Record floods turn to record snowfall early in the N. Hemisphere winter. The Panama Canal reopens due to massive rainfall refilling Lake Gatun, the canal’s main water source. Water vapor lingers in the upper atmosphere from the Hunga Tonga volcanic eruption, so how long before the rest of the water comes out and the floods stop?
