BP is set to open up a new well in the same area as the Macondo. They have got to be kiddin' me! Where are the protesters? Is it because there hasn't been time to organize? It's beastly hot and humid on the Gulf Coast now, and the air and water are so fouled. Will anyone go to make a statement? Where will there be a gathering to state our intentions?

The Crime of the Century: What BP and US Government Don’t Want You to Know
Posted by Alexander Higgins - August 7, 2010

Environmental activist Jerry Cope has spent the last few weeks traveling along the Gulf Coast and experiencing firsthand the contamination in the air and water. In an article published on Huffington Post, Cope argues that instead of celebrating the allegedly vanishing oil, we should be concerned about the disappearance of marine life in the Gulf. He describes the Gulf as a “kill zone” and looks into where the marine animals have gone, given that BP has reported a relatively low number of dead animals from the spill.

The unprecedented disaster caused by the BP oil spill at the Deepwater Horizon Mississippi Canyon 252 site continues to expand even as National Incident Commander Thad Allen and BP assert that the situation is improving, the blown-out source capped and holding steady, the situation well in hand and cleanup operations are being scaled back. The New York Times declared on the front page this past week that the oil was disolving more rapidly than anticipated. Time magazine reported that environmental anti-advocate Rush Limbaugh had a point when he said the spill was a “leak”. Thad Allen pointed out in a press conference that boats are still skimming on the surface, a futile gesture when the dispersant Corexit is being used to break down oil on the surface. As the oil is broken down, it mixes with the dispersant and flows under or over any booming operations.

Spike Lee to journalists: “You need to ask questions and not accept the lies being told” by BP and government
    August 8th, 2010

    http://www.floridaoilspilllaw.com/spike-lee-to-journalists-you-need-to-ask-questions-and-not-accept-the-lies-being-told-by-bp-and-government

The Associated Press reports “Spike Lee is calling a ‘lie’ a U.S. government report that 75 percent of the spilled Gulf Coast oil is gone.”

According to the AP, “Lee said journalists should expose what he called the real story. He argued that it’s unlikely that ‘abracadabra, presto chango’ the vast majority of the oil has vanished from Gulf of Mexico waters and coastal wetlands.”

I think Spike is brave to stand up. I share a birthdate with him...he's kinda fearless...and I can't wait to see the movie. I have met lots of folks from New Orleans and area surrounding the Katrina strike zone. Thousands of people showed up at my local community center and we had find places for them to stay. This is the kind of fallout from Earth Changes that quickly fades way from journalistic coverage. The people somehow get absorbed. The trouble with oil and toxic dispersants is that they Don' fade. The stuff is still at the bottom, along with marine life that is decaying. And now they want to open another well? Whew, it amazes me.

Breaking Gulf news: Land Surveyor proves Simmons right. TV well sham.
    August 6

Ammunition fired from the petrochemical-military industrial complex (PMIC) Disinformation non-lethal weapon aimed at the American public and the world has been blocked at least momentarily by one man, a former land surveyor demonstrating Matt Simmons has been correct about the TV Gulf reporting sham and two wells. The surveyor presents the most damning evidence that the operation has been planned and orchestrated with expertise, as AC Griffith publicly stated this week.

The well that the reader sees on TV reports about the oil capping and other scenes are illusions. What the reader hears most talking heads say about the catastrophe is pacification and distraction. The surveyor calls it a "dog and pony show."

    Matthew Simmons just died Shocked

    9/08/2010
    http://zmarter.com/finances-opinions/matt-simmons-has-died-of-a-heart-attack.html

CNBC notes the apparent cause of death of the recently popular BP skeptic, and founder of oil company Simmons & Co., was a heart attack. A conflicting report according to WLBZ cites the source of death as drowning.

NORTH HAVEN, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The Knox County Sheriff's Department says Matthew Simmons, the founder of the Ocean Energy Institute, drowned at his house on North Haven late Sunday night.

Simmons was a leading investment banker for the energy industry and had recently retired to work full time on the new Ocean Energy Institute.

He was a leading proponent of offshore wind power and had started raising money to develop and build offshore turbines.

He and his family had also bought and rebuilt the Old Strand Theater in downtown Rockland.

Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Current Dying
Loop Current in Gulf of Mexico Already Dead

Extreme heat/drought in Russia, Flooding in Asia,
    Killing Cold in South America
All Connected To BP Oil Disaster

    By The Earl of Stirling

Gulf Oil Platform Explosion and Spill - Page 16 800px-Thermohaline_Circulation_2

Our planet is experiencing a real life version of the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" right now. Record breaking heat (up to 39-40C or 100-104F in Moscow) and drought in Russia, heat and flooding in large parts of Asia (China, Pakistan, etc.), and killing cold temperatures in South America are all reflective of a rapidly changing global weather pattern that is caused by dramatic changes in the Gulf Stream and the North Atlantic Current (also called the North Atlantic Drift) and the Norway Current/etc. brought on by the large amounts of oil discharged into the Gulf of Mexico by the BP Oil Disaster.

An Italian theoretical physicist, Dr. Gianluigi Zangari, of the prestigious Research Division of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics at Frascati National Laboratories (LNF) of the National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) in Italy, has come up with some startling scientific findings. Dr. Zangari has specialized in global climate research and analysis. He has found that the massive amount of oil in the Gulf of Mexico, from the BP Oil Disaster, has caused a disruption of the Loop Current in the Gulf. And further, that this has resulted in a dramatic weakening in the vorticity of the Gulf Stream and North Atlantic Current, and a reduction in North Atlantic water temperatures of 10C.

It is a university level physics experiment to use a tub of cool water and inject a colored stream of warm water into it. You can see the boundary layers of the warm water stream. If you add oil to the tub it breaks down the boundary layers of the warm water stream and effectively destroys the current vorticity . This is what is happening in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Atlantic Ocean.

Open Admission, Corexit Sprayed at Toxic Levels, Metals in Rainwater
    August 8, 2010

    http://theintelhub.com/2010/08/08/open-admission-as-bad-as-it-gets/

Speaking of behalf of the Coastal Heritage Society of Louisiana, Kindra Arnesen laid out even more startling information regarding how ineffective and toxic the use of Corexit has been. She started out strong and made it very clear that the buck does not stop with the employee’s that BP has sent throughout the region. The chain of command goes much higher and to blame individual workers is absolutely ridiculous. We must understand that this chemical rape has come from people much higher up than a BP worker who is merely trying to feed his or her family.

Since May 24, 2010 over 1,730,000 gallons of Corexit 9500, a toxic dispersant made by Nalco, have been sprayed into the Gulf of Mexico. The total amount is unknown, most estimates show that over two million gallons of Corexit has been sprayed. After the EPA order to limit the spraying of dispersant, BP sprayed close to one million more gallons!
Apparently, fisherman are pulling up oil in gatorade bottles near areas that are open to fishing!!!

This is open admission by BP and the media that millions of gallons of a deadly neurotoxin have laced the Gulf of Mexico, tainting it’s water, our wildlife, plant life, weather systems, water systems and human life for years to come. We have yet to see the end of this Gulf oil disaster; sometimes it feels as if we have not yet reached the halfway point. One thing is for sure, this is almost as bad as it gets. Yet your president elect and the whole Obama administration fails to respond with vigilance for the American people trapped into this nightmarish reality. A reality hidden by most of the media.

The tests that were done on rain water collected from the gulf showed some startling information. Chloride was found at 650ppm, double the EPA standard! Other metals such as Aluminum and Chromium were found. Whether these were found because of the use of Corexit9500 or possibly the aerial spraying commonly referred to as Chemtrails, remains to be seen.
You can see the test results here. Anyone that has more information regarding where these metals and toxins in the rain most likely came from, you can email us at Tips@theintelhub.com.

If the loop is broken, this means no warmth for Europe this Winter. This could be very serious, and now we are back to Us worrying about our friends on the other side of the Atlantic. In one of the articles, the movie The Day After Tomorrow was mentioned. It's one of those cheesy but well done american disaster movies, but it may be worth a watch because what may happen is a slow motion version of this movie. Then, ya'll can come to the South where it's warm...and we can take toxic air and rain samples together, kay? Sheesh.

The Government is Dealing with the Oil Spill Like the Soviets Dealt with Chernobyl

    http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2010/08/government-is-dealing-with-oil-spill.html

The Soviet Union was famous for covering up its environmental disasters.

As award-winning journalist Dahr Jamail points out in a must-read article about the oil spill:

“It is well known that after the Chernobyl accident, the Soviet government immediately did everything possible to conceal the fact of the accident and its consequences for the population and the environment: it issued “top secret” instructions to classify all data on the accident, especially as regards the health of the affected population,” journalist Alla Yaroshinskaya has written.

In 1990 Yaroshinskaya came across documents about the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe that revealed a massive state cover-up operation, coupled with a calculated policy of disinformation where the then Soviet Union’s state and party leadership knowingly played down the extent of the contamination and offered a sanitized version to the public, both in and out of Russia. To date, studies continue to show ongoing human and environmental damage from that disaster.

When the disaster at Chernobyl occurred, it was only after radiation levels triggered alarms at the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant in Sweden that the Soviet Union admitted an accident had even occurred. Even then, government authorities immediately began to attempt to conceal the scale of the disaster.
But it's not just the communist Soviets ...

The U.S. also has a long history of covering up environmental and health disasters, as shown by the following examples.

Oiled crabs stoke fears spill is tainting food web
By JOHN FLESHER, AP Environmental Writer – Mon Aug 9

    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100810/ap_on_bi_ge/us_gulf_oil_spill_blue_crabs

BARATARIA, La. – To assess how heavy a blow the BP oil spill has dealt the Gulf of Mexico, researchers are closely watching a staple of the seafood industry and primary indicator of the ecosystem's health: the blue crab.
Weeks ago, before engineers pumped in mud and cement to plug the gusher, scientists began finding specks of oil in crab larvae plucked from waters across the Gulf coast.

The government said last week that three-quarters of the spilled oil has been removed or naturally dissipated from the water. But the crab larvae discovery was an ominous sign that crude had already infiltrated the Gulf's vast food web — and could affect it for years to come.
"It would suggest the oil has reached a position where it can start moving up the food chain instead of just hanging in the water," said Bob Thomas, a biologist at Loyola University in New Orleans. "Something likely will eat those oiled larvae ... and then that animal will be eaten by something bigger and so on."

Tiny creatures might take in such low amounts of oil that they could survive, Thomas said. But those at the top of the chain, such as dolphins and tuna, could get fatal "megadoses."

The Gulf BLUE PLAGUE is Evolving
    by Michael Edward

    http://worldvisionportal.org/wvpforum/viewtopic.php?f=52&t=940

I have been interviewing family and friends who live along the Gulf of Mexico coast in Louisiana and Mississippi. Many of them had been working on shrimp boats before May 1, 2010 and a cousin is a shrimp boat owner. I have also spoken at length with two RN's working at a Gulf coast Emergency Room and an Emergency Clinic who are close family friends. I am basing what follows on their observations and knowledge along with my own personal research.

A cousin who owns his own shrimp boat was hired by BP to assist with oil boom and cleanup operations. Other family members were also hired and have been his crew while undertaking BP boom and cleanup assistance operations. They were all forced to sign agreements not to publicly speak about their work or anything about BP operations. Their legal agreements do not mention anything about speaking openly to their families.

STAGE ONE: THE BLUE FLU a/k/a BP Flu

Every one of those working on the shrimp boat have suffered from flu-like symptoms since the end of May, 2010. This includes migraine headaches, eye aches, joint aches, ear aches, severe coughing bouts, fevers, vomiting, and swollen glands (especially in the neck). These same symptoms are being seen in the coastal ER's as well. But as family and the RN's have confirmed, these symptoms are not caused by any viral flu. This is not the same as the Asian Flu or any other viral flu bug. These symptoms are directly caused by a lack of oxygen due to airborne chemicals and toxic gases.

Tropical Weather Moves in on Oil Spill Site

A tropical depression that has suspended BP's drilling in the Gulf of Mexico has weakened somewhat, but forecasters still expect it to become Tropical Storm Danielle.

Heavy rain came up the southeastern Louisiana coast into the New Orleans region early Wednesday. But National Weather Service forecast Shawn O'Neil says that rain was due to an upper-level disturbance not really tied to the depression.

O'Neil says the first true storm bands from the depression will reach the coast later Wednesday.

There are signs the storm is weakening: top winds have dropped to about 30 miles per hour. But O'Neil says a tropical storm is still expected.

O'Neil says that under the current track, the center of storm will make landfall in Plaquemines Parish, move through St. Bernard Parish, then go into Hancock County, Miss.

Crews that are drilling the final feet of the relief well intended to permanently plug the damaged BP oil well deep below the Gulf of Mexico will have to wait two to three days as the storm bears down on the site.

So far the storms have been relatively mild crossing the oil patch. The real damage will be done inland when the first big storm comes and stirs up the gulf and it releases the chemicals below the surface.

The videos above are showing chemical damage to foliage already. Didn't see anything too alarming in first vid with the corn. (I grow corn myself)

Ummm... BP... You Might Need More Duct Tape...

All day long, today, Ocean Intervention III ROV 2 (link goes directly to video feed) has been watching a steady escape of Methane Hydrates rising up from the seabed-- like a steady snowstorm in reverse. It is happening as I type right now. I would LOVE a video grab of it, if a good reader would do me the favor.

It's been constant and steady for over 18 hours, now.

    UPDATE-- got some video.

Like this-- all day long 11August10:

Lots of little columns, slowly rising up.

UPDATE-- Same location, early morning of 11August10 0130CDT:
