I almost feel sorry for Tom Frieden, director of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention). So many of his pronouncements have been eviscerated by events within hours or days. He has become a punchline and should resign for the good of the country.

Unfortunately, the Ebola crisis is no joke. Two Dallas nurses (who are special people in my book) have now become infected after taking care of an Ebola-infected patient who illegally flew to the U.S. when he knew he had been heavily exposed to the deadly virus.

To maintain, as does Dr. Frieden, that stopping travel to the U.S. from the few countries where Ebola is running rampant would somehow harm us is illogical to the point of absurdity. And it is now clear to every other sentient being that Ebola is far more contagious, and deadly, than AIDS, to which Dr. Frieden compared Ebola. The latest nugget is that Amber Vinson, the second Dallas nurse diagnosed with Ebola, called the CDC numerous times before boarding her flight from Cleveland back to Dallas and was told it was OK for her to fly because her fever did not quite reach the protocolized threshold!

I was just thinking! Is it possible that Ebola is a biological weapon to a. decimate the native population in Africa. b. to infect the population of America, requiring marshal law. c. to introduce mandatory vaccination around the world which may increase the death rate of Ebola (population control). d. bring in the cashless currency, because no one will want to handle paper and coin currency for fear of contamination. Don't the people of America understand that Republicans and Demorcrats are under the one roof as are all governments in every country. Obama is not in control, he is doing what tptb are ordering him to do as Bush did. Just thinking with my delirious mind.

I don't think we should underestimate the will and ability of very powerful forces to inflict unimaginable suffering and death upon the people of the world. I also don't think we should ignore the Book of Revelation. I suspect that it might be a sentence and/or a script. Ever heard of the Seven Last Plagues???

Thank you for your comments Firefly and Oxy.
The entire Ebola crisis is open to speculation for sure.
Questions to ask are " who does the situation profit " and " where does the money go " ?
This always lead to someone, somewhere and a " good reason " behind it .

Ebola outbreak: Cashing in on a cure

Since Ebola emerged as a threat late last Spring it’s been great catalyst for story stocks. Ebola kills at a 70% rate! It was a global threat of large but unknowable size. A stock promoter’s dream

NewLink Genetics, Tekmira and others are trying to come up with more effective Ebola cures
Fortunes have been made already in biotech companies rumored to be working on cures for Ebola over the last six months. In the attached clip OptionMonster.com’s Jon Najarian says the easy money has been made but there are still some potential opportunities in company’s that, for want of a better way to put it, profit from Ebola.

Drugmakers to join forces to make millions of Ebola vaccine doses

(Reuters) - Leading drugmakers plan to work together to speed up the development of an Ebola vaccine and hope to produce millions of doses for use next year.

U.S. firm Johnson & Johnson said on Wednesday that it aims to produce at least 1 million doses of its two-step vaccine next year and has already discussed collaboration with Britain's GlaxoSmithKline, which is working on a rival vaccine.

The economics of an Ebola vaccine are still unclear but drug companies with an eye on their reputations are under pressure to respond to the major international health crisis now ravaging one of the poorest corners of Africa.

J&J's head of research Paul Stoffels said it was important to have several experimental vaccine candidates in development, since it is not clear which ones will work, but resources could in future be focused on one clear winner.

GSK's chief executive Andrew Witty told reporters on Wednesday that a meeting of experts in Geneva this week would discuss ways to ensure that all companies, including those with no direct involvement in the Ebola work, pulled together to help remove supply bottlenecks.

There is currently no proven vaccine against the deadly disease and drug companies have been wary in the past of pouring resources into Ebola since previous outbreaks have been small. As a result much of the research effort to date has been driven not by concerns about sporadic outbreaks in Africa but by fears in the West that Ebola might become a bioterror weapon.

The Ebola Story Doesn’t Smell Right

    Paul Craig Roberts

The federal government has announced that thousands of additional US soldiers are being sent to Liberia. General Gary Volesky said the troops would “stamp out” ebola.
The official story is that combat troops are being sent to build treatment structures for those infected with ebola.

Why combat troops? Why not send a construction outfit such as an engineer battalion if it has to be military? Why not do what the government usually does and contract with a construction company to build the treatment units? “Additional thousands of troops” results in a very large inexperienced construction crew for 17 treatment units. It doesn’t make sense.

Stories that don’t make sense and that are not explained naturally arouse suspicions, such as: Are US soldiers being used to test ebola vaccines and cures, or more darkly are they being used to bring more ebola back to the US?

I understand why people ask these questions. The fact that they will receive no investigative answer will deepen suspicions.

Uninformed and gullible Americans will respond: “The US government would never use its own soldiers and its own citizens as guinea pigs.” Before making a fool of yourself, take a moment to recall the many experiments the US government has conducted on American soldiers and citizens. For example, search online for “unethical human experimentation in the United States” or “human radiation experiments,” and you will find that federal agencies such as the Department of Defense and Atomic Energy Commission have: exposed US soldiers and prisoners to high levels of radiation; irradiated the testicles of males and tested for birth defects (high rate resulted); irradiated the heads of children; fed radioactive material to mentally disabled children.

Remember last year's panic about ebola? USAID spent $1.4 billion constructing treatment centers in Africa but nine out of the 11 centers did not treat a single patient. The locals using hygienic products and traditional methods solved the crisis before the US top-down approach. But plenty of contractors did very well in this boondoggle!
