Re: HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Happy Halloween everyone!
For those interested... here is some symbolism behind this festivity.
"Halloween is a festivity that teaches us the importance of the mystical death; the need to comprehend that the mind is isolated and under the domination of the unconscious shadows of the ego, which most believe is themselves."
This mystical death is all but forgotten today, despite the fact that it is written about in countless legends and stories.. symbolically speaking.
Let us take a look at the esoteric symbolism behind some of the more popular legends, and we shall see how they tell the exact same story!
Keep in mind these are very quick brake downs lol...
George and the Dragon
In esotericism, the dragon = Ego, Soul = Feminine.
Our lady(soul) is currently held in bondage by the dragon (ego).
Thus George slew the Dragon (his ego) with the sword Ascalon to save his maiden (soul), and in doing so.. became a Saint. This is called "The Great Work" in esotericism. These stories become very beautiful when read symbolically.
Medusa
Medusa (The ego with a thousand hissing vipers) was beheaded by Persues with an adamantine sword to save his soul. This is why Medusa can only be looked at with a mirror.. it's our own ego!
David and Goliath
David is our roughly 3% awakened consciousness.. a child.. and Goliath is our ego, and we.. the child, all need to slay this giant, just as David did in the story if we want to convert subconsciousness into awakened conscious.
In esotericism, beheading ourselves is a good thing! Those who behead themselves (kill the ego) become self realized masters... John the Baptist was one, as he was ordered to be beheaded by the daughter of king Herod.. Salome (Our Soul). Those who read the dead letter think this is a bad thing! But it means John performed the Work!
Our halloween pumpkin is an occult symbol that represents the head, and the festivity reminds us of the great work we must all perform if we want to truly awaken.
So what exactly is the ego? Simple!
Its greed, vanity, anger, gluttony, fear, lust, pride, envy, laziness, vengeance, ect... Killing the ego means destroying every one of these elements so they no longer exist within.. but for that.. we need to aquire the flaming sword.. the fire of the pentacost.. the Blest Mother Kundalini Shakti!
"May the Light of Christ illuminate our Pumpkins(head)."
