When this happened last night I had several emails from worried members asking me what was going on waiting for me when I got back from the pub.
Theres not much I can do really as im nothing to do with the running of things here.

What is clearly needed is a communication network for when this happens on a permenant basis.
Yesterday was a heavy day and this forum has a handful of nasty little members (yes we know who you are)interfering as they are on other related forums now on top of everything else. Just look what a few hours of no misits can do.

When sites are taken away permenantly and the internet is unrealiable or non existent, where are peole going to go for their information. I think It would be good if each member had url for an alternative site to covene whilst there is a web plus they may want to share contct details or be at the risk of being isolated in more ways than one.

If this happens again I suggest you visit the old forum as a temp measure as I have it in mothballs for just that purpose

I would say that the internet would soon be unreliable though and you should begin to think about other ways of communicating sooner rather than later otherwise you will be caught with your pants down.

There is also a mists facebook page.

Still somewhat confused about the mirror or alternate site if this forum goes down and I know others are too....is it www.themistsofavalon.info

Exactly. The first thing I did (after I asked few members privately if they knew what's going on) was to visit the forum at the heavenforum directly (the same link that SG provided on PC Forum, which I had also bookmarked too).

The FB page was an alternative too as well as the old forum located on invisionplus, but the problem was solved in the meanwhile

So having these 3 alternative URL is not a bad idea at all.

Thanks Floyd not a Facebook fan although I've made a note of the 2 other alternate sites...if those don't work then we'll just have to rely on telepathy however Carol also mentioned something about mass emailings (if we have an internet now and in the future).

I see I remained logged in over night. The site crashed on me right after the earthquake post, and during an attempt at another. Immediately after, while downloading quake graphics, 7 viruses (viri) attempted to attack my computer, at the same time. eep!

I also had major viruses detected...and it was the usgs site or YouTube, because that's all I linked to online for the past two days. Like HigherLove, I had remained logged into this forum overnight (inadvertently). I think it's the earthquake site. But what do I know, it could be coincidental. Linda

Things I write about here become local news. It is freaky, but not scary, if that makes sense. :op

Yeah, there are no coincidences. Do tell when you figure out the source of this virus. It would be easy to target the earth changes watchers. Or, are they targeting the scientists and science reporters themselves? It would be easy to get defensive and paranoid these days. Or it just could be some crazy person. We may never know. I won't be too excited about going to the usgs site especially because we know their data is being re-mixed, so to speak. Why are there missing quakes, and why are the mag numbers lowered for every quake over 4.0? This is not my scientific report, just my observation over the past three months or so. The site headquarters would make a good news story...we should try to get an interview. I'd like to know who is the final data person and who gives the orders. Speaking of quakes, there has been enough activity in N. Georgia to create mudslides closing roads, and now a major road is closed due to a mountain rockslide. When quakes come up in my area, they are removed from the data within hours. What is up wid dat? Linda

hmmm, I've never had a problem and am logged in for hours and hours.

Merc didn't purchase the certificate identifying Mists as a safe site but the site is okay and you just need to click it's ok when the notice comes up.

I'm currently at the San Francisco Airport and will be making a connecting flight to Seattle in an hour.. and I can check back in here when I get to Seattle.. and before catching my
fourth flight within 13 hours onto Walla Walla. Jet lag doesn't even begin to cover it.

I hope that clears up the confusion as a certian type of notice popped up for another member once and he just clicked it was a safe site.

I am wondering what the underlying problem you two are having. I know Dutch Sinse is under attack as youtube is trying to remove his videos and this was after HAARP took down their site off the net. There were a number of us monitoring HAARP and being caught with their pants down isn't too cool.

We really are too small of a forum for anyone to worry about the news we post as it is all public information to begin with.

I was having problems to access the mists this morning too. It was just not there. After an hour, at about 10am CET, I was able to access the mists again.

What ever the reasons were...

In Seattle now waiting for my next flight to Walla Walla. Left Hawaii at 8:30pm last night and the weather was a balmy 80 with a beautiful full moon. Seattle is a crisp 42 degrees with puffy clouds and blue sky.

I've not a clue what happened to MIsts but please keep both links as I tend to aways use the heavenforum these days given my ancient computer settings. Maybe when Merc gets a chance to check it he will have an idea of what happened.

Indeed, Troy.. next time we'll take in a show and do the tourist thingy. I've never done 4 planes.. connecting flights with different airlines and having to get new boarding passes at all of them. Honolulu I had to take a tram to a different terminal. The bigger airports have different levels that can leave one wandering around looking lost because they are. And Seattle's gates are a combination of numbers and letters.

At least this is the last connection as my brother will meet me at the next airport... that is if he can figure out how to get there. ack He said he had GPS.. thank you god for small favors.

This is true, but if the PTB/PTW knew of our collective power to counterbalance the negative, it could be cause for concern. I have no doubts in the ability of our intentions to change the world. Must have been that the Server was just unavailable from some places for awhile and It likely had nothing to do with Forumotion.

Glad to see everything got resolved. I had wondered where our server is from as I thought we are in Canada and was watching all of that very nasty weather and flooding in the Mantoba area.

Just to let folks know.. safely on the ground again at moms. And anyone taking that small plane flight over the mountians from Seattle to Walla Walla - they serve free complimentary beer and Merlow to take the edge off of the bumby ride. It was mellow time when we landed.

Thanks you two. Lets just say I can't go out in a tank top and not notice it is cold out mudra. Blue sky and clouds.. and warm in the sun. Lee sent me some excellent info on radiation which I wasn't sure if he got it from here or elsewhere but I just sent it out to my email list.
