The Great Simulator
The Morning choice challenge Every morning when you will wake up in your human body you will be inundated with thoughts. These thoughts will try and convince you that you are a human being.
As you are only experiencing life as a human being, such thoughts are fundamentally inaccurate. But then this is all part of the illusion.
Most urban people tend not to think: “It’s really a fantastic blessing to be alive”.
More typically most urban people find themselves thinking: “Another day to get through”.
“Getting through another day” would obviously be easier if you felt a surge of energy and enthusiasm rise through your body. So here is a tip to help that happen.
Instead of getting lost in illusory thoughts, connect with the world outside you.
In the country it is easy to sense the plants, the ocean, the sun and stars, etc.
But there are birds, trees and water around us in the cities too. Sense the freedom of the birds that you see as you wait for your train or sit in traffic.
Allow yourself to feel this as opposed to merely imagining it.
Do this properly and you will instantly feel more alive and happier. You will also experience a mild recollection that you are only visiting.
This will make you more energised for the day, whilst actually requiring no effort beyond remembering to connect with the world you are choosing to visit.
As the expression goes “Try this at home”.
It’s your choice as to how you experience a day on Earht.
