Expose on the CIA and coersive conversion by Christian missionaries in India

A 8 page expose by Tehalka on Christian missionary & CIA nexus around the world and in India, using Christian charity organisations like World Vision and other NGO organisations as front to conduct conversion activities, covert operations and espionage at ground level to profile the people and the political mood of a nation to subvert them eventually. They have been successful in Latin America, Africa and South East Asia and have been doing it in India for sometime now.

The Christian conversion activities are not only attacking the indigenous native culture of India by converting people to an alien and false faith like Christianity but also aiding foreign spy organisations to infiltrate at city, town and village level.

    http://sowingseedsofthought.blogspot.co.uk/2011/02/tehelka-sting-on-christian-missionary.html

    Preparing for the harvest ...

A new mood of aggressive evangelism has been emanating from America. Well-funded, superbly networked,
backed by the highest of the land, seized of its moral supremacy, it has India as one of its key targets, reveals
VK Shashikumar in a disturbing exposé

This could be the plot of a fevered thriller. A jingoistic president, multi-million dollar corporations, high technology, a grand if furtive mission, networks spanning the globe, and biblical invocations.

Only it's real. And its got India in its crosshair.

Religious expansionism has not witnessed this scale, scope, and state resources in a long time. Detailed investigations by Tehelka reveal that American evangelical agencies have established in India an enormous, well-coordinated and strategised religious conversion plan. The operation was launched in the early 1990s but really came into its own after George W Bush Jr, an avowed born-again Christian, became president of the United States in 2001. Since then, aggressive evangelists have found pro-active support from the new administration in their efforts to convert some sections of Indian society to Christianity. At the heart of this complex and sophisticated operation is a simple strategy-convert locals and then give them the know-how and money to plant their own churches and multiply.

Around the time that Bush Jr moved into the Oval office, a worldwide conversion movement, funded and effected by American evangelical groups, was peaking in India. The movement, which began as AD2000 & Beyond and later morphed into Joshua Project I and Joshua Project II, was designed to be a sledgehammer-a breathtaking, decade-long steamroller of a campaign that would set the stage for a systematic, sophisticated and self-sustaining "harvest" of the "unreached people groups" in India in the 21st century. It was just as the operation was taking off that the script changed. Much to the delight of American evangelicals, one of their own, George Bush Jr, became the occupant of the White House.

In a major policy decision taken very early into his presidency, Bush, on January 29, 2001, unveiled a "faith based" social service initiative that included a new White House office to promote government aid to churches and Christian faith-based organisations. This, in effect, threw the massive weight of the federal government behind religious groups and religious conversions. The Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives was set up in the White House in the first week of February 2002 and a man called Jim Towey was appointed director. (A snap introduction to Towey: he was the legal counsel to Mother Teresa in the late 1980s.)
Though Bush's initiative to fund "salvation and religious conversion" is stalled in the Congress over constitutional and civil rights concerns, he has pushed for its implementation through executive orders.

    White House-Christian Coalition nexus

The American press is replete with reports on Bush's largesse to faith-based organisations. They say it's his "return gift" to the Christian Right for having loyally supported his presidential campaign. The Christian Coalition, founded by American TV evangelist and head of the multi-billion Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), Pat Robertson, played a crucial role in the 2000 election. Recently, in his TV programme, Club 700, broadcast on CBN, Robertson created a stir by announcing that he is confident Bush will win the 2004 election in a "blowout" because God has told him so.

Indeed, Bush is keen to retain what we call the votebank and Americans 'the base'. After all, the Far Right Christian evangelists have also been the most loyal backers of his hardline militarism in Afghanistan, Iraq and elsewhere.

But there is another, perhaps more important, reason why Bush is keen on supporting his evangelist friends who run huge transnational missionary organisations (TMOs). In the decade 1990-2000 they ran a global intelligence operation so complex and sophisticated that its scale and implications are no less than staggering. This operation has put in place a system which enables the US government to access any ethnographic information on any location virtually at the click of the mouse. This network in India, established with funding and strategic assistance from US-based TMOs, gives US intelligence agencies virtually real time access to every nook and corner of the country. (See 'List of TMOs Active in India')

Since Bush's ascendancy to the presidency this network of networks has multiplied rapidly in India. Bush supports conversion in India because he supports those American TMOs who fund and strategise conversion activities in this country. Organisations like the International Mission Board, Southern Baptist Convention, Christian Aid, World Vision, Seventh Day Adventist Church and multi-billion enterprises run by evangelists like Pat Robertson, Billy Graham and Roger Houtsma, amongst many others, were instrumental in running a coordinated conversion campaign in India under the banner of AD2000. These later became the Joshua Project and when the decade-long movement officially closed down in March 2001, Joshua Project II was launched to sustain conversions and intelligence-gathering. Graham's TMO, Billy Graham Evangelist Association, supports conversion activities in Gurgaon, Haryana, and Kolkata.

Christian Attack on Indigenous Religions (Again) - Page 2 Empty Christian missionaries attack ethnic religion

Post  Floyd Thu Aug 30, 2012 3:10 am

Missionaries are using the age-old Christian convert-or-kill method on this hill tribe in Thailand, Laos and Burma:
Systematic genocide: rape, abuse, kidnapping children, sterilising women:

Missionaries Destroy Akha Culture and Remove 1000's of Akha Children From Their Families in Thailand
Missionaries Do NOT Believe in "Family Values" for Akha Families [Link, top of site]

American Baptist Missionary Paul Lewis sterilized more than 20,000 Akha Hill Tribe women in Burma’s Eastern Shan State alone. [Link]

US missions in Thailand are involved in sex abuse and human trafficking. [Link]http://akha.blogspot.co.uk/2005_04_03_akha_archive.html#111264927940716063

Other missions are no better, for instance, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA):

NCA staff in Vientiane, they told us that "sex is free with the Akha".
...rapes and the pregnancies forced on Akha women by NCA staff. [Link]

AusAid (Australia) is funding a Missionary Project to kidnap Akha children from their families and force them into mission schools, where:

Sexual abuse of Akha children in these compounds is rife.
...this whole child removal thing that western [all Christian] missions have been doing for the last four hundred years! [Link]

Cultural genocide and demonising of indigenous Akha culture

"The US Missionary "Joshua Project" and Campus Crusade Vow To Destroy All of Akha Culture" [Link]

    Preventing non-religious help:

Denmark students groups blocked from building non religious school in akha village by chinese baptist church of maesai, chiangrai, Thailand! [Link ]

Christian charity: missions feel that only they should "help" the Akha, because non-religious help will not result in conversions.
Converting part of a village, then declaring it a Christian village and banning indigenous beliefs:
Akha Village Split By Taiwan Missionaries (it's Christian missions from everywhere, not just western missions)

The mission operators of these missions are Chinese, Taiwanese Chinese and American Citizens. All these missions, as with most missions in Thailand, are supported by donations from American Evangelical missions organizations and church members.

    West Papua
West Papuans still holding to their indigenous beliefs want an end to terrorist religions trying to convert them. In their own words:

Missionaries are actually in essence terrorists.
... missionary work is more dangerous to indigenous and tribal peoples than any other work on earth that you know. [Link]

Mosques and Churches dominate modern architecture in Papua: "Religion is a tool used by those in power to control the human beings of this earth."
    ...
There are four enemies of the Tribal Community on this earth. They are; 1) Religious organisations 2) Governments 3) Non-Governmental Organisations(NGOs) and particularly the Aid Organisations (AOs) and 4) Multinational Corporations (MNCs).
-- Just Leave us Alone - A letter from a Papuan Tribesman

NGOs, though their name makes them appear harmless, usually tend to be Christian "charity" organisations, bent on missionary (genocide) work.
    The Batak of Palawan
Christian concentration camps again and the eternal terrorism from Christianity - exactly what the Christians did to the ancient Greeks and Romans:

All Batak are forced to be concentrated in camps, to go to church and to send their children to religious or state schools.
...Only a core group of traditional Batak still resists this terror. Since last year, all the Batak have been under heavy terror from several aggressive missionaries.
...The Batak are on the edge of extinction. They are completely dominated by aggressive Christian missionaries. The NGOs who should be assisting them in their struggle are either doing nothing or assisting the genocide.

    Akha Tribe, Burma:
Sterilization and Blood Theft By Missionaries

Rumoured widely for many years, witnesses have now stepped forward who claim that the American Baptist Missionary Paul Lewis sterilized more than 20,000 Akha Hill Tribe women in Burma’s Eastern Shan State alone. This was done secretly without the approval of the Burmese government by requiring the women to go into Thailand for the procedure and using people in the Church hierarchy to organize the movement of the trusting women, who had little education as to what the long-term effects on their lives would be. Although Burma is much maligned for human rights violations, the activities of Western organizations such as this are disregarded by the same agencies making human rights reports.

In addition, blood was stolen from these women for resale, taken during the sterilization procedure. More than 3,000 of the women have died. Many developed a weakened condition and lost weight. The pain related to the surgery did not subside and in the end they died. Now the children of many women have died and obviously they are unable to have more.

In Akha traditional culture, five people serve as the government in one village. This multiperson leadership system in villages was eliminated and replaced by single pastors who rule the villages with an iron fist, allowing no dissent or return to the traditional ways.

The following is severly condensed from the Akha response to the issues of how their language has been manipulated, and how they were deceived over the sterilizations, which continue to this day. This was written by a number of Akha who fear for their safety should they make their names public. Threats have already been made by people involved with the Protestant missions. Send a donation to the Akha Heritage Foundation for the unedited text.

Of the seven ladies who had sterilization in our village, two passed away shortly after. They went to recieve sterilization because they were poor. After being sterilized, since their poverty demands them not to stop their job, they had to face the new disease of feeling pain all the time. Later, they pass away. Those who survived, many are still suffering from various kinds of diseases and social abnormalities. Some became opium addicts, some became very thin and suffer from bleeding. To me it seems like a systematic way of killing our hill tribe, to annihilate us. Why I dare say like that? As they are experts in these fields, they know ahead for sure that those who underwent the operation would not be able to to do hard labor in the rest of her life. Knowing it properly, they persuaded hill tribes women to undertake such an operation. Now I feel very bad for my suffering people. Whom shall I blame—my poor people or those so-called expets who jumped in with lots of money as if they were our benefactors?

Apart from giving money to each patient, [Lewis] also gave all the traveling expenses to them and 3,000 Baht to the agent for bringing the women in. It became a good income for them. Because of this it seemed that many women received only the good stories of what would follow after sterilization; nobody told them the bad side effects.

Especially in Thailand, due to the high levels of prostitution, under the name of safeguarding young women, boarding schools for girls sprout up. But then the girls no longer feel to marry Akha men. So where will the Akha children come from and what will happen to our people and villages? They do not come back to the villages. In this way the Akha women are being taken away from the Akha world. That is why the present education being given by the missionaries should be closed down quickly, then we will be able to preserve ourselves.

Regarding religion, at the beginning it seemed to be very good. Later, it turned out to be division among the people. Some became Catholics, some Protestants, some still holding their ancestors offering while others became Buddists. All these, they could not face to one another. Now we want to raise a question, how good is the Christianity then? If that is good enough, why there are so many groups, teaching about Jesus and yet fighing one another? First they divided our people now they are dividing our villages and families. We seem to be like a prey for them. Better not to have one of them than having all of them.

Christian Attack on Indigenous Religions (Again) - Page 2 Empty Paul Lewis and coersed sterilisation. Covert Genocide

Paul Lewis and coerced sterilisation under the auspices of the Baptists.
This guy is a joker. Christian missionaries carrying out calculated genocide on behalf of the Thai government with support of the American government.

    April 1997
This is the terrible story of the Baptist Church of the Golden Triangle and their extensive sterilisation of the AR-CA people. The AR-CA people are trapped between Burma, Laos and Thailand and are unwanted by any of them. In a venture between the Baptist Church and the Thai government a sterilisation Programme was established in the 60s to render the troublesome hill tribe people barren. As far as the Thai government was concerned it was a step towards extinction for the AR-CA and they couldn't believe their luck when a US religious nut agreed to carry out the work. Dr Paul Lewis was the American who relished his task. We went to find him in Thailand where he still lives today. Lewis tells us 'what happened was that we had to get permission from the government. Their encouragement was that we have too many tribal people already so if we can cut down that's great'. We profile Buma, sterilised 20 years ago and today consumed with pain and regret. Central to the AR-CA way of life is their worship of fertility. Without the ability to produce children many sunk into depression and disease. It's cultural genocide of the worst kind.

Resentment of dubious Christian interference in India by its indigenous population.

This is why people hate the Christians (India) part 1

Sad that anyone has to hate anyone but this is the resentment the white man's religion and coerced conversion causes. Funded by wealthy fundamentalists, aid organisations NGO's and assisted by the CIA and others.

The only encouraging news is that whilst the push on to obliterate non christian religious philosophy abroad, Christianity is being abandoned in the west. slowly but surely. The Baptists (who fund a lot of missionary work in wales have just announced they are closing over half their churches in Wales. The C of E and RC churches in the UK are emptying faster than a gamblers wallet.

Young people are rejecting it. It is encouraging to see.

    Floyd,
Every religion has this dynamic your stating. Should we examine each one and have them fight over each other?

If you are trying to use your soap box to educate people who know nothing of this then kudos.

But if your doing it to promote the integrity of other religions, you are doing yourself a disservice with an intellect such as yours...

Christian Attack on Indigenous Religions (Again) - Page 2 Empty CIA and the real roll of Christian missionaries

Post  Floyd Wed Sep 05, 2012 4:33 am

the CIA and Christian Missionaries in South America, Haiti and the Caribbean up to no good.

CIA flights and breakdown of the indigenous

The primary roll of all Christian missions is to annihilate the local religion and culture and make the indigenous population subservient.

"A mysterious missionary support organization flying weekly "relief flights” to Haiti from the Airport in Venice, FL. may be providing "cover" for CIA covert operations in the Caribbean, the MadCowMorningNews has learned.

Run by an ordained Southern Baptist minister, Agape Flights is a fundamentalist Christian operation which has been involved in some highly un-Christian activities, like flying shipments of food and “religious supplies” on a regular basis to a man accused of plotting a coup in Haiti after being caught importing an M-16, a Beretta, and a camouflage uniform emblazoned with the words "God's Army."

Coming on the heels of revelations of a million dollar unpaid loan to recently-deceased televangelist Jerry Falwell from Wally Hilliard, owner of terror flight school Huffman Aviation, the news marks the second time fundamentalist Christian groups have surfaced recently in unexplained operations at the Venice Airport.

An agenda other than that of the Almighty?

What is there that suggests U.S. covert intelligence involvement in Agape Flights?

Absent a CIA parking pass on the dashboard of one of the SUV's in Agape's parking lot, a web of connections offers clues that Agape may be serving agendas other than that of the Almighty:

    · The group's links to the controversial Summer Institute of Linguistics, accused in the Latin American press of being funded by American intelligence to export a virulent brand of Christian fundamentalism to undermine the social cohesion of aboriginal communities and eliminate obstacles to natural resource exploitation.

    · Suspected involvement in the aforementioned CIA-backed coup in Haiti, explored more fully in our next story.

    · U. S. Treasury Dept. permission for Agape to fly regularly to Cuba. (Michael Moore, take note.)

    · Oddly, Mohamed Atta's flight instructor at Huffman Aviation, Mark Mikarts, flies for Agape. Even more oddly, Mikarts used to be someone else.

Spies often use aliases, don't they?

“It was gone for a split second, and then it was twice as loud. All of a sudden, in my window, in my view, was the airplane. It was coming right at me.”

As she watched in horror through her living room window, a small plane, later identified as a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air 90, headed straight for her, crashing into her yellow wood-frame house between the sunroom and a bedroom and then exploding in a blast of fire.

“You could smell and taste the fuel,” Tate said.

The pilot, Steve Huisman, who also worked for Agape Flights, died instantly.

“This has been a pretty overwhelming time," Agape’s Charlie Gardner said, adding that staff members at Agape Flights were visiting with Huisman's wife Sonja and his four children, all younger than the age of 10.”

Spraying for Med-flies... in a hurricane?

The men had been flying a mission from Sarasota, newspapers reported, to release sterilized Mediterranean fruit flies.

But because there was no flight plan filed for the flight, investigators said it wasn't clear where they'd flown before the crash.

The explanation for why the plane was flying in the first place sound a little thin. We could, if given time, come up with reasons to take off into near-hurricane conditions...

But spraying for Med flies isn’t one of them. Nor were we alone in our suspicions...

“Many people are asking why a small plane that crashed while attempting an emergency landing near Tampa was flying on a day when a hurricane churned in the gulf,” reported the Tampa Tribune.

“Witness Bill Povey told police he heard the plane just before the crash, and thought it was flying low, and wondered: "Who is flying in this weather?

    Sharing Christian faith in Afghanistan

At the time of the crash Huisman was flying for a company called Dynamic Aviation, while still flying for Agape.

If we are correct in our hypothesis, both companies work for THE Company, making them virtually interchangeable.

Huisman was “a tall, straight-shooting, family man with four kids, a hearty appetite and a faith that literally motivated him to fly,” with an "infectious smile and a life-long desire to share his Christian faith.”

“Huisman, 41, grew up in Papua New Guinea, the son of missionary Wycliffe Bible Translators. He trained to become a missionary pilot at Moody Bible Institute… He had moved to Florida five years ago to work for Agape Flights in Sarasota, where his work brought him to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.”

“Part of what attracted Huisman to Dynamic was the opportunity to fly to Afghanistan for the company,” the Tampa Tribune reported.

“On those flights, he carried supplies as well as passengers. And while the Middle East trips did not have a religious function, friends said Huisman always found ways to minister to those around him.”

    Secret History Weather-Watch

Strangely, the plane that crashed was photographed by one of the ubiquitous plane-spotters, who wrote:

"Call me paranoid, but I think someone or something is staring back at me from the last window."

Huisman's trips to Afghanistan would be something of a red flag, CIA-wise. Then, at Dynamic Aviation's company website we found their rather grandiloquent and very Homeland Security-ish motto:

    “PARTNERS SAFEGUARDING EARTH.”

Does Pilot Huisman’s involvement with Dynamic Aviation, of Bridgewater, VA help penetrate the façade to the real secret history?

Another intriguing tidbit about Dynamic Aviation is that in 1996, the company purchased the U.S. Army's fleet of 124 non-pressurized BE-90s, enabling the company to significantly broaden its scope of operations, to include fire management and airborne data acquisition.

The Pentagon had out-sourced its airline of small planes to Dynamic Aviation.

    White Man's Burden, 2007

Husiman’s biography also offers clues to what's being hidden.

“Huisman, 41, grew up in Papua New Guinea, the son of missionary Wycliffe Bible Translators.”

    Sounds innocuous enough.

But “Wycliffe Bible Translators” is the polite name for a notorious organization known as the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) which has been accused in numerous articles in the Latin American press of being funded by American intelligence.

SIL is, according to the book “Thy Will be Done,” “the vanguard of the destruction of both the rainforests and their native inhabitants...in military fashion, a scouting party that surveyed the Amazonian hinterlands for potential sources of opposition to natural resource exploitation (read cattle ranching, clear-cutting and strip mining.)

Christian Attack on Indigenous Religions (Again) - Page 2 Empty Christian Imperialism

Post  Floyd Mon Sep 17, 2012 1:15 pm

Christian missionaries are essentially colonialists working for Christian cultural Imperialism

The religious and cultural Imperialism performed by missionaries nearly always goes hand-in-hand with political and economic Imperialism. Christian missionaries often work in partnership with the CIA, with the US government, and with wealthy corporations to subvert the religion, the culture, the economy, and the politics of vulnerable indigenous populations. The CIA often uses planes owned by Christian missionary organizations and flown by Christian missionary pilots to smuggle drugs, arms, and prisoners. The USA 's Faith Based Initiative law provides Christian missionary organizations with taxpayer funds that are used to proselytize Christianity to indigenous populations throughout the world. Christian missionaries are the leading edge of a religious, cultural, economic, and political aggression supported by the US government.

When missionaries bring outside wealth to an impoverished Third World country and use that wealth to provide services that are meant to attract converts, they are interfering with the local social and economic structure as well as the local cultural traditions. Indigenous people who take advantage of the privileges provided by the missionaries and convert to Christianity partake in a social organization that uses foreign wealth as a tool to eliminate the indigenous culture and replace it with Christianity.

    The Truth about World Vision

World vision is just one of the evangelical outfits that have deceptively packaged their activities under freedom of religion with tacit support from the US Government.

    World Vision
, the world’s largest Christian church mission agency, has traditionally been closely linked with successive American governments. The former US Ambassador for International Religious Freedoms, Dr Robert Seiple, was World Vision chief for 11 years till 1998 when he was picked by former president, Bill Clinton, to head the office of International Religious Freedoms. Around the period when Seiple was the president of World Vision, its vice-president from 1993 to 1998 was Andrew S. Natsios. He is now the administrator of the US Agency for International Development (USAID). For more than 40 years, USAID has been the leading government agency providing economic and humanitarian assistance to developing countries.

Its mission statement clearly states: “World Vision is an international partnership of Christians whose mission is to follow our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, in working with the poor and oppressed, to promote human transformation, seek justice and bear witness to the Good News of the Kingdom of God .”

Though World Vision has consultative status with UNESCO and partnerships with UN agencies like UNICEF, WHO, UNHCR and ILO, the fact is that its financial records reveal that it has funded evangelical activities all over the world including India . World Vision uses its international clout and its close links with the US government through USAID to network with governments and corporate entities in the developing world. What goes unnoticed by the governments and the corporate world is World Vision India ’s evangelical missions as part of its development agenda.
