A report prepared by the Security Council (SCRF) circulating in the Kremlin today states that President Putin has issued orders that his people must be protected from GMO “food” and Western pharmaceuticals “at all costs.”

The report says that President Putin believes the next stage of human evolution is currently in “grave risk” and that Western and global powers are “intentionally decelerating the process for their personal gain.”

“We as a species have the choice to continue to develop our bodies and brains in a healthy upward trajectory, or we can follow the Western example of recent decades and intentionally poison our population with genetically altered food, pharmaceuticals, vaccinations, and fast food that should be classified as a dangerous, addictive drug.”

“We must fight this. A physically and intellectually disabled population is not in our interests,” the report states.

Describing the average government-controlled Westerner as an “intensively vaccinated borderline autistic fat man slumped in front of a screen battling a high-fructose corn syrup comedown,” the report states that such tactics used by governments to subjugate their citizens are not only “dark/evil” but “counter-productive in the medium to long term.”

Russia under President Putin has been giving away land for free in the past few years to people willing to farm organically and sustainably. The goal is to become the world’s “leading exporter” of non-GMO foods that are based on “ecologically clean” production.

Putin continues to surprise me.. more often in a positive way. More often then not anyone in the point position of a nation has the good, bad and ugly around them. Is it that person in particular who had to incorporate all of that to get into their position in the first place..? Or those who wish to be in power and do whatever they can to discredit the current person on power? What I do like about is that he is taking the lead on preventing GMOs from spreading their seeds in the USSR, preventing toxic vaccinations given to his populace, gives free land to those who want to be farmers and is going organic. He seems genuinely concerned about the health of his citizens. There is a lot more on the political scene and the new ties with China along with going after ISIS. Most of what is out there to look at appears to be a good thing. The big issue is what happens after his turn in office is over?

We all know whoever gets into power likes to put their own stamp on things which isn't always the best thing for the citizens. The US is an example of a government out of control at multiple levels, particularly when it comes to the health "safety" (GMO food, contaminated water, chem trails leading to the contamination of land, water, animals and of it's citizens) refusal to hold the banksters in check and allowing a private owned company - the Federal Reserve - in charge of the printing of fiat money, just to name a few examples of a government out of control.

I was goign to start a new thread but this one will do nicely. Carol , thankyou for acknowledging Putin , without sounding like an advocate i just want to point out what he proposes and then what he actually does, matches up. Any polly can talk , its the walk that counts and Putin has the walk so far.

What i wanted to draw attention to and is most disturbing is the war on us and the use of a deadly unseen Cabal Mercinary called " Parasites " it is evident that there are increasing sickness in the world but we have our doctors baffled as to why ( perhaps by design or consent )

While we worry about Nibiru and Fluoride , Parasites are being re engineered and placed into our food / water supply to make us sicker and is the cause of 80 % of illness today.

The Big Short is a brilliant, wonderful movie, educational yet hilarious, enraging yet idealistic, detailed yet gripping. It is a story of a housing bubble, which only a small group of insightful yet weird short-sellers, the iconoclasts of Wall Street, could see. In the movie, these hedge fund managers, through various creative research methods – from reading insanely boring prospectuses that revealed toxic mortgage content of what were seemingly safe bonds to going to Florida and talking to strippers – discovered that housing was primed to crash. And so they went short housing financially, while emotionally struggling with betting against America. The director, Adam McKay, captures the haze of mid-2000s Bush-led faux prosperity, from which we are ten years removed, and the anguish and narrative of these banker-heroes.

I found myself both loving the movie, and incredibly frustrated by the narrative. The movie is an epic attack on Wall Street, portraying the banks, credit ratings agencies, regulators, real estate agents, securitization experts, and so forth as harmfully destructive and easily duped morons. Markets are shown as essentially rigged. The fratboy smugness of two Floridian real estate agents reveals an intellectual and moral emptiness, as they brag about buying boats with kickbacks from predatory mortgages they lay on immigrants and sex workers. It’s just funny stick stuff, because every one of us knew assholes just like that.

McKay is a master, a comedic, political and communications genius, and his goal was to delegitimize Wall Street. As might be said in 2003, Mission Accomplished. Oddly, there is very little culture coming out of the crisis, few songs or movies, except for the one-off mention in films like Magic Mike, the resentment of financial elites does mostly unremarked in mainstream American culture. This movie will hopefully change that. Perhaps the most effective praise was Geithner bio ghost writer Michael Grunwald’s vacuous piece criticizing the movie, a piece designed to forward to policymakers outraged after seeing the movie and asking their lobbyist friends if there’s any truth to it. No matter, McKay’s movie is a classic, and will have long-lasting important cultural and political impacts.

But the narrative, and this comes from Michael Lewis, has two big problems. The first problem can be summed up in the testimony of Gail Burks, President of the Nevada Fair Housing Center, before the Financial Crisis Inquiry Commission. She noted that in 1999, eight years before the crash, Nevada consumers started complaining about predatory lending. By 2001, her nonprofit was receiving 400 complaints per month with predatory lending issues. Remember, Lewis’s narrative is that no one saw the housing bubble except for his storied few. Burks noticed problems in 2001. She wasn’t alone. Economist Dean Baker in 2003. Federal Reserve Board Governor Ned Gramlich tried to regulate the industry around that time, but was blocked by Alan Greenspan (Tim Geithner references this in his bio, so it was well-known). Another Fed official, Sabeth Siddique, conducted a survey of mortgage loan quality in 2005, finding the results to be “very alarming.” The FBI testified to Congress in 2004 about an “epidemic of mortgage fraud.” Cities and states all over the country were passing laws against predatory lending, and regulators were overriding those laws. In March, 2007, the SEC formed a subprime working group that focuses on CDOs sold during 2006 and 2007. Lewis just misleads so he can tell a better story.

But the housing bubble was no secret. In fact, it was only a secret if you ignored all the warnings from people that Michael Lewis didn’t think were important. And that’s why this movie is so good, while the narrative is somewhat frustrating. It’s so good because McKay found a way to intelligently, credibly and hilariously explain that Wall Street is designed around fraud. But it’s frustrating because it presents a certain view of the crisis – the “oh my God I never knew life was unfair” radicalizing moment of all these pampered wealthy yet nonetheless good men. But it doesn’t just ignore the many people who, because of their lack of power, noticed what was happening before fancy money bags did in 2005, it pretends they never existed in the first place. It doesn’t just not portray the real victims of the crisis, it actually writes out both victims and advocates of those victims altogether.

I lay this at Lewis’s feet. In 2007, Lewis mocked warnings of a crisis presented at Davos as the rantings of “Wimps”, “Ninnies”, and “Pointless Skeptics.” Derivatives, he said, “don’t add to the sum of total risk in the financial world,” and skeptics had “no evidence” that “financial risk is being redistributed in ways we should all worry about.” The Big Short, in other words, and I’m referring to the book, is perhaps Lewis arguing that since he didn’t see the housing bubble, no one saw it. In other words, if you aren’t on Wall Street, to Lewis, you are no one.

The other problem is that the narrative is, paradoxically, that it doesn’t directly nail the fraud committed by the banks and hedge fund managers. Mike Konczal has an incomplete piece in which he points out that the housing bubble happened not because people suddenly wanted to buy homes, but because Wall Street wanted to supply people with money. And not only did Wall Street want to supply people with money, but it wanted to supply bad credit risks with money. This was known – it was why all those trip wires that Lewis pretends didn’t exist were going off. Konzcal, however, doesn’t ask the next logical question, which is, why? Why did the banks want to lend to people who wouldn’t pay them back? And the answer is, as securitization lawyer Tom Adams pointed out years ago, because of the people who went short the housing market, who needed suckers to bet against. The shorts inflated the bubble so they could profit on the downside, using extreme leverage and derivatives. Every dollar put forward by a short-seller ended up generating, at a conservative estimate, one hundred dollars of mortgage loans. This is known; it was covered first in Yves Smith’s book ECONNED, by securitization expert Tom Adams, and then by Jesse Eisinger in a Pulitzer Prize winning story for ProPublica.

These shorts were not the shorts portrayed in Lewis’s book, who are by and large good ethical people, if side players. These were not iconoclastic weirdos, and they didn’t struggle emotionally with betting against America These are the ones that Lewis doesn’t talk about, hedge fund manager John Paulson, the hedge fund Magnetar, and banks like Goldman Sachs. They rigged markets, and went big. Paulson, for example, made $15 billion, far more than any of the characters in the Big Short. All three entities have settled with the SEC. This was the real Big Short. These were the ones who didn’t just bet against America, but committed arson to collect the insurance money. Other hedge funds piggybacked on this gruesome trade, from Deutsche Bank to George Soros to Kyle Bass to Phil Falcone.

In 2010, the SEC sued Goldman Sachs for helping Paulson structure a CDO named Abacus, which was designed to fail. Fraud statutes are simple; you are not allowed to create a security vehicle that you know will fail, and you can’t do it while leaving out critical information to your customer (like that you created the instrument so you could bet against it). That’s fraud, even if the entity is a sophisticated investor. In 2010, when the Abacus lawsuit was initiated, I got an email from one of the heroes of the Big Short, who wrote that this lawsuit was aimed at the heart of the crisis. Someone in authority, he said, knows exactly what happened. Someone understood that it was not about Axe body spraying real estate agents, but that trillion dollar markets were rigged by pinstripe wearing con artists.

This is, when you think about it, self-evident. This was a global crisis. If the U.S. housing bubble were just a housing bubble, the U.S. would have had a slowdown, maybe an especially bad savings and loan style bailout with some regional impacts. But balance sheets were blowing up all over the world. In the U.S., it was a housing bubble, but there was a simultaneous housing bubble in Spain, Portugal and Ireland. Greece didn’t have a bubble in housing, it had a bubble in public sector spending. All of these were followed by crashes in which speculators profited from bailouts. Big banks all over the world were insolvent. In other words, the story of the housing crisis is not the story of a regional housing bubble that no one could see, it was market-rigging through derivatives and political corruption, within the confines of a fragile financial global architecture.

As a movie, The Big Short actually portrays the story of an utterly corrupt system, and it’s a beautiful and important film. It does not actually suffer for the problems that I described here, because films as artistic mechanisms can offer partial narratives and audiences know what they are getting. I’m glad it was made. Adam McKay is brilliant, and brilliantly angry. Michael Lewis, however, does not deserve credit for anything except great writing, and deserves scorn for a skewed view of the crisis that excuses his own snotty and dangerous ignorance. Perhaps a view of the crisis from the perspective of clueless and corrupt elites needs to be out there, so clueless and corrupt elites can be persuaded. Let’s make sure, however, that this view is understood as a very specific and biased understanding of what happened.

The US is an example of a government out of control at multiple levels, particularly when it comes to the health "safety" (GMO food, contaminated water, chem trails leading to the contamination of land, water, animals and of it's citizens) refusal to hold the banksters in check and allowing a private owned company - the Federal Reserve - in charge of the printing of fiat money, just to name a few examples of a government out of control.
