    Update 3: The Irma hits just keep on coming, with the NHC Atlantic Ops twitter page reporting moments ago that as of this moment, Irma is now the stronger hurricane in the Atlantic basin outside of the Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico in NHC records.

    According to Bloomberg, Irma’s current path - headed straight for Florida - has prompted the state to prepare for the "catastrophic" system. Unlike Harvey, which caused widespread damage, power outages and flooding and taking almost a fifth of U.S. oil refining capacity offline, Irma is a bigger threat to agriculture, with orange juice futures surging.

    Airlines have canceled flights across the Caribbean and are adding planes to evacuate tourists, while cruise-line stocks have tumbled.

    Another Powerful Hurricane Is Taking Aim At The US

    A strike on Florida would be the first time since 1964 that the U.S. was hit by back-to-back storms of Category 3 or more and only the second time since 1851, Henson said. Irma is now among the 7 most powerful storms on record to cross the Atlantic.

    “Our biggest concern is Florida citrus,”     said Joel Widenor, co-founder of Commodity Weather Group LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. “There is big enough fruit on the trees that the fruit could drop off, it could literally get blown off. The bigger issue is tree damage that is a lot harder to recover from.”
    Some more facts: Florida is the world’s largest producer of orange juice after Brazil. About two-thirds of the state’s citrus crop is located in the lower two-thirds of the peninsula. Orange juice for November delivery jumped as much as 6.9 percent to $1.4595 a pound on ICE Futures U.S. Tuesday, the biggest intraday gain for the contract since Jan. 28, 2016. Cotton for December delivery jumped by the 3-cent exchange limit, or 4.2 percent, to 74.88 cents a pound. Aggregate trading for both commodities for this time doubled compared with the 100-day average, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

    “There is an increasing chance of seeing some impacts from Irma in the Florida Peninsula and the Florida Keys later this week,” the National Hurricane Center said after Governor Rick Scott declared an emergency.

    There is still hope that a direct hit will be avoided: "The expected path has shifted considerably west over the last two days and can still change over the next two," said Olivier Jakob, founder of energy consultant Petromatrix GmbH in Zug, Switzerland. “We cannot yet rule out a move further west with a Louisiana risk.”

    Irma’s track could shift as it nears Cuba and Florida, according to Bob Henson, a meteorologist with Weather Underground in Boulder, Colorado. One possibility is a turn to the north that would take the storm up the Florida peninsula.

    “It is four to five days away,” Henson said. “In hurricane-land that is a pretty long time span.”
    Beyond the threat to people and property in the Caribbean, the focus for now is on agriculture, Jakob said. Irma is leading traders to be “long orange Juice futures rather than gasoline futures," he said.

    Only three Category 5 hurricanes have hit the contiguous 48 U.S. states, Henson told Bloomberg. The Labor Day Hurricane of 1935 that devastated the Florida Keys, Hurricane Camille in 1969 and Hurricane Andrew that cut across Florida in 1992. Andrew was originally classified as a Category 4 storm only to be upgraded years later after further analysis.

    “It is obviously a rare breed,” Henson said. “We are in rare territory.”

    Update 2: While few are willing to admit it yet, according to meteorologist Ryan Maye, Hurricane Irma is still intensifying, with winds up to 155-knots (180 mph) and that extrapolating Saffir-Simpson scale, 158-knots would be Category 6.

    Update: Irma has been upgraded from a Cat 5+ Hurricane to "Potentially Catastrophic" Cat 5++ storm, with winds now near 180 mph gusting to 220 mph, still moving due west at 14 mph.

    Here is the latest NHC update:

    At 1100 AM AST (1500 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Irma was located near latitude 16.8 North, longitude 58.4 West. Irma is moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this general motion is expected to continue today, followed by a turn toward the west-northwest tonight. On the forecast track, the extremely dangerous core of Irma is forecast to move over portions of the northern Leeward Islands tonight and early Wednesday.

    Reports from an Air Force Hurricane Hunter aircraft indicate that the maximum sustained winds are near 180 mph (285 km/h) with higher gusts. Irma is a an extremely dangerous category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale. Some fluctuations in intensity are likely during the next day or two, but Irma is forecast to remain a powerful category 4 or 5 hurricane during the next couple of days.

    Hurricane-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km) from the center and tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 160 miles (260 km).

    The latest minimum central pressure reported by reconnaissance aircraft is 931 mb (27.50 inches).

    Irma has strengthened to an "extremely dangerous" Category 5 hurricane, the National Hurricane Center said in its advisory at 7:45am AST. According to the Hurricane center, NOAA and Air Force hurricane hunter aircraft data indicate Hurricane Irma has intensified into an "extremely dangerous" Category 5 hurricane on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale with maximum winds of 175 mph (280 km/h) with higher gusts.

    As of this moment, the hurricane is located 270 miles east of Antigua, moving west at 14 mph. States of emergency were declared in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and all of Florida while people on various Caribbean islands boarded up homes and rushed to find last-minute supplies, forming long lines outside supermarkets and gas stations. This morning the Dominican Republic has issued a Hurricane Watch from Cabo Engano to northern border with Haiti; Tropical Storm Watch from south of Cabo Engao to Isla Saona.

    According to meteorologists, Irma is the 17th hurricane in the Atlantic on record to have max winds >= 175 mph. Atlantic max wind record is Allen (1980) at 190 mph.

    Ultimately, the question is how strong Irma will be when it inevitably makes landfall on the Eastern Seaboard, somewhere in the vicinity of Miami.

    Meanwhile, officials across the northeastern Caribbean canceled airline flights, shuttered schools and urged people to hunker down indoors as Hurricane Irma barreled toward the region, now as an "extremely powerful" Category 5 storm. Irma's maximum sustained winds increased to near 175 mph early Tuesday.

    According to AP, emergency officials warned that the storm could dump up to 10 inches (25 centimeters) of rain, unleash landslides and dangerous flash floods and generate waves of up to 23 feet (7 meters) as the storm drew closer.

    "We're looking at Irma as a very significant event," Ronald Jackson, executive director of the Caribbean Disaster Emergency Management Agency, said by phone. "I can't recall a tropical cone developing that rapidly into a major hurricane prior to arriving in the central Caribbean."

    U.S. residents were urged to monitor the storm's progress in case it should turn northward toward Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas. "This hurricane has the potential to be a major event for the East Coast. It also has the potential to significantly strain FEMA and other governmental resources occurring so quickly on the heels of (Hurricane) Harvey," Evan Myers, chief operating officer of AccuWeather, said in a statement.

    In the Caribbean, the director of Puerto Rico's power company predicted that storm damage could leave some areas of the U.S. territory without electricity for four to six months. But "some areas will have power (back) in less than a week," Ricardo Ramos told radio station Notiuno 630 AM.

    The power company's system has deteriorated greatly amid Puerto Rico's decade-long recession, and the territory experienced an islandwide outage last year. Meanwhile, the governor of the British Virgin Islands urged people on Anegada island to leave if they could, noting that Irma's eye was expected to pass 35 miles (56 kilometers) from the capital of Road Town.

    "This is not an opportunity to go outside and try to have fun with a hurricane," U.S. Virgin Islands Gov. Kenneth Mapp warned. "It's not time to get on a surfboard."

    Antigua and Anguilla shuttered schools Monday, and government office closures were expected to follow. On the tiny island of Barbuda, hotel manager Andrea Christian closed the Palm Tree Guest House. She said she was not afraid even though it would be her first time facing a storm of that magnitude.

    "We can't do anything about it," Christian said by phone, adding that she had stocked up on food and water. "We just have to wait it out."

    Both Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands expected 4 inches to 8 inches (10-20 centimeters) of rain and winds of 40-50 mph with gusts of up to 60 mph. Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello activated the National Guard, canceled classes for Tuesday and declared a half-day of work. He also warned of flooding and power outages. "It's no secret that the infrastructure of the Puerto Rico Power Authority is deteriorated," Rossello said.

    Meteorologist Roberto Garcia warned that Puerto Rico could experience hurricane-like conditions in the next 48 hours should the storm's path shift. "Any deviation, which is still possible, could bring even more severe conditions to Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands," Garcia said. The U.S. Virgin Islands said the school year would open Friday instead of Tuesday.

    Gov. Kenneth Mapp said most hotels in the U.S. territory were at capacity with some 5,000 tourists. He noted the storm was expected to pass 40 miles (64 kilometers) north of St. Thomas and warned that the island could experience sustained winds as high as 80 mph

    "It's not a lot of distance," he said, adding: "It could affect us in a tremendous way. I'm not saying that to alarm anyone or scare anyone, but I want the Virgin Islands to be prepared."

    Residents on the U.S. East Coast were urged to monitor the storm's progress due to the possibility it could turn northward toward Florida, Georgia or the Carolinas. "This hurricane has the potential to be a major event for the East Coast. It also has the potential to significantly strain FEMA and other governmental resources occurring so quickly on the heels of (Hurricane) Harvey," Evan Myers, chief operating officer of AccuWeather, said in a statement.

    In Miami-Dade County, the early scramble was on to stock up on hurricane supplies, reports CBS Miami. People were shopping for gasoline, generators, food, batteries, and everything else they'd need get by were Irma to hit the region hard.

    "We are not yet at the height of hurricane season and people have not taken steps to get prepared yet," Miami-Dade County Emergency Management Director Curt Sommerhoff said Monday. "We are encouraging them to take those steps today." Miami-Dade officials were to meet Tuesday to assess the danger.

    A video with a picture of someone that states that person said something without reference is to me a work of fiction.

    I watched the video and it smacks of fear mongering ... im not saying these things are not happening on some level but its obvious they are using a fair bit of artistic license ...

    All too true N. I posted this because I've been coming across a number of articles on weather manipulation and as a parking place to add some other content I found of interest. I didn't see all that much from Snowden and agree that it is a bit annoying when folks use click bait to watch something where the content identified is missing.

    Hurricane Harvey Damages Could Cost up to $180 Billion

    Now that everyone knows that HARVEY was steered into Texas coastline, it’s generally understood that IRMA will likewise be directed to a specific target… … …still unknown! That the national conversation has shifted so quickly to manmade superstorms is a HUGE happening.  For only when a critical mass of Americans realize that these superstorms are geoengineered from substantially smaller storms which naturally form during hurricane season, will the awareness be sufficiently raised to terminate them altogether.

    When Shock & Awe is geoengineered

    The weather weaponry that was utilized to geoengineer and steer HARVEY into Texas is really very simple.  The state of the art of geoengineering technology is quite advanced; much more than the taxpayers have been told.  While chemical geoengineering has been conducted for several decades, the capacity to carry out chemtrail operations has seen a dramatic increase since 9/11.  Likewise, the requisite HAARP technology has been refined considerably in the past 10 years.

    What’s the critical point: the NWO globalists can manufacture a storm, ramp it up to cataclysmic superstorm magnitude, and aim it practically anywhere they so desire.     Fall of 2017

    The late Summer and Fall of 2017 have been predicted to be a defining period in U.S. history. There are several reasons for this which are beyond the scope of this article; suffice to say, from now through the end of October the USA will see some extraordinary events and experience great challenges.  HARVEY is an example of but one of those.

    It’s quite possible that the ruling cabal has something big planned with IRMA.  If not, there will be other fearsome superstorms fabricated in their geongineering laboratory. The way things are stacking up right now, IRMA could be used as a 9/11-scale event, depending on which coastline she hits.  In this manner, turbo-charged hurricanes are actually massive false flag attacks (read: superstorm invasions).  Mother Nature is blamed when a small inconsequential storm is transformed into a full-blown frankenstorm by the geoengineers.  Now that’s a false flag, if ever there was one.

    Hurricane Irma’s projected path

    Given that today is September 4th, by Monday, 9/11/17, IRMA could very well be knocking on someone’s door near the US mainland.  Therefore, it behooves every resident to pay close attention to the direction and development of IRMA.  As they have often done in the past, they unleash these mega-huricanes in threes or fours.  2005 saw the 3 sisters — Katrina, Rita and Wilma — hit the GOM coastal states; just like Florida experienced four major hurricanes — Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne — in 2004.

    The crucial point here is that the geoengineers have been set up for a very active season. Except that “active” is really a euphemism for “devastating” in 2017.  That’s because there is so much more at work here.  The American people are being socially engineered by way of any and every means available.  Superstorm-induced PTSD is just one tool in the NWO toolkit that the globalists will use to manufacture consent according to the demands of their agenda.

    Ultimate False Flag

    Is there any other type of false flag terror operation more dangerous than those which blame monster storms on Mother Earth?  Not only do these superstorms destroy whole cities and displace thousands, they take over the political agenda pushing many other legitimate priorities way down on the list.  This is exactly what happens when unprovoked wars of aggression are waged across the planet as well.  Only in the instant case, it’s weather war and/or environmental terrorism that really chews up the budget.

    However, the sword in this particular context clearly cuts both ways. Everyone knows that: “It’s not nice to fool [with] Mother Nature!”  So sooner or later, the geoengineering perps are going to receive their comeuppance.  Those who play god with the weather are also vulnerable to any eventuality as retribution.  And that kind of karma often busts one upside the head with a four by four when they least expect it.

    For some reason the weather warriors and other geoengineering co-conspirators really believe they are not susceptible to such blowback.  They think they are invincible to the forces of nature because of their underground bunkers and alpine castles and luxury yachts.  Nevertheless, ultimately everyone receives their just desserts.

    False flag operations such as geoengineered superstorms are of such enormity and gravity that they will soon be exposed and ended for good.  With each successive weather tragedy more and more people are waking up to the fact that they are being victimized by climate engineering.

    As for the great people of Texas, they may very well be the ones who spearhead this global campaign to successfully take back our weather from those who have stolen it with their incessant chemtrailing.  Because the great state of Texas has been especially singled out in this regard, the needed changes may very well begin there.     As IRMA continues plotting her course, those living in the lower 48 ought to be very aware of all developing weather events for the rest of the Fall.  Having a prepared household and departure contingency plan worked out in advance is not a bad idea in these [VERY] interesting times.

    Go to the latest USGS update and take a look. Irma has exceeded expectations. Obviously Irma could be natural because hurricanes like this happen, but I'm having my doubts.

    The storm path is unbelievably perfect for max strengthening and destruction. Irma popped up out of nowhere from tropical storm straight to category 2 before anyone could take any in between measurements. And now the max sustained winds are 175 mph???!!! when I went to bed they were 132 mph. How did that happen overnight?

    There is no escaping a hard reality: It's gonna be BAD.

    Ok, so let's say you are stuck in the damage path and you are south of the U.S. border. There is a cheap brand of tools in Mexico called Lion. They have awesome tape. Use their tape to tape your glass if you can't do anything else. Don't use scotch or any brand from wal mart. I confirmed with the CD's while mailing them that the clear packing tape from Lion is stronger and stickier than any other tape I have ever seen. That's for Mexico. In the U.S., you had better get going preparing, everyone pays attention to the max wind speed at the eye wall but if you are in a zone where the winds are 120 mph or less, you might get through this unscathed if you board up your windows NOW.

    KEY POINT: Irma is getting SO NASTY that you won't have to be anywhere near a direct hit to have everything get ripped up. Don't just watch where the eye is going, even if it looks like you are not going to get a direct hit prepare anyway, Irma might be the storm of the century.

    What will Irma do if it makes landfall with 200 plus MPH winds? Here's what: The grass in your yard will be gone. Tornado zones call this "scouring", where the storm is so bad it actually rips the earth up. This type of hurricane actually digs dirt. It strips off everything, there will be no trees. Wooden houses will look like an F5 tornado zone. Irma might be the type of storm that strips everything bare to the ground. Skyscrapers will handle it with broken windows. But even cinder block buildings will be blown over. Having a "brick house" won't cut it. Even if you are lucky enough to have a house made of solid concrete, the windows will be gone and there will be no place to hide from the wind as it rips through broken windows, throwing glass everywhere. Closing the bedroom door in the "one last safe room" probably won't work, because the wind coming through the windows will probably break the door.

    Don't be a storm chaser with Irma, because you'll be dead. Unless something radically weakens Irma, you'll be dead if you stay where it makes landfall. It won't matter how good your observation area is.

    Let's just hope I'm being doomy with this, but I'd bet I am not!

    Louisiana and Texas are the most likely landfall zone.

    Dangerous Hurricane Irma was intensifying as it approached the northern Lesser Antilles Islands on Monday morning, and island residents in the path of Irma need to rush preparations to completion as the storm heads west-southwest at 14 mph. A NOAA hurricane hunter aircraft in the storm found that Irma’s central pressure was steadily dropping Monday morning, reaching 944 mb at 11 am EDT.

    Irma's top sustained winds are estimated at 120 mph, and winds may not yet have fully responded to this pressure drop. Update: Based on Hurricane Hunter measurements, NHC raised Irma's top sustained winds at 5:00 pm EDT to 130 mph, making it a Category 4 storm. Irma is expected to be a major Category 4 hurricane when it passes very close to the northern Lesser Antilles Islands on Tuesday, near Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands on Wednesday, and the Turks and Caicos Islands and Hispaniola on Thursday. As of 5 pm EDT Monday, Hurricane Warnings are in effect for the northern Leeward Islands, and Hurricane Watches are up for the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico.

    The Space Weather Prediction Center has upgraded a geomagnetic storm watch for September 6 and 7 to a level only occasionally seen, but scientists say it’s nothing to be too alarmed about.

    They do recommend looking for an unusual display of the aurora—the northern lights caused by a disturbance of the magnetosphere—in areas of the U.S. not used to seeing them.

    “The big takeaway from this level of storming would be just increased chance of seeing the aurora, really in the upper tier of the United States,” says Robert Rutledge, lead of operations at the center, which is part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.     The storm could pose an “elevated radiation risk to passengers & crew in high-flying aircraft at far north or south latitudes,” a NOAA warning says, and intermittently impact high-frequency RF communications, which may require some transpolar flight routes to divert to lower geomagnetic latitudes (a shift that would cost the airlines more). But currently, says Rutledge, the storm isn’t expected to interfere with flights or any other human activity here on earth or in space. There’s a slim chance of isolated interfere with high-precision GPS readings, but those issues usually only arise with stronger storms, he says.

    The so-called G3 level storm is the result of what’s called a coronal mass ejection, where magnetic interactions on the sun launch part of its outer atmosphere of superheated plasma into space. When that burst of radiation gets near earth–barreling toward us at a million miles per hour, it takes about two days to make the journey–its magnetic field interacts with Earth’s, Rutledge says.

    “The geomagnetic storm is a result of that process,” he says. “That’s what causes the auroras, where it’s dumping energy into the atmosphere.”

    The sun’s magnetic activity operates on a roughly 11-year cycle, and activity of this intensity takes place for about 100 total days of that cycle. But we’re currently experiencing the downside of a not particularly strong solar activity cycle, so storms like this are not frequent. A similar magnitude storm was last seen in May, Rutledge says.

    Northern U.S. and Canadian residents hoping to catch a glimpse of the aurora will get their best shot on Wednesday night and early Thursday, and the Space Weather Prediction Center posts 30-minute forecasts of the colorful sky phenomenon’s intensity.

    “It’s a mid-range event, but if it’s a chance to see the aurora in the northern tier of the lower 48, we’ll certainly take it,” Rutledge says.

    Meanwhile, his agency’s National Hurricane Center is preparing for a far more dangerous storm: this week Irma is expected to bring catastrophic winds and potential storm surges to the U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, the Florida Keys, and the UK territory of Turks and Caicos.
