3 billion people saw how England was SCREWED by a (blind) refferee, his 2 linesmen & a 4th FIFA official. The latter has access to a monitor & is in direct contact with the ref, but... is not allowed to overrule his descisions!
The ball was clearly half a meter behind the line! It would have been 2-2.
Instead it remained 2-1.
Later today Holland plays Slowacia. The refferee is a notorious (red & yellow) 'card player'.
By the way, the chairman of the FIFA commitee that descides which refferee is in charge of the matches is from Spain & the vice-chairman is Brazilian.
Honestly ...
It seems to me that the FIFA committee are a bit slow to catch up with new technology .There is technology on the market that would give instant replay of an action and certainty that a soccer ball has crossed the line , but it is not adopted by the ruling body . I guess the public will have to put up to a few more referee blunders and the fury of the playing public before certain dinosaurs come to their senses .
