    The spectre of a clone food free-for-all came a step closer yesterday.

    Ministers want to allow the unrestricted sale of meat and milk from so-called Frankenfarm animals.

    They are ready to reject the idea of a ban as ‘disproportionate in terms of food safety and animal welfare’.

    The move was immediately condemned by campaigners who warned that cloning poses a serious threat to animal welfare.

    If it comes to it, I may object strongly to cloned Bananas Crazy Happy

    As for the cloned meat, yeah, that's going to churn stomachs if they knew what they were eating and labelling standards and rules have alot to be blamed for. I suppose when people cotton-on to it, they (the governments and big-Ag) will change the name of "cloned" or "meat" to confuse people as to the real contents.

    We don't want this crap..

    I am a veggie as well .
    But did you know that animals products are integral part of fertilizers used
    in agriculture as for example bones calcinated or not and Nitrogen from animal and human waist.
    Not even considering animal cloning cows that feed on grass are fed animal products that go in the flours they are given today.
    How far from nature's laws all this has become nowadays !

    I wonder when they will release the studies that shows how cloned meat alters human DNA. Best to use this for dog and cat food instead of human consumption.
