Christmas Wallpapers
Hello everyone. It is getting close to the Christmas. Christmas is my favorite time of year. I have seen some of the amazing pictures that some of the members obtain. I have to say they are breath-taking. I am looking for some good wallpapers for the Holidays. So if any of you have any will you please post them? Thanks. Merry Christmas everyone. I always celebrate early. I got my tree up and my decorations going.

Don't know if this will fit for wall paper...but I love it....... You should have heard that loin roar putting up the outside lights.....not one strand worked in full.

Re: Christmas Wallpapers
Christmas is a time of Love, Joy and Communion. A very magical time of year. Not only do I like the decorations, the lights, and the celebration, I always like to celebrate my Love for Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Especially the love I have for the people on Earth, it is a very special time for me. It is a great time for being with my Parents. I look forward to having Christmas with my children and my wife. I also enjoy Christmas music of all sorts. Especially the big band, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Nutcracker Suite, love all of the Christmas movies.
I also want a White Christmas. It has been a very long time since I have enjoyed a White Christmas. I enjoy everything about it.

I will not judge that.
Shame that it`s being turned into materialistic orgy for corporate world.
I am sure if Jesus wanted us to celebrate his birthday we would know the exact date. but with 25th we are stuck with Saturnalia`s feast from ancient Rome.
But as I said I will not judge for you know in your heart what does it mean for you.
We are creating reality and when we give emotion to it it comes alive.
If you give Love emotion to it then it`s good.
I can`t send you wallpapers since I don`t celebrate Christmas. But sending you my best with Love and Blessings.

Re: Christmas Wallpapers
This will be my very first Christmas without my boys. One thing is for sure. I love my new place of residence...but I've never been this far away from my sons for this long. I am adjusting well enough though. This is also one of my favorite holiday as well Suriel. I think that's because of the spirit of giving. And I'm not talking about the material giving. but the giving from the heart. My boys were very good at doing that for me. It's a heartwarming time of year that I wish would go on forever. Who knows, perhaps in the very near future, it will be that way...you can only hope

Re: Christmas Wallpapers
Suriel, you and my husband both are a lot alike when it comes to Christmas. He already picked up the tree on the weekend and it is currently sitting in the bathtub outside. He loves Christmas music and always has it going and we do have the old Jimmy Stewart movie ready to watch while we put up the tree. It is magical with the lights glowing and the smell of pine. Usually I would use the weekend of Thanksgiving to do up the Christmas cards but am slow this year.

Re: Christmas Wallpapers
Yes Carol I am very traditional when it comes to Christmas. I try to make the atmosphere magical. I also think it is good for the kids.
I came close to getting a pine tree candle earlier, I need to remember to pick one up next time I am at the store.
My favorite movie for Christmas is "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." I try to keep the DVD out of reach of toddler hands. The Rudolph DVD got cracked and broken and I had to throw it away. Now I need to get another copy.
Favorite old fashioned Christmas tunes I like come from the 30s and 40s. Especially the kind where you can here the cracks and pops from the old records.
As I got older, my view of Christmas changed over the years. Yes I am aware of retail corporate agendas. But I still try to enjoy my life as much as possible. Anyone got any blue and white Christmas wallpapers?
Santa is very real. I am Santa. In spirit anyway. Silver Bells is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Sugar Plum Fairies is another.
I am a small town kind of guy. But still no white Christmas. I live in a warmer climate area where winter kicks in January.
When the kids get older we will be building Ginger Bread Houses.

Re: Christmas Wallpapers
We've lived in small towns since 1990 and love the rural atmosphere. Lots of white Christmasses in the early years and now green in the tropical area here with flowers in bloom. One of the prettist years was at our house in the woods surrounded with pine trees with lots of snow. Standing outside in the freezing cold looking in through the lighted window and how everything glowed in a soft golden light was an image that always stayed with me. Jimmy Stewart's movie is "It's a Wonderful Life." My favorites are all of them. When our daughter was little we watched all of the Winnie the Pooh videos which were charming. I always listen to the nutcracker and even have it with skaters dancing on ice. When younger we read her lots of Christmas books with pop up pictures. Of course a family outing including driving at night looking at people's homes and their light displays. Caroling with the church choir. We like to attend midnight mass as well and sometimes open a few presents when we get home afterwards. I like to keep it simple with the gift giving and will downsize even more this year as the gifts will be food. Shortbread cookies, jelly beans, chocolate bars - each person will get their favorite treat. I'm tired of the stuff and commercialism. This is pretty much over for me. Our daughter is currently listening to German Christmas Carols and writing stories. She loves Christmas time and already worried about the tree outside in the bathtub.
Here's an early present for you Suriel.
