You have to check the radiation maps for Europe Emonkey and decide from there.
You'll need to go through the various articles posted here to know how much , when and how .
I am personnally in favor of seaweeds, miso, clay and Niacin ( if I can find some ) as I know this product best.
Remember Potassium dioxyde will only help the thiroid gland not the other areas of the body.

[CH 8] SCROLL TO AND READ LAST SECTION AND RELAY IT !

    [link http://www.oism.org/nwss/s73p919.htm ]

Filtering through earth removes essentially all of the fallout particles and more of the dissolved radioactive material than does boiling-water distillation, a generally impractical purification method that does not eliminate dangerous radioactive iodines. Earth filters are also more effective in removing radioactive iodines than are ordinary ion-exchange water softeners or charcoal filters. In areas of heavy fallout, about 99% of the radioactivity in water could be removed by filtering it through ordinary earth. p.73

    -----------------------------------------------------------
There is also a great write up from the Dec 28 , 1966 Chicom Nuclear Test, and THE FACTS ABOUT FEAR OF RADIOACTIVE IODINE !

    [link to http://www.oism.org/nwss/s73p929.htm ]

It produced fallout that by January 1, 1967 resulted in the fallout cloud covering most of the United States. This one Chinese explosion produced about 15 million curies of iodine- 131 - roughly the same amount as the total release of iodine- 131 into the atmosphere from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster.

I have the KIO3 Tabs - Potassium Iodate (Not KI the Iodide version)
I have also kelp tabs, French Green Clay and Niacin, but Miso I do not have. However, Miso has Vit K2 which I also have in tabs but can't see how these other things help really - apart from the clay - which I melt in chocolate to disguise the taste and like a spoonfull of sugar, it helps the medicine go down :-)

I have now started taking KIO3 today as my eyes were stinging earlier. I don't think that bodes well.

    Best Practices for Radiation Protection

    From Mike Adams

Significantly increase your intake of iodine-containing foods and superfoods starting right now: Seaweeds are a great source. We’ve listed our entire inventory of what we have available at our store, but I would actually prefer you to go out and get this locally TODAY at your local health food stores, where possible. You may not have time to wait on a UPS delivery. Fortunately, our store ships from Ojai, California, meaning that if you order foods from us today that are in stock, and you’re in California, you could receive them very, very quickly (within 1-2 business days).

Real Time Japan Nuclear Fallout Radiation Graphs For US West Coast Cities

    http://blog.alexanderhiggins.com/2011/03/19/realtime-epa-japan-nuclear-fallout-radiation-graphs-west-coast-cities-9228/

With the current news that nuclear fallout radiation from Japan has hit the US the US Government has put real time radiation monitoring data online.

Per the usual, just like with the BP spill when the Government puts information online they bury it so deep it’s very hard to find. Then once you do find what you are looking for it takes a month worth of Sundays to get through it all.

So I made an application that generates thumbnails of all of the real time Japan nuclear radiation monitoring data for the major US west coast cities every three hours 15 minutes and posts them right here. (After watching Fairbanks Gamma Graph from jump from 1,000 CPM to over 30,000 CPM in just minutes my initial assumption that these graphs were slow moving and discernible differences would take hours was proven incorrect. I now see the graphs and thumbnails will show spikes much faster than I anticipated).

Radiation : safety measures - Page 3 Empty Radiation Solutions

Post  LeeEllisMusic Wed Mar 30, 2011 10:16 am

Merc, Carol, if there's another thread on this please feel free to move this :)
    ********************

Sent to my e-mail list this am~

For the good news first, I re-print the solutions here in the text of this post.
The article includes this, but starts out with the fearful realities...
I prefer to begin with the hope I love you

See full article at this link:
    http://doctorapsley.com/RadiationTherapy.aspx

    PS
I now take Daily: Chlorela (Tablets or Powder), Kelp tablets and Nova Scotia Dulce tablets.
Also a good multi vitamin as well as NAC, Co-Q 10 and Vitamin E
Miso soup, seaweed and leafy greens are good too.

These are all healthy for long term use in avoiding uptake of ongoing low dose radiation.

I have heard NOT to take Potassium Iodide - unless you are in an evacuation zone and even then for no longer than 10 days. Can have really bad side effects.
(I'm not a doctor, but I did play one on TV :)

Remember, the mainstream media will tell you all this incoming radiation is like a few CAT scans, not to worry, etc... Nonsense.
The radiation coming from Japan will be breathed in and ingested INTERNALLY - a horse of a different color.
Be wise and be prepared, but not in fear.

    Blessings...

    Love & Light,
    Lee

    SHORT TERM ANTIDOTES:

    1. N-Acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) is the most powerful short term quencher of ionizing radiation. It is a nutrient, a simple amino acid from protein. For adults (weighing above 150lbs) , it may be taken in dosages of 500mg to 600mg daily for protection from toxic metals and other poisons. For younger adults weighing 100lbs to 149lbs, 400mg to 500mg daily affords adequate protection in most situations. In children weighing less than 100lbs, but above 50lbs, 200mg daily is a suitable dose. For infants, toddlers or children weighing less than 50lbs, 50mg to 100mg daily may be used in juice, as long as no sensitivity to NAC arises (i.e., light skin rashes). In this manner, NAC may be used daily on an indefinite basis, as it is a harmless amino acid our bodies will use to establish antioxidant defenses and aid the immune system. It is also an adequate remover (i.e.,chelator - from the Greek which means that which "grabs onto or claws into") of toxic metals from the body, such as radioactive cobalt and directly and indirectly uranium.44, 45, 46 Uranium is quite stubborn about exiting without a fight and could require baking soda to speed things up - see references at very end of page - plus melatonin.23 Liver protection from fall-out radioisotopes like uranium, plutonium, etc... is nicely accomplished via combining NAC + Sea Vegetables (see next) + Melatonin + Selenium + small amounts of baking soda (see number 7 below for all advisories). Lastly - rarely some adults are sensitive to NAC, so be aware of special advisories regarding its long term use. In those cases, use high-quality Whey products.6, 7

    2. Iodide is also a first line of defense mineral supplement, since it can out-compete radioactive iodide from entering into our bodies.11 Kelp and other seaweeds are also excellent chelators of toxic metals from the body, especially if high fiber intake is also being incorporated into the diet.9, 10, 83, 84
Despite misinformation to the contrary, if you have no known allergy to shellfish or iodide, rationale supplementation with iodide can be a good thing. For average size adult women, daily Thyroid needs amount to 50mcg alone, while breast tissues, ovaries and other tissues collectively require up to 3000mcg daily. For men, their intake should be at least 1,000mcg daily, unless they are sensitive to the mineral.74, 75, 76 Eclectic physicians may use up to ten times or more of the female dose to treat chronic fatigue and advanced Fibromyalgia with great success,77 as well as to detoxify out of the system the toxic halides bromide, chloride and fluoride.78
For example, individual tablets of Kelp, Irish Moss or Dulse typically contain on average 200mcg of iodine. So, 5 tablets taken at once may equal 1,000mcg of iodine. If 5 tablets are taken at each meal, then the daily dose of iodine from these sources alone would approach 3,000mcg daily. However as referenced above, building up slowly to this level is essential, as iodine tends to rinse out toxic body burdens of toxic fluoride, bromide and chlorine if present. Therefore, when high levels of iodine are taken too quickly without building up to optimal levels, these toxic elements may exit en mass too quickly causing skin rashes, minor hair loss, or very rarely even asthmatic reactions. Eclectic physicians will neutralize this sensitivity with up to 3,000mg daily of Vitamin C.79 But by simply discontinuing the supplement for several days, skin or hair issues should quickly clear up on their own. But if you do experience anything more dramatic, check in with your doctor right away. So always increase slowly and according to tolerance to avoid getting into this kind of situation to begin with. Remember, iodine is an essential nutrient our bodies must have every day to make adequate levels of essential hormones.

If sensitivities to iodine do surface, and then clear after discontinuing, and you want to resume taking iodine supplements, check in with your doctor and see if he or she will allow you to begin taking 3,000mg of Vitamin C daily, and then give you the go-ahead to start with very small iodine of iodine daily (1/4 tablet daily). Slowly work up to a maximum of 1 tablet daily, and report to your doctor if your tolerance to iodine at this level of intake is secure. Gradually over time, most folks can up their dosage in this manner, although more slowly than other people. Several months down the road, one initially sensitive may find themselves able to take 400mcg to 1,000mcg daily if patience rules the process. In the rare event any intake of iodide causes resumption of symptoms, including minor hair loss, substitute Chlorella or Spirulina below.

    3. Chlorella (and other blue green algae) is a superior protector and chelator of radioactive metals from the body and contains no less than 20 superior neutralizers to radioactive poisons. 5 per meal (250mg each or 1250mg per meal) is a great dose for adults, 3 per meal for young adults and children, and 1 per meal for the very young. Make sure the Chlorellabrand you buy has the outer cell wall "cracked" for best absorption. More may be taken, but it is suggested to never exceed 40 tablets daily for adults. Spirulina is a very acceptable cheaper alternative, although the taste is more objectionable for children.3, 4, 29

    4. High quality bone meal (rich in Calcium & Strontium Hydroxyapatite) will also protect against radioactive strontium poisoning and penetration of uranium into bone. 3 per meal as labeled is suggested for adults, young adults and children, and 1-2 per meal for the very young.12

    5. Natural Vitamin E Complex - To stop cell membrane destruction. 800iu per day is an excellent dose for average adults, and 400iu per day for young adults and children. Toddlers and infants may be given 100iu per day in juice. (Side Note: Krill Oil, CoQ10(H) and Melatonin are more powerful than Vit. E, but also more expensive. See below...)

    6. Consuming High fiber and seaweed dishes on a regular basis must be used to maximize the best effects of the above tools. These will help insure removal (chelation) of toxic radioactive metals from the body.

    7. Baking soda - Should be taken only on rare occasions, that is, only if exposures to uranium or plutonium can be confirmed, even in trace amounts, for your area. Baking soda is an efficient means to remove these metals quickly (especially uranium). There are several medical conditions which contradict taking baking soda, so be sure you have doctor's clearance before consuming baking soda. Taking baking soda once weekly should pose no health threat if no other medical conditions are present which require restriction of sodium intake. For adults with no medical contraindications, and who have good reason to believe they have been exposed to traces of radioactive fall-out, especially uranium, taking 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 1 cup water or juice up to seven (7) times daily on an empty stomach - on one day out of every seven days - may be warranted. If you have a day of fasting each week, or one of light eating, this would be the perfect day to perform this procedure; but again, only if it has been confirmed you were likely exposed to extremely low levels of the radioactive heavy metals such as uranium. Please see the long list of abstracts regarding baking soda as an effective chelator of radioactive elements at the very end of this document).14, 15

    LONG TERM ANTIDOTES (for maintenance):
    Bone Meal (protects against radioactive Strontium-90);
    Chlorella (protects against most radioactive metals);
    Kelp (protects against radioactive iodide and other radioactive metals);
Pectin from fruits and jams - sugar-free & artificial sweetener-free (protects against Cesium-137);83
Probiotics - several billion per capsule per meal (protects against radioactive Strontium-90).16, 17

    Purchase radiation stickers here: http://www.jplabs.com/sticker.html

    http://www.jplabs.com/flyer%20radsticker.pdf

Why we need to carry a dosimeter: People and governments around the world are concerned about incidents, such as terrorist attacks using a dirty bomb or a small nuclear device, an accident at a nuclear power plant (e.g., Chernobyl, Ukraine) and mishandling of a radiation source (e.g., Goiania, Brazil)1,2,3,4,5,6. Such incidents could cause wide spread panic, massive disruption of our lives and worried about the exposure to radiation. Problem with radiations is that they can’t be seen, smelled or felt and can cause cancer, injuries or deaths. Hence, affected people want to know their radiation exposure immediately, “Did I receive a lethal exposure to ionizing radiation, will I be OK or will I develop cancer in future?”. First responders (military, police, firefighters, medical personnel, etc.) need to quickly assess radiation exposure among the affected to ensure that treatment is first provided to those who need it the most. RADSticker, a member of SIRAD® (Self-Indicating Instant Radiation Alert Dosimeter) family of dosimeters answers those questions instantly and cheaply. Carry a RADSticker to instantly know your exposure to harmful dose 24/7.

A FEW MINUTES OF RADIATION TRAINING

Only basic information & steps are provided here. Additional information and actions on these complex matters are provided in the references cited.

Basic information: Avoid unnecessary exposure to ionizing radiation (e.g., gamma or X-rays); in large enough amounts they can cause cancer, injuries and death. Diagnostic dosages (chest X-rays = ~0.05 rad/0.5mSv and CT scan = ~1 rad/10 mSv) are considered acceptable risks (except for fetus and children)7,8,9. Public is advised to limit their exposure to 5 rad/50 mSv per year and 25 rad/250 mSv for lifetime and emergency workers to 50 rad/500 mSv10,11. There are no symptoms or medical treatment below ~50 rad/500 mSv exposure. Contact an emergency room if exposed to dosages higher than 50 rad/500 mSv. Depending upon the dose and the dose period, nausea, vomiting and hair loss are usually the early symptoms after receiving radiation doses above 100 rad/1,000 mSv12,13. If you are contaminated go to the nearest place and take a shower.

Nuclear bomb explosion: If you hear a huge explosion and/or see an extremely bright flash, drop and cover yourself for a few minutes. Keep eyes closed. Dangerous level of radioactive materials can fall (fallout) over a few tens of square miles. The fallout from the explosion looks like sand, ash or grit. Fallout loses 90% of its radioactivity every 7 hours, 99% in 2 days and 99.9% in 2 weeks, so stay indoors far from outside and behind heavy materials14,15,16,17,18,19.

Dirty bomb/RDD: The major objectives of a radiological dispersion device (RDD) are to cause panic, worry and mass disruption. The radioactivity of the barely noticeable fallout is likely to be very low and limited to a few miles. While the area may be deemed unlivable, barely a few people may get doses higher than 5 rad/50 mSv. There is no need to panic20,21,22,23,24,25.

Accident at a nuclear power plant/reactor: If it is a minor radiation leakage, it is extremely unlikely you will receive a harmful dose. If the accident is major/serious, e.g., a meltdown (as that of Chernobyl nuclear reactor, Ukraine), the dose could be fatal (>600 rad/6,000 mSv) for those who are near the reactor. Remain behind a thick object/wall or basement. Wait for instructions from the authority/government26,27.

Improper handling of radiation sources: You will learn about these types of incidents (e.g., that of Goiania, Brazil) only after a handler is seriously injured. Once the incident becomes known, do not go near the affected area unless permitted by the authority28,29,30. If you had been near the incident for a prolonged time, contact the authority. In case of a mishap with a X-ray or radiation therapy type machine, only the operator or patient may get over-exposed.

To minimize panic & worry purchase a radiation dosimeter: It is less likely that a radiation incident will occur and you will receive a dose higher 5 rad/50 mSv. However, you cannot know how much dose you have received without a personal dosimeter31. Accidents due to panic can cause more injuries and deaths than exposure to radiation32. Therefore, to minimize panic and worry, carry a dosimeter, e.g., wearable, instantly color-developing, pre-calibrated, always ready, reliable, rugged, federally funded and tested33, field proven and affordable SIRAD® (RADTriage34 or RADSticker35) for monitoring and triaging exposure information and treatment. RADSticker35 which weighs only 0.2 gram can be applied on many objects and carried with you for a couple of years. A SIRAD may compliment, but cannot replace any other dosimeter/detector you may be required to use.

RADStickerTM is a peel-&-stick postage stamp sized, instantly color developing, casualty dosimeter which costs less than a penny a week, you can carry 24/7, always ready and with you, for any future radiation emergency. Needs no power, has no electronics or moving parts, reliable, robust, rugged and useful for triaging radiation exposure information and medical treatment in a major radiological incident, such as a nuclear or dirty bomb explosion, nuclear power plant accident or mishandling of radiation sources. RADSticker is made under USP # 7,227,158; 7,476,874 and others. The technology was developed with multimillion dollar funding from several US agencies, such as DHS, DOJ, DOS, DOD, DHHS and TSWG and was field tested by the DHS with 800 first responders in the states of NJ, NY and IL.

Japan Nuclear Fallout Radiation in US Rainwater Now Several Thousands Times Above Drinking Water Limits
Posted by Alexander Higgins - March 30, 2011

I previously wrote about how the Federal Government decided to wait almost 2 weeks to inform the public that rainwater across the entire US is contaminated with radiation from Japan’s nuclear fallout.

There is now news that what was originally reported as only tiny, harmless, minuscule amounts is now being detected at levels thousands of times greater than what is allowed drinking water.

This so much ressembles the way the Oil spill disaster was handled Mercuriel.
Incompetent corporations being given the full power of taking every possible wrong move in the wrong direction until things become out of reach while sacrificing the lives of dedicated employees who do care.

Will we be able to radiate enough Love and vibrate at the right frequencies to neutralize the mess and allow a miracle to take place ?

Two major disasters one year apart.
I think never the challenge has been so strong .
    Quite interesting .

Sorry about that Mudra. That Post had been placed in the wrong Thread for It and so I deleted that response from this Thread and placed It into the 9.1 Quake Thread.

My apolgies Dear Sister. You are quick though as I only had It up there in this Thread for about 3 Minutes when I noticed My error in Posting It in the wrong Thread due to the relevance of what I'd Posted in It.

Here is where I moved It to.

    Radiation Sickness

    http://www.natural-health-home-remedies.com/radiation.html

This page is dedicated to the nameless Fukushima Fifty who knowingly risked radiation sickness and death, with the hopes of preventing an even greater radioactive global disaster. It is thought that there were about 200 courageous individuals working in 15 minute shifts at the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant, fully aware of their continual radiation bombardment. Five have already died and apparently 15 others are seriously ill.

Thank you for posting this mudra. JT

I do have concerns as Japan 's Nuclear Radiation In Hawaii Milk is A Total Of 2033% Above Federal Drinking Water Limits. At first I thought we were okay because the jet streams were going north of Hawaii up toward Canada and dropping down along the Western Coast and then being carried across the US into Europe. The sad reality is that those of us who live in the Northern Hemisphere are all at risk of radiation poisoning given what is gong on.

People need to keep in mind that there is NO SAFE LEVEL of radiation. Even in the dentist chair I had to wear a lead apron covering up the rest of my body while they did dental x-rays. Now people are being told (via the likes of Ann Coulter) that radiation is good for them. Amazing. I know after my mother got cancer she gets radiation treatment to kill the cancer cells. But she just happened to be down wind of a radiation contamination area where many people in the town where she lives have cancer. Her neighbors have cancer too. So having data to help protect ourselves is very valuable..

However, we now know something as simple as milk, spinach, water, air, soil is contaminated. What is going on with Japan and continues to go on with Japan is a global catastrophic event that we have no clue how this will play out. Millions will suffer the consequences of this event. There is little escape unless we learn how to protect ourselves and this world we live in.
