say “Hurricanes, wars, and mayhem appear to be a failed cabal attempt to delay the global currency reset and gold-backed financial system as Irma downsized, and Katia, Jose lose their power.”

    The weather warfare was only a small part of the high level brinkmanship going on as the September 30th payments deadline for the US corporate government approached.

    The Trump administration and the military junta that backs it was using North Korea as an excuse to threaten all out nuclear war if the US government did not get funding to continue its operations past that day.     This move has angered Trump’s base, with many former Trump associates now saying the Trump regime has de facto ended. Ousted Trump consigliari Steve Bannon gave an interview on CBS 60 minutes that was a “hit that unleashes him as eminence grise of Trump and wing man outside the White House to take on globalists, Republicans, China, and the deep state,” one Pentagon source claims.

    CIA sources in Texas, for their part, say Trump’s compromise so angered Republican Party brass that Republican Senate Majority Leader “Mitchell McConnell and someone else put a contract out on Trump.”

    What we have witnessed is little more than a temporary cease fire in a battle that is sure to heat up again over the coming weeks and months. What is at stake is control over the Federal Reserve Board and thus the right to print and distribute US dollars.

    On that front, the Khazarian mob is still losing big time. “Israeli dual citizen, Rotshchild agent Stanley Fischer was booted out as FRB vice chair while goldmanite Gary Cohn was blocked from running the fed,” Pentagon sources note. The Trump regime is now going to be in the position to select 5 out of the 7 FRB governors, a situation not seen since 1936.

    “It may well be that the FRB will be absorbed into [The US] Treasury when the gold-backed dollar is launched, as treasury Secretary [Steven] Mnuchin has refused to drop Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill,” the sources note.     The system as it is currently run is unsustainable so, one way or another, a replacement will need to be found. The privately owned central banks have already put $2 trillion into propping up markets this year alone with the result that $7.4 trillion worth of bonds are now trading at negative interest rates. The financial markets are thus getting further and further out of touch with the real economy and no matter how hard the central bankers try to avoid reality, reality has a way of eventually catching up to you.
