UPDATE: Officials announced that the shelter-in-place for all of Rockdale County has been extended indefinitely.
Rockdale County Fire Chief Marian McDaniel explained that the large plume of smoke seen by residents is due to a chemical reaction. Cleanup efforts are still underway at the site. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Georgia's Environmental Protection Division (EPD) are on the scene to assess any potential health risks.
Officials still have not identified the chemical responsible for the reaction, but an update on Monday morning said that the irritant chlorine was detected in the air emitting from the incident location of BioLab.

MORE: Verizon experienced a nationwide outage this morning, leaving many customers unable to send calls or texts.
The outage began around 9:30am ET, jumping from 3,800 reports to more than 64,000 customers reporting their cell service was down by 10:45am ET.
Reports showed that phones were stuck in SOS mode while others said they have data bars, but they still can't receive any ingoing or outgoing calls and texts.
Verizon has not informed customers why it's service has gone down and has yet to comment on the outage.

BREAKING NOW: AT&T users reported they're experiencing an outage leaving them with no cell service or home WiFi.
The outage began around 9:40am ET, with customers reporting their cell service was completely down.
Reports showed that phones couldn't access 5G home internet and users complained that they couldn't make or receive calls.
AT&T has not yet commented on the outage or when customers can expect their service to be restored.

DOCKWORKERS STRIKE BEGINS:
Dockworkers at ports from Maine to Texas began walking picket lines early Tuesday in a strike over wages and automation that could reignite inflation and cause shortages of goods if it goes on more than a few weeks.
The contract between the ports and about 45,000 members of the International Longshoremen’s Association expired at midnight, and even though progress was reported in talks on Monday, the workers went on strike. The strike affecting 36 ports is the first by the union since 1977.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs case to reveal list of other perpetrators soon: ‘The names will shock you,’ attorney saysSean “Diddy” Combs is just one of the “many powerful people” who will go down for the alleged sexual assault crimes that took place at his parties.
In a press conference held Tuesday in Houston, attorney Tony Buzbee warned that the “day will come” when he names the other alleged perpetrators and bystanders associated with Combs’ alleged illegal activity.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” Buzbee, who is representing over 100 alleged victims of the Bad Boy Records founder, said during the press conference.
“The day will come when we will name names other than Sean Combs, and there’s a lot of names. It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make damn sure — damn sure — we are right before we do that,” he continued, adding, “The names will shock you.”
Buzbee noted that he plans to begin filing lawsuits in various states within the next 30 days, promising to name the other defendants at a later date.
He said he plans to reveal the “bystanders” and willing participants who “encouraged” the alleged abuse and “egged it on” alongside Combs.
“These people who know who they are should just come forward now,” Buzbee urged. “I would imagine that as we speak here, there are a myriad of people who are very nervous. You can’t hide skeletons in the closet forever. I would expect there are many people out there right now who are desperately searching their memories as they delete their texts and data.”

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov revealed on Wednesday that the messenger service has been complying with privacy policies in several countries and has been properly disclosing information about criminals to authorities for the past six years.
The Russian-born tech billionaire has remained under orders not to leave France after he was arrested in Paris in late August and charged with multiple offenses, such as operating a platform used for organized crime and refusing to cooperate with French authorities.
Last month, Durov, who is also a co-founder of the company, announced an update to the platform’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which he said would make it clear that IP addresses and phone numbers of those who violate the messenger’s rules “can be disclosed to relevant authorities in response to valid legal requests.”
In a follow-up post on his Du Rove’s Channel on Wednesday, the Telegram CEO noted that the new policy does not constitute a “major shift” in how the platform works and that it had already been sharing with relevant authorities the details of criminals abusing it.
