WINTER SOLSTICE, FULL MOON, TOTAL LUNAR ECLIPSE & 2012 GALACTIC ALIGNMENT ACTIVATION


On Tuesday December 21, 2010 something truly wonderful is about to happen!! On this day of the annual Winter Solstice when the sun enters the astrological sign of Capricorn, there will be a full moon and a total eclipse of the moon. In addition, there will also be a meteor shower, and all of this will be happening within the final mercury retrograde period of the year. The month really begins on the 4th with the new Moon at 13 degrees Capricorn, the Sabian symbol here is "An ancient bas-relief carved in granite", and talks of legacies that last. This symbol reminds us that there are things that can be built to last but we must not cling blindly to tradition, some limitations can be healthy but not if they don't allow room for positive growth. The chart for the new Moon has Mars and Pluto both thrown into the mix though happily they sit either side of the new Moon and are not conjunct..that would be too much. The new Moon energy seems a bit hard and it may be back to work with a bump after the festive season. There doesn't seem to be much room for messing about and all eyes are on the control switch, power battles are likely and everyone will be trying to steer the boat. Frustration is likely to occur and restrictions will come in the form of others being too controlling.

Saturn is squaring the new Moon and Mars but there are a pair of nice quintiles from Jupiter and Uranus in Pisces so we have a unique creative solution available. I'm thinking that this indicates a big culmination and emotions are going to be running very high for anyone personally affected. A big one for the month is Jupiter shifting back into Aries, it leaves the retrograde shadow fully by the middle of next month. Upon entry it is possible that issues from last August/September will be brought back into focus. Jupiter in Aries is impulsive and adventurous, it is its own guru and it wants everyone to be optimistic and child-like. The negative side of Jupiter in Aries is that it can be overbearing when trying to get the message across, there is also the danger of being too aggressive in the face of opposition. It stays until June and will have a few battles along the way, mainly with Pluto and Saturn....should be fun!

Saturn turns retrograde on the 26th, traditionally this marks a time of psychological withdrawal in order to work on the structure of the self. It doesn't turn direct until June and affects those who have cardinal planets between 10-17 degrees most strongly and you can add five degrees either side of that for an influence to be felt. If you are strongly affected and in a relationship it is highly likely you'll have to do some renovation work to do or you'll run the risk of total collapse at a later date.
