Fukushima victims: homeless, desperate and angry - About 80,000 people were forced to leave their homes by the nuclear crisis.
(Reuters) - At last, victims of Japan's nuclear crisis can claim compensation. And they are angry. They are furious at the red tape they have to wade through just to receive basic help and in despair they still cannot get on with their lives seven months after the huge quake and tsunami triggered the world's worst nuclear disaster in 25 years.

I hear that the Japanese government will raise taxes within the next two years to cover Fukushima's damage, ranging from GST to income taxes to prefecture taxes, et cetera. I still have friends around Nagoya and they're starting to fret.

The nuclear plant was most probably built with tax-payers money. Then they had to pay for the energy while the entire profit went somewhere else. Now they will be taxed more to pay for Fukushima damage.

And yet the news out here in Australia is that the Japanese banks have so much money that they are setting up banks here to compete with our greedy banks and make even more profit. God Forbid they should give any of this 'extra money' to help their own people. Why are we even surprised anymore that they make the people pay for their own misery. They do it in so many different ways, even down to setting up charities that we donate to to help our fellowman. Mad 1
