Thanks to Richard Morton of the University of Sheffield for providing the sound of the sun. Funny thing is the sun never shows in Sheffield!

The sound of the sun is looped in the background and to make a continuous drone which is overlaid with atmospheric synthesizer.
Ive set it to free download..a little pressie for the Misted ones. and yes, Avalonians may download it to..apart from gastrat who is banned. oh go on then

EARTH-DIRECTED SOLAR FLARE: On Feb. 13th at 1738 UT, sunspot 1158 unleashed the strongest solar flare of the year so far, an M6.6-category blast.

The eruption produced a loud blast of radio waves heard in shortwave receivers around the dayside of our planet. In New Mexico, amateur radio astronomer Thomas Ashcraft recorded these sounds at 19 to 21 MHz
