A large system which has formed off the shores of Peru / Chile has managed to pull the entire equatorial flow backwards AND South towards the Southern tip of South America ( towards Antarctica ). In the process this is creating a long line of heavy storms from Papua New Guinea to South America.
The area off the shores of Peru / Chile is the same area experiencing very large Earthquake movement over the past several days.
