Allright folks, I think I have stumbled into something either slightly conspiratorial, a victim of mainstream editors, or everyone is missing the true significance here, and it is just not getting put out there...
If you watch any science documentaries, or Ancient Aliens, you may know of Gobekli Tepe. This is a hill in SW Turkey where they have discovered an entire complex of stone structures that seem to be at least 12,000 years old. This is MUCH older than the Fertile Crescent, otherwise believed to be the origin of our civilization...so some may want to supress this...
The last paragraph of this article is of particular intrest: http://www.guardian.co.uk/science/2008/apr/23/archaeology.turkey
Now, I have done quite a bit of searching for this said photo, then that turned into ANYONE ELSE mentioning it....I have come up empty handed...This is actually Wikipedia's ref page, but then it's a dead end after that...
It could be that the photo is an instant, thusly off the grid.
But not to be able to find any other mentions of it is very strange to me. And apparently I am not alone:

Being able to see the Sphinx of Gobekli Tepe seems important to me. I want to compare it to the ones at Giza, not to mention that it is much, much older.
So if anyone would care to see if they come across something solid on this, I think all of us would benefit somewhat from such knowledge. Plus I reeeeeely want to see this photo!
In advance: Thanks!

Vecihi Ozkaya, the director of a dig at Kortiktepe..."Look at this", he said, pointing at a photo of an exquisitely carved sculpture showing an animal, half-human, half-lion. "It's a sphinx, thousands of years before Egypt. South-eastern Turkey, northern Syria - this region saw the wedding night of our civilisation."
