The White House released a statement about human contact with extraterrestrials over the weekend (see what they said). The statement was released after petitions posted on WhiteHouse.Gov/wethepeople asking for the release of information about alien encounters (find one of them) gained enough signatures.

Aliens might exist, but the U.S. government swears it knows nothing about them.
That's the official response the White House offered up to a pair of petitions on its "We the People" website demanding the Obama administration come clean about extraterrestrials.
"Thank you for signing the petition asking the Obama Administration to acknowledge an extraterrestrial presence here on Earth," said Phil Larson, who works on space policy and communications at the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy.
"The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet," he wrote on the official White House website, "or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race."
Larson did, however, add that this doesn't mean aliens do not exist.
