Buildings on fire, windows smashed and shops looted - scenes of devastation litter the streets of London after three days of violent riots.
As part of an ongoing operation to protect people and property, more than 1,700 extra officers have been deployed across the capitol alone. Thousands more officers have been deployed to contain the situation as scenes of lawlessness have spread to other cities, including Birmingham, Liverpool and Bristol.
Police officers are also working in a number of London neighborhoods, including Hackney, Newham, Lewisham, Bethnal Green and Croydon. In Enfield, raiders looted shops, making off with whatever they could carry. In nearby Edmonton a man was stabbed. To the south in Brixton, rioters threw rocks at police. In Tottenham, where it all began, the high street is a burnt out shell.

This afternoon around 16.00 pm, I glanced through the paper headlines and noticed that the Conservatives

I'm puzzled, my interest in following this
event in England is my moving over to that country on coming July 1st. Yep, I'm so immensely pleased with myself
for having found a second home and great location. And for having ended my working life aka having to earn an
income to live.
It's time this Dutchess goes overseas and involves herself in what matters to English matters and soil, ahem...
From July 1st on I can truly dedicate myself to a more down to earth aka spiritual development, close at home to
begin with and later further to the shores all around me, on that eccentric and funny island Albion, for the benefit of
all concerned. Politics impresses and interests me the least, no good coming from that direction so far. Who knows, we
may be surprised, end of the evening, similar to what happened in the elections of Greece with Greek saying it as it is?

Anyone traveling to Britain from a country on the government’s ‘red list’ must quarantine in a hotel (which they will have to pay for), and have THREE COVID tests, under draconian new laws being implemented by the government.
The unprecedented and sweeping new rules were announced by Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who said that he makes ‘no apologies’ for such severe measures.
From Monday anyone entering the country will have to pass three PCR tests in order to be allowed any freedom inside the country after they have completed a ten day quarantine at a government selected hotel, at a cost of almost two thousand pounds.
Security guards will be stationed throughout the hotels, with police on standby if those inside try to leave before their release date.
Hancock said that anyone caught breaking their quarantine could be fined ten thousand pounds, while anyone caught lying about coming from a COVID ‘hotspot’ could be jailed for up to a decade.
Even those not coming from one of the 33 ‘red list’ countries, and arriving from elsewhere, will have to test negative before being allowed to travel, then quarantine at their home address for ten days and allow authorities to ‘check that they are obeying the rules’.
COVID tests, which cost more than £100 each, will be required on day two and day eight of isolation, and must be booked through a new government portal in advance of travel, according to the new law.
If the tests are positive, a further ten day quarantine will be mandated.
Failure to comply with the testing will incur fines of £1,000 the first time, and £2,000 the second time.

Anyone hoping to escape the crackdown via booking travel through a budget or less thorough carrier will likely be disappointed as Hancock announced that “Passenger carriers will have a duty in law to make sure that passengers have signed up for these new arrangements before they travel, and will be fined if they don’t.”
However, an aviation source told reporters yesterday
“We’re completely in the dark. We don’t know yet whether the Government will want us to deny boarding,” to people who haven’t presented test results or booked into a quarantine hotel.

According to the UK's largest ATM network, "LINK is committed to protecting free access to cash for as long as consumers want it".
The question is, how long will the desire for good old fashioned bank notes last?
As this infographic shows, the use of LINK cash machines was down year-on-year in every month of 2019, as noted by the company in their 2020 report:
"The impact of many consumers reducing their cash usage continues to be seen across the LINK network.The number of transactions fell by 12.9% between December 2018 and December 2019."

Estimates for the life expectancy of the country's ATMs will have to be put on hold for now though, as Statista's Martin Armstrong notes that with the Covid-19 pandemic drastically changing the way we interact with businesses - at least temporarily, and in some ways potentially forever. The lockdown-related closures of premises with an ATM will naturally be remedied once the measures are once and for all retracted, as will the lack of need for cash due to businesses such as bars and restaurants being closed.
