Permaculture is a design-based approach to practical sustainability, using systems thinking and approaches that combine regenerative ethics with ecological principles to create ssutaianble environments. Permaculture was developed in teh sub-troics (Australia) and thus there was some debate about how well it could adapt to practiced in Temperate climates. THis film dispenses with any such worries. In this documentary, we take a look at a case study of permaculture in rteh Austrian Alps, which is snowed over for much of the year. DEspite this, by using peramcultrue design and a lifetime's experince, the farm here produces abundant adn diverse yeilds, while attracting interest from people and resturants far and wide.

After spending 15 yrs in the Organic fruit and veg trade. Permaculture is the one extra step that changes everything.

I am a real fan of these systems. the principal idea is that working hand in hand with nature, means nature starts working for you. This can be applied to every aspect of life. Building houses, transporting goods, every aspect of life. A real basis for a brighter future.

Is there anyone here running a permaculture system? Waiting to get my building plot to real get some systems going.

What a paradise can be built with some deep connection
and understanding of Mother Nature.
If I still have a dream it is to see this philosphy of
life spreading more and more so we can energize our dear
planet . And then maybe , if this is on my way to be able
to live and contribute every moment of my life on such land of my own .

Case Study: A Permaculture Food Revolution in Poland




We take a tour of Poland's emerging permaculture scene and find that forest gardening, formerly a traditional way of producing food for families, is gaining popularity once again as is the movement against industrial agriculture.

Permaculture concepts have now spread beyond the garden. Around 1.5 million traditional small farms are now producing food for their families and selling their surplus as additional income.
