Yeh Jester good on you...2/3's of Canadians polled reject this deal...signing our natural resources over to China for 31 odd years considering how Canada's trade investments in China are only about 4.6 billion as opposed to Chinese investment in Canada which is about 13 plus billion.

I've been fighting this deal along with many other Canadians...if the Treaty is ratified in Parliament that means China will have Canada on a "ball and chain" at the municipal, provincial, and federal level. If they don't receive the profits they expect from their business investments in Canada they can sue all levels of government behind closed doors without the public informed of our government's arguments on our behalf....taxpayers will be on the hook for what goes down...provincial governments will have no say in arbitration court proceedings which will take place outside their jurisdiction.

Since Chinese corporations have a big stakehold in enterprises like the Northern Gateway pipeline and the tarsands development in Alberta you can imagine what is going to happen if they don't get the profit rewards they expect if the oil pipeline deal in British Columbia is rejected. They talk about jobs for Canadians in the oil and gas industry which is a bunch of BS!! China is bringing in its own workers for the mining industry here in B.C. at half or less the wages Canadian unionized workers would receive.

The whole affair makes me sick...Canada is going down the toilet with Harper at the helm.
