Do you feed birds?

I like feeding birds and recently decided to have an erection . That is to say a bird table erected on the balcony.

They love it and there is something highly enjoyable about watching birds land on your table and munch away.

As we come from different parts of the planet I was wondering what kind of birds you get in your garden and when.

I have a gang of blue Xxxx who love peanuts followed by sunflower seeds. There are great Xxxx also. The chaffinches are a very shy and tend to feed on the bits that drop to the ground from the Xxxx, they very rarely land on the table. Robins do and the fat greedy wood pigeons will eat about 20 peanuts in one minute.

I was thinking about installing a lavatory for them.

ps. One thing they do need just as much as food in the winter months is water as it freezes over elsewhere

I would love to hear your bird stories.

Photos are hard to take as they are so quick and I don't have a decent camera with me just no.

we have eagles; hawks, ravens, crows; red headed wood peckers
flickers - which have beautiful yellow feathers
and; almost every kind of bird you can imagine

i feed them, front and back - and, out at the camp too

and, lots of owls too

I have flowers growing in my balcony. I use them to refresh flowers for Krsna. Hummingbirds are often enjoyers of the nectar. They are like little motors, suddenly appearing and i would not say they fly, they 'drive'. lol if they are on the spot, you can observe their colors, long beak. They are cute and tiny. However it is imposible to see their wings. They move their wings too fast.
Sometimes hundred of crows appears in our huge tree. They never bring peaceful feelings. I can not forget the biography of Van Gogh where he lived in a ranch surrounded by big trees daily full of thousands of crows. I really think his surroundings were disturbed.

Flickers...never heard of that one before-is it a cross between a dolphin and a chocolate bar (flippers/snickers)?

Sounds great. The closest thing we kind to that around here is a couple of astonishing kites that circle the afternoon sky each day. Awesome.
