    I'm having the same problem. It's been happening for at least a week. I'm not using a VPN but I get the same error saying no VPNs allowed.

    Thank you for responding. We don't have VPN on the cell phones and some of the computers and get the same message. Trinity once commented on how easy it would be to take the site down. Is this what happened..? it could mean the site is being blocked. GLP is an effective communication site on an international level. Of course this is suspect if no one can get through and makes one wonder what's going on behind the scenes.. something MAJOR?

    It's an international forum that I've been with for over 20 years. It's a mixture of folks from all over.. some quite immature, yet also a site of breaking news given various members locations.

    It seems the problem is on my end so will contact Apple and have them help be correct the problem.

    I don't think the problem is on your end, Carol. Trinity sometimes does sweeping bans of IP addresses. He made a thread recently asking for people to become paid members to support the site as a place of free speech. Paid members are protected from IP bans. I think the forum is plagued by bots and trolls, and every so often they disable comments from unregistered users (Anonymous Cowards). I'm receiving the same error message and not using a VPN. People all over are saying they see the same message. So it is a general message everyone is receiving. I've had my IP blocked in a sweep ban by GLP before, but it only lasted a couple days. I'm not sure if paid members (blue names) are experiencing this issue or if they are exempt, as I don't know any, but it looks like something is happening on the back end of the entire site.

    Thanks for the update Lee. I am a paid member and haven't been banned since, until this. I'll still check with Apple and see if they can do anything. Been exceptionally busy so just haven't got to it yet.

    I truly appreciate you post. Ironic given the message and my one lone thread received several hundred views daily.

    Thank you for checking that out mudra. I just haven't had the time to call Apple and get rid of Cloudfare. I figured it had to be at my end but the confusing part was that none of our computers or cell phones could access it and some did not have cloudfare, VPN or TOR connection. And even when I followed the instruction son how to disable VPNTOR, didn't work. So the next step is Apple assist.

    This thread is an education in tech talk for me.  For example, I'm not even sure what role Apple is!!  (Your internet provider?)  That is probably a really STUPID question, but what can I say?  Can I claim I'm too old?

    Good one Seashore.

    I have a MacBookAir computer and . Apple is our tech service provider for computers and I-phones.

    All my computers in the past were Macs due to how easy there were to use.

    Apple tech support is able to trouble shoot what is going on when something goes wrong and walks us through on how to fix it.

    I ended up with cloud storage due to how many emails I get (thousands) and they automatically just move what I haven't deleted over into the cloud due to my computer storage being filled up. I just clean out a few thousand and it still keeps filling up. So now i have to go in to the cloud storage and sort through the plethora of data there and delete, delete, delete. And then I'll get rid of the cloud, which I never liked in the first place as it seems it has a mind of its own adding problems like this one. This also means I have to sort through all the documents that got stored there as well. Very time consuming.

    Do yourself a favor and don't join any online cooking recipe groups as you will be inundated with their recipe emails.

    Did you clear the cache and browser history Carol ?

    I don’t know what error message you get while trying to access GLP but for what its worth here is link that may be useful at some point if you are using Safari and it can’t establish a secure connection to a website:

    Thank you for that extra link mudra.. I did clear the cache, cookies and bowser. Nada. However I'll look at the link you provided and see what can be done. When I checked the email.. in the cloud, there were 6k. Needess to say.. those need to be cleared out too. Sadly, I seem to be a data hoarder when it comes to emails.. they go back years. It's like having a closet that stuff keeps being stored in.. not good.

    Will work on this tomorrow That cloud has got to go.

    Besides.. I'm enjoying spending my time here in the Mists, it's a nice change.

    Many problems I encountered with Apple devices I could solve
    by searching for answers on the web. We are fortunate to be able to do this nowadays.

    Thank you for this mudra. My phone does access GLP, yet the computer issue has not been resolved... because I prefer it this way. There is too much censorship on GLP to my liking and at Mists I can post some really good info I can't post there, along with all the images I want. Mists is now my full-time posting location. Being Admin does have its benefits. And we do get hundreds of daily views.. with quite a few from China, Beijing, Tokyo.. always Russia. Then there is South Africa, Boydton, Virginia, Oregon, Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, Ireland, Sadia Arabia, UK.. and so on... but these days, China seems to love visiting the Mists.
