"Dear President Trump: America Is In For A Rude Awakening In January"
    Sep 10, 2017 11:10 PM
Authored by James Rickards via DailyReckoning.com

    Dear President Trump,

Over the last couple of years I’ve been all over TV… from Fox News to CNBC, CNN and Bloomberg. I’ve been telling our fellow Americans that the financial global elite was planning to issue their own globalist currency called special drawing rights, or SDRs.

And that those elites would use this new currency to replace the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency.

I’ve even written about this extensively in my best-selling booksThe Road to Ruin and The New Case for Gold.

I’m sure some people in the mainstream media thought I was out of line — but the United Nations and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have both confirmed this plan to replace the U.S. dollar is real. I’ve made this warning many times, but it seems to be falling on deaf ears. That’s why I’m writing directly to you.

Here’s the proof that the U.S. dollar is under attack, right in front of our eyes:

The UN said we need “a new global reserve system… that no longer relies on the United States dollar as the single major reserve currency.”

And the IMF admitted they want to make “the special drawing right (SDR) the principal reserve asset in the [International Monetary System].” More recently, the IMF advanced their plan by helping private institutions, such as the UK’s Standard Chartered Bank, issue bonds in SDRs.

Although our mainstream media ignored this major event, the UK media reported:

    SDR Special Drawing Rights

This is all happening. And on January 1st, 2018, this trend to replace the U.S. dollar will accelerate. That’s when the global elite will implement a major change to the plumbing of our financial system.

It’s a brand-new worldwide banking system called Distributed Ledger Technology. And it will have a huge impact on seniors who are now preparing for retirement.

When this system goes live, many nations will be able to dump the U.S. dollar for SDRs.

For now, the U.S. dollar is still the world’s reserve currency. Other nations have to hold and use the U.S. dollar for international trade, instead of their own currencies.

This creates a virtually unlimited demand for U.S. dollars, which allows us to print trillions of dollars each year to pay for wars, debt and anything we want. It keeps our country operating.

Now, we can see that the global elites are working to unseat the U.S. dollar as the global reserve currency.

Here are the three key pieces of information that prove this will happen.

Fact #1 — The IMF issues a globalist currency called special drawing rights, or SDRs.

Fact #2 — The IMF has confirmed they want to replace the U.S. dollar with SDRs.

Fact #3 — The IMF has confirmed Distributed Ledgers can be used for “currency substitution”… and they’ve even set up a special task force to speed up implementation.

The IMF is using this technology to create an SDR payment system, because that’s the currency they issue.

    IMF Lagarde Special Drawing Rights

As you know, Christine Lagarde, head of the IMF, is the woman in the middle.

When asked about the task force, she said:

“As I see it, all this amounts to a brave new world for the financial sector.”
Yes, a brave new world where the dollar is no longer the world reserve currency.

Barbara C. Matthews, a former US Treasury Department attaché to the European Union, has reached the same conclusion.

She said the link between the globalists’ currency and Distributed Ledgers “is impossible to avoid.”

And that “the IMF seems to be exploring the possibility of permitting a broader use of [their globalist currency] beyond internal transactions among member central banks.”

Make no mistake, if the IMF is planning to use Distributed Ledgers to replace the U.S. dollar with SDRs. And just to be clear, when SDRs take over, the American people will be left with devalued dollars.

Once other nations start accumulating the globalist currency through Distributed Ledgers, they will no longer need to hold dollars. Once Distributed Ledgers go live, other nations will no longer need to buy Treasury bonds.

And that means our government — your government — will no longer be able to finance its normal operations, including welfare programs like Social Security. For those who have their retirement account parked in stocks, they could watch it evaporate in a matter of days. The weakest companies in the stock market could collapse once this plan goes live.

Just look what happened the last time we had a big change in our global financial system. In 1971, Nixon announced the U.S. would no longer officially trade dollars for gold. That created a lot of uncertainties, turning that decade into a nightmare for stock investors.

Take a look… the Dow Jones, an index of “stable” blue chip stocks (the kind most retirees like to hold), was cut in half. Stock investors bailed out of the market and, for the most part, didn’t come back for a decade.

    Dow Jones Historical Chart

I expect something similar once Distributed Ledgers go live.

The transition from a U.S. dollar system to a new system dominated by SDRs will be messy. Stocks will collapse… and will stay down. There will be no recovery this time, because the U.S. government won’t be able to come to the rescue like they did in 2008.

You won’t even have funding for normal operations, let alone enough funds to save stock investors.

I know that governments have been patiently watching Distributed Ledger (often referred to as blockchain) technology develop and grow outside their control for the past eight years. Libertarian supporters of Distributed Ledgers celebrate this lack of government control.

Yet, their celebration is premature, and their belief in the sustainability of powerful systems outside government control is naïve. Governments don’t like competition especially when it comes to money.

You probably know that you, or any government, cannot stop Distributed Ledger technology — in fact you probably don’t want to. Governments and monetary elites want to control it using powers of regulation, taxation, and investigation.

An elite U.S. legal institution called the Uniform Law Commission, which proposes model laws intended for adoption in all fifty states, has released its latest proposal called the “Uniform Regulation of Virtual Currency Businesses Act.”

This new law will not only provide a regulatory scheme for state regulators, but will also be a platform for litigation by private plaintiffs and class action lawyers seeking recourse against real or imagined abuses by digital coin exchanges and facilities.

We know the U.S. government will want to use this technology for its benefit. One step toward government control just occurred a few weeks ago.

On August 1, 2017, the SEC announced “Guidance on Regulation of Initial Coin Offerings,” the first step toward requiring fundraising through Distributed Ledger, or blockchain-based tokens to register with the government.

But consider the following additional developments:

On August 1, 2017, the World Economic Forum, host body to the Davos conference of global super-elites, published a paper entitled “Four reasons to question the hype around blockchain.”

On August 7, 2017, China announced they will begin using Distributed Ledger technology to collect taxes and issue “electronic invoices” to citizens there. Perhaps most portentously, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has weighed in.

In a special report dated June 2017, the IMF had this to say about Distributed Ledgers: The IMF favors control by a “pre-selected group of participants” or “one organization,” rather than allowing “anyone” to participate.

This paper should be viewed as the first step in the IMF’s plan to migrate its existing form of world money, the SDR, onto a DLT platform controlled by the IMF.

They’re telling you exactly what their plan is. It would be foolish to ignore them, or assume the U.S. dollar will remain the global reserve currency much longer once this plan is implemented, as early as January 1, 2018.

You know the global elites’ aren’t your biggest fan. You know the U.S. dollar has been under attack.

This is the global financial elites’ plan to remove the U.S. dollar from its position of power and to attack your administration all at once.

Who do you think American’s will blame when the stock market crashes, or Social Security runs out? We can hear the talking heads already.

    Best,

    Rickards Signature

EXCLUSIVE: Gowdy Blows A Cannon-Sized Hole In The Democrats' Dossier Argument

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/11/exclusive-gowdy-wonders-if-democrats-are-fearful-trump-dossier-is-a-piece-of-fiction/

EXCLUSIVE: Gowdy Wonders If Democrats Are ‘Fearful’ Trump Dossier Is ‘A Piece Of Fiction’

Democrats are “fearful” that the Trump dossier is “a piece of fiction,” one that the FBI used to form the basis of its investigation into whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Russian government.

That’s one theory that South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy is proposing for why Democrats are pushing back so hard against a GOP effort to get answers about the dossier from the FBI and Justice Department.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, the House Intelligence Committee member addressed claims from his Democratic colleagues and some in the media that he and his fellow Republicans are attempting to discredit the dossier and its author, former British spy Christopher Steele, in order to help Trump.

“I don’t know why anyone — from [California Rep.] Adam Schiff, to Vanity Fair, to Rachel Maddow — would not be curious whether or not the world’s premier law enforcement agency relied upon a dossier in connection with an investigation without vetting it,” Gowdy told TheDC on Friday.

“For the life of me I don’t understand why they are focused on this,” Gowdy says of the Democratic pushback, “unless they are fearful that the bureau did rely on a piece of fiction.”

He was responding to Democrats’ criticism of a GOP-led effort to subpoena Attorney General Jeff Sessions and FBI Director Christopher Wray for information about the dossier. (RELATED: House Intel Chair Threatens Sessions, Wray Over Fusion GPS Dossier Claims)

Committee Republicans issued a subpoena for Sessions and Wray Aug. 24, seeking information about how central the dossier is to the collusion investigation and how it was vetted.

The agencies did not provide documents in response to the subpoena, so the committee extended a deadline until Sept. 14 while also seeking meetings with Sessions and Wray to have them explain why information about the dossier should be withheld from Congress.

Democrats on the committee — Schiff, Connecticut Rep. Jim Himes, and California Rep. Eric Swalwell — have alleged that Republicans are taking a unilateral and unnecessary step to discredit the dossier.

But Gowdy dismisses the Democrats’ complaint, telling TheDC, “I really don’t know what in the hell they’re talking about.”

Gowdy, a former federal prosecutor, says that the FBI and DOJ have ignored “months and months of requests” for information about the dossier. The agencies have largely ignored similar requests made by the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has also focused heavily on the dossier but has yet to issue subpoenas for the FBI and DOJ.

“The investigators on [the Intelligence Committee] have been trying for months to obtain documents about the dossier, but when you get no response, then you go from a polite request, to a firm request to a legal request,”
    says Gowdy.

“And if they still don’t comply with it, then we’re well within our rights — I’ve done it before — you bring in a witness and say ‘OK, you’re under oath, you need to explain to me why you don’t think you need to share this, what am I missing?'”

Gowdy tells TheDC that he does not need the FBI and DOJ to disclose the most sensitive details of the dossier — the identity of Steele’s sources and intermediaries, or how exactly the information was compiled. But he does want assurances from U.S. officials that the document was vetted. He also wants to know how much investigators have relied on the document for its investigation.

“I don’t need to know how you got the information, just tell me how you either sought to corroborate it, how you vetted it,” says Gowdy, who says he has studied the dossier twice in preparation for some interviews conducted by the committee.

“Did the FBI rely upon it? Did the DOJ rely upon it?” he asks. “If yes, to what extent, and how did you vet the sources and sub-sources in the document?”

“Before you can rely on something, you need to know where it came from and how it was either corroborated or contradicted,” says Gowdy, adding that, “it is relevant to ask whether or not a law enforcement agency relied on this dossier — or any evidence — without vetting it.”

Special Counsel Robert Mueller, a former FBI director, is directing the investigation, which is looking at possible collusion as well as any financial mis-dealings involving current and former Trump advisers.

The dossier, as has by now been widely reported, came into being last June, after Steele, a former MI6 agent based in London, was hired by an opposition research firm called Fusion GPS to investigate Trump’s activities in Russia. Fusion, which was co-founded by former Wall Street Journal reporters, was working at the time for an unidentified ally of Hillary Clinton’s.

Steele would go on to write 17 memos, dated from June 20 to Dec. 13, which lay out a series of salacious and uncorroborated allegations about Trump’s personal activities in Russian. The 35-page document alleges that the Kremlin has blackmailed Trump for years and that members of the Trump campaign were in direct contact with Russian government officials as part of a plot to sway the election.

    Trump has denied the allegations.

According to various news reports, Steele first met with FBI agents in Europe last July. Soon after, the bureau opened its investigation into possible collusion.

The dossier was also reportedly cited in the FBI’s application last September for a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court warrant on Trump campaign adviser Carter Page. (RELATED: FBI Obtained Surveillance Warrant Against Former Trump Campaign Adviser Carter Page)

Page, an energy consultant who served as a volunteer on the campaign, is accused in the dossier of working as a middleman for the Trump campaign and Kremlin operatives.

But Page, who has never met Trump, vehemently denies the allegation. He refers to Steele’s document as the “dodgy dossier.”

Maryland Judge Demands Bar Investigation Of Hillary Aides Who Helped Destroy Private Emails
    http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-09-11/maryland-judge-demands-bar-investigation-hillary-aides-who-helped-destroy-private-em

Last week the FBI denied Ty Clevenger's FOIA request for Hillary Clinton's emails due a supposed "lack of public interest."  No really...once you've manage to stop laughing, you can read our prior post on the topic here:  FBI Denies FOIA Request For Hillary Documents Due To "Lack Of Public Interest".

Alas, Clevenger isn't the type to give up so easily and managed to find a judge in Maryland who seemingly agrees that the willful destruction of evidence subject to a Congressional subpoena might not be just a "frivolous" issue that suffers from an overwhelming "lack of public interest."  As the Washington Times points out today, Maryland judge Paul Harris Jr. has ordered the Maryland state bar to investigate former Hillary aides David Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson for their efforts in allegedly helping Hillary "destroy evidence."

A Maryland judge ordered the state bar to open an investigation Monday into the three lawyers who helped former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to delete her private emails.

Circuit Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. said the complaints lodged against David E. Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were “egregious” and said the state bar couldn’t brush them aside by calling them “frivolous.”

“There are allegations of destroying evidence,” Judge Harris said at a hearing Monday morning, where he said the state’s rules require the bar to conduct investigations no matter who raises the complaint, and can’t brush accusations aside.

“I just think this is a rather easy decision at this point,” he said. “The court is ordering bar counsel to investigate.”
    Hillary

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary-shrug_0

As we've noted before, this latest success for Clevenger comes after failures with judges in both Arkansas and the District of Columbia.

Bars in Arkansas and the District of Columbia, as well as federal courts, had brushed aside requests from Mr. Clevenger, who is seeking to have the lawyers suspended or disbarred.

But Judge Harris said Mr. Clevenger’s request “appears to have merit,” and Maryland will now have to at least launch an investigation and demand a response from the lawyers, Mr. Clevenger sa
    id.

Meanwhile, who can forget the emailed response that Clevenger received from the FBI alleging that they couldn't comply with his FOIA request because he had failed to demonstrate a "public interest in the disclosure" of Hillary's emails.

“You have not sufficiently demonstrated that the public’s interest in disclosure outweighs personal privacy interests of the subject,” FBI records management section chief David M. Hardy told Mr. Clevenger in a letter Monday.

“It is incumbent upon the requester to provide documentation regarding the public’s interest in the operations and activities of the government before records can be processed pursuant to the FOIA,” Mr. Hardy wrote.

Apparently the FBI never saw this map...

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 2017.08.29%20-%20Electoral%20Map_0

For those who may have missed it, we published a rather detailed report on how Hillary's emails suddenly 'disappeared', with the help of a few loyal aides of course, just over a year ago.

The story of how Hillary's "personal" emails came to be deleted using, the now infamous, BleachBit is quite the tale.  Below we attempt to piece together how the story unfolded per the recent FBI disclosures.

Here is a quick summary of the timeline of events:

    ° February 2013
    – Hillary resigns from State Department
° Spring 2013 – Hillary aide Monica Hanley backs up Pagliano Server to Apple MacBook and a thumb drive
° February 2014 – Monica Hanley attempts to upload Hillary email archives to new Platte River Networks (PRN) server but encounters technical issues
° Early 2014 – Monica Hanley mails Apple MacBook to Undisclosed PRN Staff Member to upload Hillary email archives to new PRN server.  Undisclosed PRN Staff Member then uploads Hillary’s emails to a gmail account and then transfers them over to the new PRN server.  The Undisclosed PRN Staff Member deletes most of the emails from gmail but indvertently leaves 940.
° Early 2014 – Monica Hanley advises Undisclosed PRN Staff Member to wipe the Apple MacBook clean after uploading Hillary’s emails to the new PRN server but he forgets to do it
° Early 2014 - Undisclosed PRN Staff Member mails Apple MacBook back to Clinton and it is promptly lost
° December 2014 – Hillary delivers 55,000 emails to State Department
° December 2014 / January 2015 – Heather Samuelson and Cheryl Mills request emails be deleted from their computer using BleachBit
    ° December 2014 / January 2015
    – “Unknown Clinton staff member” instructs PRN to remove archives of Clinton emails from PRN server
° March 2, 2015 - NYT releases an article showing that Hillary used a personal email server in violation of State Department rules
° March 4, 2015 – Hillary receives subpoena from House Select Committee on Benghazi instructing her to preserve and deliver all emails from her personal servers
° March 25, 2015 – Undisclosed PRN Staff Member has a conference call with “President Clinton’s Staff”
° March 25 – 31, 2015 – Undisclosed PRN Staff Member has “oh XXXX” moment and realizes he forgot to wipe Hillary’s email archive from the PRN server back in December…which he promptly does using BleachBit despite later admitting he "was aware of the existence of the preservation request and the fact that it meant he should not disturb Clinton's e-mail data on the PRN server."
° June 2016 – FBI discovers that Undisclosed PRN Staff Member forgot to erase 940 emails from the gmail account he created to help with the PRN server upload

    And now the details...

Hillary resigned from the State Department in February 2013.  Shortly thereafter, in "spring 2013", Hillary's close aide, Monica Hanley, worked with Bill Clinton's aide, Justin Cooper, to archive all of Hillary's emails from the "Pagliano Server" that Clinton used to house her State Department emails while serving as Secretary of State.  With Cooper's assistance, Hanley was successful transferring all of Hillary's emails from the "Pagliano Server" to an Apple MacBook with a duplicate copy saved to a "Thumb Drive".

At that point, Hanley "forgot" to provide the archived emails to Clinton's staff.  So apparently the Apple MacBook and Thumb Drive just stayed around Hanley's house for a year.

Then in February 2014, Hanley decided it wasn't the best idea to leave the email records of the former U.S. Secretary of State in her sock drawer forever.  As such, she decided it was time to backup the archived emails to Clinton's new server hosted by Platte River Networks (PRN) in Denver, Colorado.  Unfortunately, she was not successful with the remote backup and mailed the computer to an Undisclosed PRN Staff Member to help with the task.

Apparently, the Undisclosed PRN Staff Member also had difficulty uploading the emails to the new PRN server because the "Apple MacMail" format was incompatible with Microsoft Exchange.  So, he/she came up with a workaround that involved transferring all of Clinton's emails to a new gmail account and then exporting them to the PRN server.

    Gmail is pretty safe, right?

    Hillary FBI BleachBit

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary%20FBI%20-%20Emailes%20Backed%20Up%20To%20Gmail_0

Monica Hanley then advised the Undisclosed PRN Staff Member to "wipe the Archive Laptop" after the emails had been transferred to the new PRN server.  But apparently he forgot to "wipe" and laptop and instead just deleted the old emails.  But wouldn't you know it..."Neither Hanely nor [Undisclosed PRN Staff Member] could identify the current whereabouts of the Archive Laptop or thumb drive containing the archive, and the FBI does not have either item in its possession."

So the two pieces of physical hardware that could provide all the missing links in the Hillary email investigation have mysteriously gone missing.  Anyone else find that odd?

    Hillary FBI BleachBit

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary%20FBI%20-%20Laptop%20and%20Thumb%20Drive%20Missing_0

Unfortunately, the "Undisclosed PRN Staff Member" was apparently not an "attention to detail" kind of guy as the FBI later discovered that he/she had left 940 of Clinton's emails on gmail.  Of the 940 emails, 56 were classified as confidential and 302 were not included in the 55,000 page data dump to the State Department in December 2014.

    Hillary FBI BleachBit

Now this brings us all the way up to December 2014 when Clinton sent the 55,000 pages to the State Department.  Recall, as Politico previously reported, Hillary brought in a former campaign staffer, Heather Samuelson (34 years old), to help determine which emails were "work related" and which "yoga related."

Shortly after providing that data dump to the State Department, in "December 2014 or January 2015," both Heather Samuelson and Cheryl Mills requested that all emails be removed from their computers using "a program called BleachBit to delete the e-mail-related files so they could not be recovered."

For her part, "Clinton stated she never deleted, nor did she instruct anyone to delete, her e-mails to avoid complying with FOIA, State or FBI requests for information."

Of course not.  Hillary knew it would be a little too obvious to specifically instruct her staff to permanently delete the emails but she also knew it might be "inconvenient" to have them around.    So, she simply "decided she no longer needed access to any of her e-mails older than 60 days."

See?  She never specifically said to delete anything she just made a simple administrative decision on document retention policies.

    Hillary FBI BleachBit

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary%20FBI%20-%20Mills%20and%20Samuelson%20BleachBit_0

Then, on March 4, 2015, Hillary received a subpoena from the House for all of her emails on her personal servers.

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary%20FBI%20-%20House%20Subpoena_0

Which brings us to the "Oh XXXX" moment.

On March 25, 2015, the Undisclosed PRN Staff Member had a "conference call with President Clinton's staff."  Apparently, in the days following that call, the Undisclosed PRN Staff Member had an "'oh XXXX' moment" when he realized he had forgotten to wipe the PRN server clean as he had been instructed to do back in December by Cheryl Mills.

Therefore, sometime within the 6 days after a call with "President Clinton's Staff," that PRN server was wiped clean using BleachBit despite the subpoena from the House Select Committee on Benghazi received weeks earlier on March 4, 2016.

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Hillary%20FBI%20-%20Oh%20Shit_0

And, of course, the Undisclosed PRN Staff Member is the only person responsible for the deletion as Mills, Hillary, President Clinton's Office were all blissfully unaware of the actions of their rogue IT guy of Platte River Networks in Denver, Colorado.

Ironically, the rogue IT guy from PRN even admits to deleting the emails even though he "was aware of the existence of the preservation request and the fact that it meant he should not disturb Clinton's e-mail data on the PRN server."

Something tells us this "Undisclosed PRN Staff Member" is not going to make out as well as Hillary when all the dust settles, which of course she can 'wipe' with a cloth:

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Empty Re: SPIES & LIES - PART 1

Post  Carol Tue Sep 12, 2017 7:35 am

South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy has had his differences with former National Security Advisor Susan Rice in the past, most notably after Rice gave false statements about the Sept. 11, 2012 attacks in Benghazi.

But Gowdy is offering up some praise of Rice following her interview with the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) last week.

“I thought she gave a very good accounting of herself, frankly, and I’d be the first to say otherwise,” Gowdy told The Daily Caller in an interview on Friday.

Rice met with the committee on Tuesday to discuss a wide range of issues related to Russian meddling in the presidential campaign.

HPSCI, of which Gowdy is a new member, is one of three congressional panels investigating Russia’s activities during the campaign. But, HPSCI is the only committee taking a close look at whether members of the Obama administration improperly revealed the identities of Trump advisers mentioned in intelligence reports compiled by U.S. intelligence officials.

Names of individuals identified in those documents are usually redacted, though a handful of government officials have the authority to reveal them through a process known as “unmasking.”

Rice has become a central figure in HPSCI’s investigation into who improperly unmasked Trump advisers and leaked their names to the media. Rice, a former ambassador to the United Nations, was identified earlier this year as one Obama administration official who requested unmaskings. The unanswered question has been whether Rice made the requests for political purposes — to undercut Trump — or for legitimate national security reasons.

Gowdy spoke carefully about Rice’s interview, but he did tell TheDC that she spoke with a “lot of specificity” about her activities as national security adviser.

“She stayed longer than she was originally scheduled to say, and I say that as a credit to her, for being willing and taking the matter seriously, and she did,” Gowdy said.

“She answered every question we had and stayed longer than she was originally scheduled to say, and I can’t say that about all witnesses,” he added.

Gowdy said that Rice was “an important witness” in the committee’s investigation, not only because she is aware of U.S. intelligence regarding Russian meddling in the presidential campaign, but she was also involved in crafting the Obama administration’s response to the Kremlin’s activities.

As more evidence has emerged about Russia’s activities last year, the Obama administration has faced heavier criticism for failing to respond more forcefully to Russian cyberattacks on the Hillary Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

Gowdy also said that it was important to speak with Rice because “she’s familiar with the process” of unmasking individuals identified in intelligence reports.

As national security advisor, Rice was one of the U.S. officials authorized to unmask the identities of people mentioned in intelligence reports.

Asked whether Rice improperly unmasked Trump advisers or disclosed classified information to the media, Gowdy said that “there was nothing that came up in her interview that led me to conclude” that was the case.

“With a lot of specificity,” Rice “denied ever being a felonious dissemination of classified material. She could not have been more clear about that,” Gowdy said.

Gowdy also said that there is documentation about who requested unmaskings and why they did so.

While Rice has receded as a candidate for the improper unmaskings, attention has recently turned to former UN Amb. Susan Power.

Last month, California Rep. Devin Nunes, the chairman of HPSCI, identified an Obama administration official, later identified as Power, as having made hundreds of unmasking requests in the final year of the Obama administration. Nunes asserted that those unmasking requests were followed by unauthorized leaks to the media.

HPSCI has sought an interview with Power and other former Obama administration officials to discuss unmasking.

CGI's Elefteria: The treacherous Deep State plot to stop Trump's inauguration
    https://realisticobserver.blogspot.com/2017/09/more-on-treacherous-deep-state-plot-to.html#.WbfaFK2ZO8W
    Date: Monday, 11-Sep-2017

    From CGI's Elefteria:

    Snip

A prior post, Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist alleges spy chiefs behind the Russian collusion meme, discussed the origin of the entire Russia issue at length.

We now have some additional details as to just how desperate the Deep State establishment was and to what lengths it would go in order to stop Trump before his inauguration.

If one enjoys spy thrillers and and coup plots, read on. I doubt that any thriller has been written to match the level of both the pre and post Trump inauguration perfidy of his enemies.
    What does that tell us?

SOURCES: Clapper Discussed Using Supreme Court Justice To Block Trump’s Inauguration
    by Patrick Howley

Obama administration Director of National Intelligence James Clapper held a meeting in his last days in office to discuss the idea of going to a Supreme Court justice to block President Donald Trump’s inauguration, according to a high-level member of the intelligence community who spoke with a Big League Politics source.

Clapper discussed blocking the inauguration on the grounds that Trump was an illegitimate president due to alleged Russian interference in the election, according to the sources.
It is not known whether Clapper ever actually convened a meeting with a Supreme Court justice to discuss the Russia case, or whether he simply discussed the idea of doing so. By the time Trump entered office on January 20, the Russia narrative was already underway.

Big League Politics recently reported on an audiotape in which Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh admitted that slain DNC staffer Seth Rich was the source for Wikileaks’ release of DNC emails in 2016, not a Russian hack. Hersh also said that Clapper and Obama administration CIA director John Brennan helped to create the Russia narrative against Trump.

As Big League Politics reported: real estate mogul Timothy Blixseth claims that he saw records from CIA and NSA whistleblower Dennis Montgomery proving that Clapper and Obama CIA director John Brennan oversaw repeated spying on the phone calls of President Donald Trump and millions of other private American citizens, including Supreme Court Justice John Roberts. Fired former FBI director James Comey received evidence from the whistleblower’s lawyer but sat on it.

In an audiotaped interview — conducted before Trump ever ran for president — Blixseth spoke to former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio and detective Mike Zullo. The audio was released in connection with a civil contempt case that the Department of Justice filed against Arpaio. The audio of this conversation appears to only be preserved in one location on the Internet, on a whistleblower Soundcloud page.

“This guy showed me 900 million phone calls. And I see myself in there. I see people I know. I see Donald Trump in there a zillion times, and Bloomberg is in there,” Blixseth said on the tape, referring to information that Montgomery allegedly showed him.
“He’s a very genius computer guy,” Blixseth said of Montgomery. “What they did is, they were actually working for the CIA. And they mask it as — I’m sure you’ll remember this — the contracts with the CIA, of which I had many copies, said that they were decoding Al-Jazeera television, said that there was broadcast embedded, remember that? Owned by Gore? Al Gore’s got part of it now. But it was all bullshit. That was bullshit. That was a front by the CIA. And this guy [Montgomery] worked for Brennan and Clapper. Those were the two guys running it,” Timothy Blixseth told Arpaio and Zullo on the tape.

“He started out in 2004 with another partner in Reno, Nevada, called eTreppid. They collected about $40 million from the CIA. Top security clearance. All kinds of letters…In 2006 they started a new company that [my ex-wife] owns, and they started doing the same business for the government. What it really turns out they were doing is they were hacking into all of America.

Big League Politics called the listed number for eTreppid Technologies, but we were told that Montgomery no longer works there. “That company closed down years ago, sir,” a representative said of eTreppid Technologies. When asked what the company is called now, the representative said, “I’m sorry, I can’t discuss any more with you.”

Blixseth claimed in his conversation with Zullo and Arpaio that Brennan and Clapper were running the operation.

“Everything they said they didn’t do, that Brennan said recently, mainly Clapper. It’s all bullshit. And I’ve got it right here,” Blixseth said.

On the explosive tapes, Blixseth walks Arpaio and Zullo through the details of the program on a computer screen. At one point, the three begin pulling up specific names of targeted individuals.

“You know who that guy is? That’s the head of the FISA court they hacked into, Reggie Walton,” Blixseth tells the investigators.
“John Roberts, the chief justice of the Supreme Court, was hacked,” Blixseth tells Arpaio and Zullo.

Insiders have always been skeptical of Roberts’ motives for siding with President Obama on the 2012 Obamacare case. While there’s still no available evidence that Roberts was blackmailed, the allegation that he was “hacked” by Obama officials provides some more context into the justice’s controversial career.

The Enemy Within Declares All Out War On The President And Fully Intends To Take Him Out
    https://realisticobserver.blogspot.com/2017/06/the-enemy-within-declares-all-out-war.html#.WbfbtK2ZO8U

The Elites and our Globalist masters are not going quietly. The present situation is not just a bunch of snowflakes, buttercups, useful idiots, and hate filled lefties throwing tantrums.

The Big Boys are now calling for the ultimate kill shot on the current presidency. All else has failed, false charges, endless investigations, etc. They are now ordering their minions to go for the throat.

In addition to the oncoming coup attempt, Conservative lawmakers are now under death threats, and those making the threats are encouraged by elected officials of the opposing party who are beholden to their masters. Ten years ago, the current situation would have been unfathomable.

Sadly, the Constitution has been successfully shredded by the previous administration, and the stage has been set for all out anarchy and chaos which will lead to martial law and a then to a takeover by the elitist lapdog UN.

However, there is an 800 pound gorilla on watch--the supporters of their president. If they choose to engage the enemy and truly throw their weight into the fray, the outcome--no matter what--will be bloody.

This nation will be divided as it has never been. If the enemy wins, a truly dystopian era will begin. Should the supporters of the president and the Constitution prevail, they must remain vigilant. Evil never rests.

The following article is an excellent read on the subject:

America: They’re Coming To Take Down Your President

For mainstream America, the FBI is the Robert Muellers and Jim Comeys—a clear and present danger that is now coming to take down America’s duly elected president
    by Judy McLeod

America: They’re coming to take down your president. They’re calling it the noble mission of an impeccably honest and above-board ‘special’ investigation, mounted by the Robert Mueller ‘Dream Team’, without anyone saying that the fix was in long before the Big Hunt got underway.

It’s an initiative whose narrative is being written by the full-of-hate Democrats in defeat, disseminated, world-wide by the mainstream media.

Find your situational awareness and be prepared to take cover because Mueller’s handpicked Dream Team is the nightmare from which it will be impossible to shake yourself awake.

The mainstream media—out to get Donald Trump since the 2016 election campaign—is cavalierly passing Mueller’s assignment off as a perfumed package, completely missing the stench of the bungled anthrax letters case under his watch as FBI director.

It defies belief that the “special counsel” leading the Dream Team is the same man who let Islamists rewrite FBI training manuals during his tenure as FBI chief. (AIM, June 17, 2017)

Nary a word from any of the cool dudes and dudettes on the Dream Team when their boss, former President Barack Obama disallowed the term “Islamist terrorism” from public use.

How much worse does it get?

Incredibly, Mueller’s Dream Team is setting off as a legalized lynch mob and bounty hunter with a whopping 61 percent of public support.

“According to a new poll from the Associated Press and the University of Chicago’s NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, 61 percent of Americans surveyed believe Trump has tried to impede or obstruct the FBI’s investigation into his campaign, while just 37 percent said they believe Trump hasn’t tried to impede or obstruct the investigation. (The Blaze, June 17, 2017)

“The poll also found there is a growing concern over the possibility that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russian operatives during last year’s election. When asked, 48 percent said they are extremely or very concerned about the possibility, up from 44 percent in March, while just 30 percent said they aren’t very concerned or not concerned at all, down from 36 percent in March.

“An overwhelming majority, 52 percent, also said they disapproved of Trump’s decision to fire Comey, while 22 percent said they approved of the decision and 24 percent said they were indifferent.”

Mercifully, the poll found that not many Americans believe special prosecutor Robert Mueller will carry out a fair and impartial investigation—and at the bottom of the report on the poll—only 26 percent believe in his ‘special counsel’.

‘Dream Team’ is a term dreamed up by the always highly imaginative MSM back in the days of the riveting O.J. Simpson trial, a misnomer that went on to prove that anything the media manufactures, like Google, gets to live forever. The still rational among us can take it to the bank that the tooth fairy is more real than Mueller’s, or anyone else’s, so-called ‘Dream Team’.

When special counsel Mueller comes back with evidence that President Donald Trump was the agent provocateur in the Russian election collusion story, or is ready to impeach due to his “obstruction of Justice” for having fired FBI Director James Comey —and Mueller will claim his mission unearthed irrefutable proof of Trump impeachable guilt—a tsunami of MSM stories will attest to Mueller’s breath-taking integrity and credibility.

That will be their story and they will stick to it.

This is a Dream Team that will come back with evidence of Trump campaign collusion with Russia, obstruction of justice—and will have the audacity to feign surprise when they do.

The Dream Team will bring in just what leaders of the Obama-led Resistance want—President Donald Trump’s head, not in a comedian’s performance art, but on the proverbial platter.

It’s a process, once started, that just cannot be denied, a win-win situation for Mueller and Company because if Trump fires Mueller as he did James Comey, he’ll automatically be found guilty of “obstructing justice”.

Former FBI Director James Comey kicked off the process when he leaked information to the New York Times all to have his close friend Robert Mueller named as “special counsel” to find evidence of a story, the Trump/Russia collusion story, already proven untrue.

Who can the heavily propagandized and constantly lied to American citizenry trust?

Not Comey. That’s for sure. He was the leaker hunting down other leakers and the man who bought into and considered paying for the filth produced by ex MI6 agent Christopher Steele who passed on a dirty dossier including the ‘Golden Shower’ mother of monstrous lies.

Few believed that Trump hired prostitutes to urinate on a bed the sacrosanct Obamas slept on at a Moscow Ritz-Carlton. But the FBI must have as they planned to pay Steele to do further research for the bureau.

It defies belief that Mueller’s Dream Team is going out gung-ho on a predetermined mission, in which they can rest assured that their former boss Barack Obama, his failed protégé Hillary Clinton and the entire Democrat team wait with bated breath for their return.

The masses who buy into the bunk that the real life FBI are like the ones they see ion popular television shows will be easy to fool when they come back to announce to the world that Hillary Clinton was right all along, the tag team of Donald and Vladimir stole the election from her.

The FBI has never corroborated or verified any of the outrageous allegations in Steele’s dirty dossier.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein gave the special counsel job to Mueller on May 17.

Lawyers with loyalties to the Democrat Party have been jumping aboard the Dream Team ever since.

“Mueller has his pick of some of the top lawyers in the country. “If you’re a prosecutor, this is what you dream of—getting on a case like this,” says Peter Zeidenberg, who prosecuted I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff. (Bloomberg, June 14, 2017)

“Among the most notable of Mueller’s early hires is Michael Dreeben, who’s argued more than 100 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and is considered an expert on whether the president can legally keep his staff communications secret.

“Another is Andrew Weissmann, former head of the U.S. Department of Justice’s fraud unit. Aaron Zebley has spent years in proximity to Mueller, most recently at WilmerHale and before that as his chief of staff at the FBI. Zebley worked as a national security prosecutor in Virginia, where at least one of the Russia-related cases was based. He was also the lead FBI agent in the case against a key Sept. 11 conspirator.

“This is an incredibly intelligent, tenacious, and thorough team,” says Tom Hanusik, a former prosecutor on the Enron Task Force.

“Regardless of your political persuasion, if you’re interested in having this resolved, you should be heartened by this kind of team.”

“Trump allies have already questioned the independence of some of Mueller’s investigators over their political donations to Democrats.

“Trump’s personal lawyer, Marc Kasowitz, is having trouble persuading people to join his defense team, according to two people familiar with his efforts. Instead, Kasowitz is leaning on his longtime partner, Michael Bowe, a prominent litigator. He also signed up Jay Sekulow, chief counsel to the conservative American Center for Law and Justice, who was dispatched to cable news shows to attack Comey’s credibility.”

It shouldn’t be Trump’s past that should be coming back to bite him. Trump arrived at the White House as an outsider and a successful businessman—and had no say in what the FBI did or didn’t do before his highly unexpected arrival.

“Robert Mueller took office as FBI director in 2001 expecting to dig into drug cases, white-collar misdeeds and violent crime. A week later was Sept. 11. (Chicago Tribune, May 18, 2017)

“Overnight, his mission changed and Mueller spent the next 12 years wrestling the agency into a battle-hardened terrorism-fighting force.

“Now, Mueller once again finds himself catapulted into the midst of historic events: The Justice Department has named him special counsel to investigate potential coordination between Russia and the Trump team during the 2016 presidential election and related matters.

Republicans and Democrats alike praised Mueller, 72, as someone widely respected for his integrity and independence.

“As FBI chief, Mueller stood alongside James Comey, then deputy attorney general, during a dramatic 2004 hospital standoff over federal wiretapping rules. The two men planted themselves at the bedside of the ailing Attorney General John Ashcroft to block Bush administration officials from making an end run to get Ashcroft’s permission to reauthorize a secret no-warrant wiretapping program.

“Republican Rep Jason Chaffetz of Utah, chairman of the House oversight committee, tweeted that Mueller was “a great selection. Impeccable credentials.”

“Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Mueller’s appointment gave him “significantly greater confidence that the investigation will follow the facts wherever they lead.”

That’s akin to saying that the mainstream media of the day follow the facts wherever they lead in this era of Fake News, Mr. Schumer.

Where is the proof that Mueller transformed the FBI into a “battle-hardened terrorism-fighting force”?

Where is the evidence that Mueller delivered on his promise to delve into “drug cases, white-collar misdeeds and violent crime?”

With violent crime multiplying every weekend in the streets of Chicago, the evidence must be in the whitewash.

The media has been cutting Mueller a break from the get-go:

“Mueller’s effort to shift the FBI’s top priority from solving domestic crimes to preventing terrorism was a daunting challenge: Even preventing 99 out of 100 terrorist plots wasn’t good enough for a traumatized nation. (CBS News, May 17, 2017)

“In response, the FBI shifted 2,000 of the 5,000 agents in its criminal programs into national security.

“Two terrorist incidents occurred toward the end of Mueller’s watch — the Boston Marathon bombing and the Fort Hood shootings. Both weighed heavily on him, he acknowledged in an interview two weeks before his departure in 2013.

“You sit down with victims’ families, you see the pain they go through and you always wonder whether there isn’t something more” that could have been done, he said.”

Did the victims’ families know that Mueller let Islamists rewrite FBI training manuals?

There was no FBI tip-off when James Hodgkinson cut loose at the Alexandria baseball practice Wednesday injuring five, including House Majority Whip, Steve Scalise.

Police often stand-down at public events where Trump supporters are assaulted.

In short, the Donald Trump administration can look to little support from the FBI in an era where violence seems to be the norm.

There may be good agents in the FBI but somehow they never get to the top.

The FBI of the present day is nothing like the ‘good guys’ viewed on television drama. For mainstream America, the FBI is the Robert Muellers and Jim Comeys—a clear and present danger that is now coming to take down America’s duly elected president.

Here is the video from Lou Dobbs Tonight:

Rumblings: Awan Brothers To Get Immunity For “Significant, Disturbing Story” About Wasserman Schultz (VIDEO)

    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/09/awan-brothers-get-immunity-significant-disturbing-story-wasserman-schultz/
With each passing day, we learn more and more about the dark and murky past of Pakistan IT staffer Imran Awan.

The former employee of Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is accused of stealing hardware from ranking Democrats and sending sensitive intel to foreign groups like the Muslim Brotherhood.

Now there are rumblings the Awans could receive immunity in exchange for dirt on Wasserman Schultz, predicts Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ).
    Zerohedge reports:

But, at least according to Congressman Trent Franks (R-AZ) who appeared on Fox News recently, there may be more to Alvi’s return than meets the eye as he predicts that the Awans could be working on a broader immunity deal with prosecutors in return for a “significant” and “pretty disturbing” story about Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

“I don’t want to talk out of school here but I think you’re going to see some revelations that are going to be pretty profound.  The fact that this wife is coming back from Pakistan and is willing to face charges, as it were, I think there is a good chance she is going to reach some type of immunity to tell a larger story here that is going to be pretty disturbing to the American people.”
“I would just predict that this is going to be a very significant story and people should fasten their seat belts on this one.”

Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) was on with Lou Dobbs recently.

IT specialist Imran Awan worked for Debbie Wasserman Schultz for thirteen years since she was first elected to national office in 2004 as a Florida representative.

She only fired him after he was arrested and would have kept paying her “IT expert” even after he fled to Pakistan.

The Awan brothers IT ring had access to emails and computer data from an estimated 800 lawmakers and staffers.

Three Pakistani brothers who managed the IT affairs for several Democratic government officials were relieved of their duties in February on suspicion that they accessed specific computer networks without permission, also known as hacking.

Imran Awan, who started working for Wasserman Schultz in 2005, received $164,600 in 2016, with close to $20,000 of that coming from Wasserman Schultz.

His brother Jamal, who started working as a staffer in 2014, was paid $157,350.12 in 2016. Abid, who started working in 2005, was paid $160,943 in 2016.

Imran’s wife, Hina Alvi, who was employed as a staffer since February 2007, was paid 168,300 in 2016. Rao Abbas was paid $85,049 in 2016.

Abid, Imran, and Jamal Awan were barred from computer networks at the House of Representatives in February.

Most of the House Members fired the Awans subsequently. Only Debbie Wasserman Schultz kept Imran Awan on the pay roll up to the day he got arrest for Bank Fraud after trying to flee the country.

The rest of the family fled since months to Pakistan along with hundreds of thousands of tax-payer money they mysteriously were able to wire.

Democrats were willing or unwillingly compromised by the Awans and Sensitive Information leaked to foreign Enemies!  (Muslim Brotherhood – Yemen Raid with dead soldier for example?) Many of them have Seats on Committees that handle highly sensitive information.

More information is coming out on Imran Awan and his criminal activities. Awan pretended to be his wife when requesting a loan from the Congressional Federal Credit Union and got it! He had the credit union wire $165,000 to PAKISTAN – no questions asked.

In public lawsuits in Fairfax County, Va., the brothers have been accused of life insurance fraud as well as fraud involving a car dealership.

Just when you thought the Awan brothers case couldn’t get anymore bizarre, the Daily Caller’s Luke Rosiak floats the idea that Imran Awan may have planted Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s laptop for Capitol Police to find. Rosiak provided background on how the laptop was discovered.

If Arizona Republican Rep. Trent Franks has anything to do with it, special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation may be coming to an abrupt end.

According to Fox News, Franks said Monday that Mueller must resign from his position as special counsel due to his close friendship with former FBI Director James Comey, whose firing this spring by President Donald Trump was the chief impetus for Mueller’s appointment by the Department of Justice.

“Bob Mueller is in clear violation of federal code and must resign to maintain the integrity of the investigation into alleged Russian ties,”
Franks said in a statement, according to The Daily Caller.

“Those who worked under them have attested he and Jim Comey possess a close friendship, and they have delivered on-the-record statements effusing praise of one another.”

Mueller’s relationship with Comey wasn’t the only reason Franks had issues with the special counsel’s investigation, either. Franks, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, said Mueller’s decision to pack the investigative team with individuals who had donated to the Democrats and/or Hillary Clinton indicated Mueller wasn’t conducting a neutral probe.

“Already, this investigation has become suspect — reports have revealed at least four members of Mueller’s team on the Russia probe donated to support Hillary Clinton for president, as President Trump pointed out. These obviously deliberate partisan hirings do not help convey impartiality,” Franks said.

“Already, this investigation has become suspect — reports have revealed at least four members of Mueller’s team on the Russia probe donated to support Hillary Clinton for president, as President Trump pointed out. These obviously deliberate partisan hirings do not help convey impartiality,” Franks said.

“Until Mueller resigns, he will be in clear violation of the law, a reality that fundamentally undermines his role as special counsel and attending ability to execute the law.”

The impartiality problem has become more prominent in criticism of Mueller as the special counsel’s net casts itself ever wider. While allegations that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia on ways to damage Hillary Clinton’s chances at the White House have either proved to be unfounded or haven’t panned out, recent reports indicate Mueller is now scrutinizing matters wholly tangential to the 2016 election.

A report by The Washington Times described Mueller as “obsessed” with financial transactions involving Trump associates and Russian oligarchs, apparently in search of evidence of money laundering. While leaks to the media about the money laundering investigation have been plentiful, less plentiful have been leaks declaiming that evidence of said activity had been discovered.

I’m sure that’s just because they’re busy and stuff.

Whether or not Mueller’s relationship with Comey has affected his willingness to look for malfeasance where it may not exist is a matter of question, and the only individual in this vale of tears who likely knows that is Mr. Mueller himself — if he’s even that self-aware.

The point, however, is that questions about his impartiality can be raised. As The Daily Caller notes, conflict of interest under federal law is, in part, defined as “a personal relationship with any person substantially involved in the conduct that is the subject of the investigation or prosecution.” That certainly exists — and that’s why Rep. Franks is right.

Now, it’s foolish to think that the words of just one representative will cause the special counsel to step aside, especially when it’s a representative who’s loathed by the left. However, if Rep. Franks is just the first voice of many, that could at least elevate the issue into the national consciousness.

    'It Was A Breach'
Awans Allegedly Funneled Dems' Data to Secret Server, Falsified Evidence To Cover It Up

EXCLUSIVE: DWS IT Guy Was Banned From House After Trying To Hide Secret Server

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/12/exclusive-dws-it-guy-was-banned-from-house-after-trying-to-hide-secret-server/

A secret server is behind law enforcement’s decision to ban a former IT aide to Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz from the House network.

Now-indicted former congressional IT aide Imran Awan allegedly routed data from numerous House Democrats to a secret server. Police grew suspicious and requested a copy of the server early this year, but they were provided with an elaborate falsified image designed to hide the massive violations. The falsified image is what ultimately triggered their ban from the House network Feb. 2, according to a senior House official with direct knowledge of the investigation.

The secret server was connected to the House Democratic Caucus, an organization chaired by then-Rep. Xavier Becerra. Police informed Becerra that the server was the subject of an investigation and requested a copy of it. Authorities considered the false image they received to be interference in a criminal investigation, the senior official said.

Data was also backed up to Dropbox in huge quantities, the official said. Congressional offices are prohibited from using Dropbox, so an unofficial account was used, meaning Awan could have still had access to the data even though he was banned from the congressional network.

Awan had access to all emails and office computer files of 45 members of Congress who are listed below. Fear among members that Awan could release embarrassing information if they cooperated with prosecutors could explain why the Democrats have refused to acknowledge the cybersecurity breach publicly or criticize the suspects.

House Democrats employed Awan and four family members for years as IT aides. After learning of the House probe, Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, frantically transferred money to accounts in their native Pakistan.

Awan and Alvi were indicted in August on fraud charges related to the transfers, but they have not yet been charged with criminal cybersecurity violations partly because some of the 45 Democrats have been passive about helping build the case, the House official said.

Each House member’s data is supposed to be stored on his own server, but Imran moved files to a computer that was only supposed to hold the files of the administrative office of the Democratic Caucus, the senior official said.

In the spring of 2016, House administrators became aware that the Awans were allegedly falsifying purchase orders. They followed the trail and found that the misconduct extended to a major cybersecurity breach.

On Jan. 24, 2017, Becerra vacated his congressional seat to become California’s attorney general. “He wanted to wipe his server, and we brought to his attention it was under investigation. The light-off was we asked for an image of the server, and they deliberately turned over a fake server,” the senior official said.

“They were using the House Democratic Caucus as their central service warehouse … It was a breach. The data was completely out of [the members’] possession. Does it mean it was sold to the Russians? I don’t know,” the senior official said.

Capitol Police considered the image a sign that the Awans knew exactly what they were doing and were going to great lengths to try to cover it up, the senior official said. The House Sergeant-at-Arms banned them from the network as a result.

The senior official said the data was also funneled offsite via a Dropbox account, from which copies could easily be downloaded. Authorities could not immediately shut down the account when the Awans were banned from the network because it was not an official account.

“For members to say their data was not compromised is simply inaccurate. They had access to all the data including all emails. Imran Awan is the walking example of an insider threat, a criminal actor who had access to everything,” the senior official said.

The executive director of the Democratic Caucus was Sean McCluskie, who was Becerra’s chief of staff and is now chief deputy attorney general of California. McCluskie did not return TheDCNF’s repeated requests for comment.

Despite Democrats’ acute awareness of the importance of cybersecurity after the Democratic National Committee’s emails appeared on Wikileaks in July 2016, the employing members have gone to great lengths to avoid condemning Awan or have said nothing about whether they checked their office data’s security following the breach.

“After being notified by the House Administration Committee, this individual was removed from our payroll. We are confident that everything in our office is secure,” a spokesman for Michigan Democratic Rep. Sander Levin told TheDCNF in February. Levin’s chief of staff Nick Gwyn refused this week to square the assessment with the secret server and Dropbox arrangement.

A spokesman for Ohio Democratic Rep. Marcia Fudge said in August that she terminated Awan after learning of the criminal investigation but claimed “there’s no indication that he stole information or did anything inappropriate.” Fudge’s spokesman would not clarify the August statement this week.

Since Fudge and other members have not acknowledged that the breach occurred, there is no reason to think they took action to investigate where their data might have gone and mitigate any harm to constituents and others.

Wasserman Schultz has acknowledged that chiefs of staff were informed that the Awans were under investigation for what she characterized as “data transfer violations.” She refused to fire Awan even after he was banned from touching official computers, and she used a May 17, 2017, budget hearing with the House Chief Administrative Officer to attack authorities for not stopping her from breaking the Dropbox rule.

“I am more than happy to admit that I use Dropbox. I have used it for years and years and years. It is not blocked. I am fully able to use it,” she said. Administrators told her they had clearly communicated the rules to IT aides, but instead of faulting Awan for not following them, Wasserman Schultz lashed out at the House for “just lobbing e-mail into a tech person’s inbox.”

The senior official said the Awans’ enterprise-scale use of Dropbox was not the casual use of a popular consumer application, but the funneling of huge quantities of data offsite where it could not be taken back by House authorities.

Becerra was one of five members who first hired Awan in 2004, his first year on the Hill. Only two of the five — Rep. Gregory Meeks of New York and Becerra — remained in office through 2016, and each of them later put two of Awan’s relatives on their payrolls as well, including his wife Alvi and brother Abid.

When Becerra became chairman of the Democratic Caucus in 2013, that office began paying Alvi $25,000 to $30,000 a year in addition to the payments from Becerra’s personal office, meaning he was responsible for far more of the payments to the Awan family than any other member.

White House Press Secretary: DOJ Should ‘Certainly’ Look At Prosecuting Comey For Leaking Memos

    http://dailycaller.com/2017/09/12/white-house-press-secretary-doj-should-certainly-look-at-prosecuting-comey-for-leaking-memos/

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said on Tuesday that the Department of Justice should “certainly” look at prosecuting former FBI Director James Comey for leaking memos he wrote after his meetings with President Trump.

“Would the president encourage the DOJ to prosecute Comey?” Sanders was asked in Tuesday’s White House press briefing.

“That’s not the president’s role. That’s the job of the Department of Justice, and certainly something they should look at,” said Sanders.

“I think if there’s ever a moment where we feel someone’s broken the law, particularly if they’re the head of the FBI, I think that’s certainly something that should be looked at.”

Sanders’ comments are an escalation in the battle between the White House and Comey, who was fired by Trump on May 9.

While in office, Comey wrote at least nine memos of his conversations and interactions with Trump. Some of the documents, which Comey turned over only after leaving the FBI, reportedly contained classified information.

Comey provided at least one of those memos to a friend with instructions to leak information from the documents to The New York Times. That document memorialized Comey’s conversation with Trump in the Oval Office on Feb. 14, the day after Michael Flynn was fired as national security adviser.

Comey claimed in the Feb. 14 memo that Trump asked him to back off of an investigation into Flynn, who was fired for misleading Vice President Mike Pence about conversations he had with Russia’s ambassador.

Trump’s interactions with Comey and his decision to fire the Obama appointee are reportedly part of the focus of an investigation being led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller.

Mueller was appointed to that role a week after Comey’s firing. For his part, Comey testified that one of the reasons he released memos of his conversations with Trump was to spur the appointment of a special counsel to oversee the Russia probe.

In Tuesday’s briefing, Sanders insisted that Trump “was 100 percent right in firing James Comey.”

“Comey by his own self-admission leaked privileged government information,” she told reporters.

“His actions were improper, and likely could have been illegal. Comey leaked memos to The New York Times…he politicized an investigation by signalizing that he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed her or other key witnesses,” she added, referring to a report out earlier this month that Comey created draft statements exonerating Clinton in the email investigation months before FBI agents interviewed her and more than a dozen other witnesses.

Judge Napolitano Explains Why AG Sessions Is Making “Terrible Decision” Not Prosecuting Hillary Clinton (VIDEO)
    http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2017/09/judge-napolitano-explains-ag-sessions-making-terrible-decision-not-prosecuting-hillary-clinton-video/

During a Tuesday appearance on Fox Business Channel’s “Varney & Co.,” legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano told Stuart Varney that he’s disappointed in his “friend” Attorney General Jeff Sessions for refusing to prosecute Hillary Clinton. Napolitano told Varney “there’s ample evidence of her guilt,” in connection to her private email investigation.

The Trump supporting Fox contributor then gave Varney an explanation as to why Sessions refuses to go over Clinton.

    Fox Business Channel reports:

A Maryland judge has order an investigation into three lawyers who reportedly helped Hillary Clinton delete her private emails.

Napolitano sees criminal charges against Clinton as unlikely at this point.

“The government has chosen not to prosecute. [Attorney General] Jeff Sessions, the Justice Department, can investigate, indict and prosecute, but they choose not to do so,” he said.

Napolitano disagreed with the decision not to prosecute, telling Varney, “I think it’s a terrible decision not to prosecute. They should prosecute Mrs. Clinton because there’s ample evidence of her guilt, and they should prosecute anybody that destroyed evidence in a criminal investigation.”

According to Napolitano, the culture in government is holding back Sessions from pursuing an investigation against Clinton.

“It’s an institutional culture in government,” he said. “We don’t want to go after our predecessors because we don’t want our successors to come after us.”

On Monday, the Maryland state bar was ordered by County Circuit Court Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. to investigate the lawyers who assisted Hillary Clinton with deleting her private emails.

    Washington Times reports:

Anne Arundel County Circuit Court Judge Paul F. Harris Jr. said the complaints lodged against David E. Kendall, Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were egregious and the state bar couldn’t dismiss them as frivolous.

“There are allegations of destroying evidence,” Judge Harris said at a hearing Monday morning.

He said the state’s rules require the bar to conduct investigations no matter who raises the complaint and can’t brush aside accusations.

The judge made the announcement a day before Mrs. Clinton releases her latest book, “What Happened,” and begins a monthslong book tour attempting to explain how she lost an election she thought she had secured.

If Judge James E. Boasberg has his way, details of Hillary Clinton’s email investigation by the FBI will see the light of day. The U.S. District Judge isn’t buying the FBI’s claim that a “lack of public interest” justifies withholding the documents.

    Washington Times reports:

A federal judge ordered the FBI on Thursday to disclose more details about how it handled its investigation into Hillary Clinton’s secret email account.

U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg said court papers describing the grand jury subpoenas the FBI obtained to compel information from Mrs. Clinton’s internet service providers can be made public.

In doing so, he overruled objections by the Trump administration that had insisted making the information public would violate grand jury secrecy rules.

“After reviewing the document in camera, the court concludes that it largely rehashes information already made public, thus obviating any need for secrecy,” the judge said.

George Webb: Day 328.1 Awan Scandal - It Wasn't Just Democrats

Bombshell Report Catches Pentagon Falsifying Paperwork For Weapons Transfers To Syrian Rebels

A new bombshell joint report issued by two international weapons monitoring groups Tuesday confirms that the Pentagon continues to ship record breaking amounts of weaponry into Syria and that the Department of Defense is scrubbing its own paper trail.

According to the report, many of the weapons suppliers — primarily in Eastern Europe but also in the former Soviet republics, including Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Ukraine — have both links to organized crime throughout Eastern Europe and spotty business records. The sheer amount of material necessary for the Pentagon program — one ammunition factory announced it planned to hire 1,000 new employees in 2016 to help cope with the demand — has reportedly stretched suppliers to the limit, forcing the Defense Department to relax standards on the materials it’s willing to accept.

One of the authors of the OCCRP/BIRN report, Ivan Angelovski, told Foreign Policy that, “The Pentagon is removing any evidence in their procurement records that weapons are actually going to the Syrian opposition." The report is based on internal US government memos which reveal that weapons shipment destination locations have been scrubbed from original documents.

EXCLUSIVE: DWS IT Guy Was Banned From House After Trying To Hide Secret Server

Newly disclosed emails expose fresh examples of "pay to play" at the Clinton State Department, a conservative watchdog group said Thursday.

The emails, from Clinton aide Huma Abedin's account, were among 1,600 documents turned over by the State Department in connection with Judicial Watch's Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.

Judicial Watch said the documents reveal Clinton Foundation friends requesting and receiving favors from the State Department.

“The emails show ‘what happened’ was that Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin obviously violated laws about the handling of classified information and turned the State Department into a pay for play tool for the corrupt Clinton Foundation,”
Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said, in a swipe at Clinton's newly released campaign memoir "What Happened." “The clear and mounting evidence of pay for play and mishandling of classified information warrant a serious criminal investigation by an independent Trump Justice Department.”

In May 2010, Clinton Foundation donor and developer Eddie Trump wrote to Doug Band, a Clinton Foundation official and former top aide to President Bill Clinton, forwarding a request for help getting the Russian American Foundation involved in a State Department program. Band forwarded the request to Abedin, asking if they can “get this done/mtg set.” Judicial Watch previously reported that the State Department paid more than $260,000 to the Russian American Foundation for “public diplomacy.”

In July 2009, Zachary Schwartz, an associate for donor Steve Bing, contacted Band requesting help on visas for Cuba for a film production crew from Bing's Shangri La Entertainment. Band forwarded the request to Abedin asking her to call Schwartz "asap." Abedin said she would. Bing reportedly donated between $10 million and $25 million to the Clinton Foundation.

Another instance was in September 2009, when chairman of futures brokerage firm CME Group and Clinton Foundation donor Terrence Duffy asked Clinton to help arrange “government appointments” in Singapore and Hong Kong. Clinton forwarded the request to Abedin, who said she would “follow up” with his secretary.

“Would like to get some more information and details so we can try to help,” Abedin wrote to Duffy’s secretary.

Duffy’s secretary replied, “We would also like some help in arranging meetings with some key govt officials in both locations, such as the Prime Minister of Singapore, and would appreciate any help you may be able to provide.”

Abedin responded on Sept. 29, 2009 that they were “happy to assist with any and all meetings” and that she had “discussed you and your trip with our assistant secretary of state for east Asia and pacific affairs.”

Duffy reportedly gave $4,600 to Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign, and his company reportedly paid Clinton $225,000 for a speaking fee.

Other documents show Clinton received “proposed questions” in advance of a “Global Press Conference” in 2009 from seven foreign reporters, among other communications among Clinton, Abedin and other State Department aides.

On Feb. 12, 2009, a Clinton speechwriter, Case Button, asked Abedin if her mother would be willing to give him advice on talking points he was preparing for Clinton for her town hall meeting at Dar Al Hekma, a women’s university in Saudi Arabia. Abedin’s mother has been considered a controversial Islamist activist.

“Talk to my mom for sure. She will have good points for you,” Abedin replied.

Abedin’s mother, Saleha Abedin, offered advice for Clinton’s speechwriter: “Do not use political terms such as ‘democracy/elections/freedom.’ Do not use the term ‘empowerment of women’ instead say ‘enabling women’ Do not even mention driving for women! Don’t sound sympathetic to ‘women’s plight’ or be ‘patronizing’ as other visitors have done and made the students extremely annoyed. They rightly consider these as in-house issues.”

Clinton’s speech reportedly did not reference any of those topics.

The new documents contain classified information, and also show personal opinions of other Obama administration officials.

On a trip to Mexico in January 2011, Abedin emailed Clinton that Vice President Joe “Biden is a disaster here.”

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Empty Re: SPIES & LIES - PART 1

Post  Carol Thu Sep 14, 2017 11:37 am

Sen. Lindsey Graham threatened Thursday to subpoena James Comey, in the latest escalation in Republicans’ effort to haul back the former FBI director to Capitol Hill so he can address alleged discrepancies in his testimony about the Hillary Clinton email case.

“He’s coming one way or the other,” Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”

Asked if he would subpoena Comey should he not testify voluntarily, Graham said: “I would, yes.”

Comey is back under the congressional microscope after details emerged of interviews with FBI staffers suggesting the former bureau boss drafted an exoneration statement for Clinton weeks before interviewing her and ultimately recommending against charges in the email case.

Comey has not publicly addressed the claims, but they would appear to be at odds with some of his statements to Congress – and the notion that he could have drafted such a statement before the case was closed has fueled Republicans complaints all the way up to the White House about the handling of the investigation last year.

“We now know that he had made up his mind to exonerate her before he even interviewed her, which is a bit odd,” Graham said.

The senator noted that Comey testified earlier this year he spoke out on the Clinton case in July 2016 out of concern for the impartiality of the investigation after then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch met with former President Bill Clinton on an Arizona tarmac. Graham said Comey also told people the real reason he jumped into the case was he thought the Russians had an email between the Democratic National Committee and Justice Department “trying to rig the Clinton investigation.”

The ex-director also told a House committee last year he made the decision to recommend against charges after Clinton was interviewed.

“I can’t make sense of this,” Graham said. “I’m very suspicious of the timing. I’m very suspicious of the reason.”

He added, “There is so much to be determined here. Comey needs to come back. What was his real reason for clearing Hillary Clinton? Had he made up his mind before he even talked to her?”

Graham spoke to Fox News one day after it was revealed the Justice Department will not allow FBI staffers to talk to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

In a letter, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ranking Member Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., that FBI officials James Rybicki and Carl Ghattas will not be provided for interviews.

The DOJ seemed to cite concerns about interfering with the ongoing special counsel probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

But Rybicki, a former Comey chief of staff, and another bureau official also were the individuals whose interviews with the Office of Special Counsel pointed to Comey drafting an exoneration statement in advance.

Grassley and Feinstein have been trying to get access to Rybicki and Ghattas since July, wanting to question them about Comey’s controversial firing by President Trump and other issues.

The White House is also turning up the heat on Comey, with Press Secretary Sarah Sanders saying Tuesday the DOJ should consider prosecuting him for various alleged “improper” actions. Sanders said the former FBI director “politicized an investigation by signaling he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed her or other key witnesses.” On Wednesday, she homed in on Comey’s acknowledgement that he leaked his own notes about conversations with the president.

Sanders said, “Leaking FBI memos on a sensitive case, regardless of classification, violates federal laws including the Privacy Act, standard FBI employee agreement and non-disclosure agreement all personnel must sign. I think that’s pretty clean and clear that that would be a violation.”

House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., speaking with “America’s Newsroom,” voiced some frustration with the White House’s approach to its Comey concerns.

“If you have evidence of a crime, instead of sharing it with a gaggle of reporters, share it with the people who can actually do something about it, that would be my advice,”
    he said.

But Gowdy went on to blast Comey, saying it’s “beyond dispute that he made up his mind not to charge Secretary Clinton before he interviewed her.”

He said the new revelations suggest “he may well have made up his mind before he interviewed the last dozen witnesses.”

“There’s sufficient factual basis to bring him in and ask him, 'when did you make up your mind that you were not going to charge Secretary Clinton?'”
    Gowdy said.

Comey had been at the center of not only an Office of Special Counsel investigation but a Justice Department inspector general probe over the FBI’s handling of the Clinton case.

    SPIES & LIES - PART 1 - Page 38 Empty Re: SPIES & LIES - PART 1

Post  Carol Thu Sep 14, 2017 11:42 am

The Justice Department is refusing to let top FBI staffers be interviewed by Senate investigators, who want to ask questions about details surrounding the controversial firing of former FBI director James Comey and other issues.

In a letter obtained by Fox News, Assistant Attorney General Stephen Boyd told Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Ranking Member Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., that top FBI officials James Rybicki and Carl Ghattas will not be provided for interviews.

The DOJ seemed to cite concerns about interfering with the ongoing special counsel probe into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.

"As a threshold matter, the scope of the Committee's inquiry has not been de-conflicted with Special Counsel [Robert] Mueller's investigation," the letter said. "… Therefore, in order to protect the integrity of the Special Counsel's investigation, as we have previously indicated, we will not be able to provide Mr. Ghattas or Mr. Rybicki for interviews at this time."

One of those officials, Rybicki, has been in the spotlight lately after partial interview transcripts emerged in which the former Comey chief of staff and another bureau official suggested Comey had started drafting an exoneration statement for Hillary Clinton in the private email investigation weeks before she was interviewed.

The claims, which emerged in interviews by the Office of Special Counsel and were disclosed by members of the Judiciary Committee, prompted some GOP lawmakers to question Comey’s past statements to Congress.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told Fox News last week he wants to haul back Comey to Capitol Hill; Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, said Monday that Comey “absolutely” should be brought back to testify.

The claim of an exoneration statement raised concerns for Ratcliffe, because the congressman seemed to get a different explanation from Comey during a September 2016 hearing before the House Judiciary Committee. At the time, Ratcliffe asked Comey whether he made the decision not to recommend criminal charges against Clinton before or after she was interviewed by the FBI in early July.

    “After,” Comey said.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders also said Tuesday the DOJ should consider prosecuting Comey for various alleged “improper” actions. Sanders said the former FBI director “politicized an investigation by signaling he would exonerate Hillary Clinton before he ever interviewed her or other key witnesses.”

But Trump, for his part, faced intense criticism for his handling of the Comey firing earlier this year, including accusations from Democrats that he was trying to muffle the Russia meddling probe – which later was taken over by the special counsel.

Grassley and Feinstein repeatedly have asked for the two senior FBI officials to come before the committee, only to be turned down – and made clear from the start they had questions about Comey’s removal.

The Senate Judiciary Committee originally asked in July to interview Rybicki and Ghattas, who is with the FBI's national security branch. The senators subsequently agreed to limit the scope of their request, reiterating that they had questions about Comey’s firing, but were rebuffed by DOJ.

The two officials could have unique insight about Trump’s views and actions toward Comey.

Asked about the latest letter, the Department of Justice referred Fox News to the Office Special Counsel, which declined to comment.
