Oh good, I wish I shared your confidence. Mudra I have no wish to be disrespectful however, I was beginning to think that the board should be renamed to something like THEeXchangers Narcissistic Sh1tshow
Right now, I don't care if I get banned for this comment and I feel I must stand up and say something inappropriate to call attention to it because being nice and being patient and being overly tolerant has only emboldened the attention-seeking narcissist responsible for the spam even more.
This board has turned into something else by allowing this spam cancer to go unchecked.
I will not go quietly into the mists, nor watch the mists sink into irrelevancy and away from the core principles and values it used to uphold, as when it came into existence. The mists are themselves now lost in its own mists blinded and desecrated.

Meh... my answer is NO, I will not confront an energy vampire with 100% Narcissistic qualities (btw last night I studied thoroughly this mental illness) and can say that any confrontation will bring out all manner projectional accusations, paranoia, playing the victim, and other childish tactics. I won't give energy to it. It would be akin to putting out the flames with an accelerant. The attention given to it will be loved, whether your words would be positive or negative.
That entity - whatever it is, behind the persona THEeXchanger needs to seek professional medical help and posting privileges revoked.
It is toxic to the forum as a whole.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
Indeed this is a problem because many of Exchangers threads can easily be merged. I also post at GLP and keep all of my posts confined to one thread so that I don't have to hunt for my posts every time I'm there. Others have expressed the similar concerns. I'll PM her. Generally for this type of situation I prefer the members work it out between themselves. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be working at this juncture.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
I have a suggestion.
If susan could agree to keep all her posts in one thread until she learns how to operate effectively in here then she would fulfil her daily click quota and we can watch if so inclined. I would also like to see her agree not to turn the mists into a social media platform, and not to cross post in here in general, but specifically not to re-post her social media posts (mostly gab) in here.
I still have susan blocked, but navigation in here is compromised and worthwhile posts are being obscured or hidden. I can only imagine what anybody new to the forum would think. She is capable of constructive input in here. If she can behave I would unblock her. I dislike censorship in principle, however much I might disagree with what is being produced.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
I my opinion this can be handled by pointing the matter out to Suzan.
In the past Susan was posting in a less dispersed and more organized way.
So its not as if she is unable to do that.
Imho everyone deserves to be told face to face where they slipped so they can
correct themselves accordingly.
Secondly now that such an unprecedented situation has been encountered
I would suggest to learn from it and turn it into a forum rule.
This way we will save ourselves similar problems in the future.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
The only thing i am guilty of is putting up too much information
and, you have a posting board that puts everything into one list
(unlike other boards, where things go only to the sections)
NEVER-THE-less , I HAVE REMOVED most of my posts
(i hope this makes you happy)
MY INTENT has never been a bad one
when a lot of people got banned for fighting
at the end of project avalon/and camelot
i was one of the only 'peaceful one' that did NOT get banned
because i refuse to fight with people
~that is NOT how i operate
part 1 of 2

Re: The Drama, closer to home
To be guilty Susan you should be responsible to have broken a law.
To my knowledge this is not the case.
This is more of an upset created by an avalanche of information you posted
in a very short period of time on a tiny platform.
This resulted in a sudden overwhelm of posts some of them that could have been easily grouped
into a few threads. I would consider this a lack of discernment in organizing your posts to the most.
I don't see why this argument could not be settled in a decent manner between members.
I personnally believe you meant no harm , that your intent was not ill directed but rather dispersed .
Organize your posts better as you were doing in the past and you will encounter no problem here.

i do NOT understand
the original posters chart
does it show i'm on the site too much ???
or; that i am reading a lot of different people's posts
(do you think that might be;
so; i don;t duplicate the info i'm adding if you already have it )
or; are you eluding to the fact;
i must have an army of 15 of us;
working on the internet; and; i'm a secret agent of Q ?
(or; that i don;t sleep ???)
i'm not sure; what do each of the columns mean
i'm sure others would like to know too
instead of assuming i know; i don;t
therefore; i am asking for clarification on your chart columns
thank you

Re: The Drama, closer to home
Susan, the only issue was the number of new threads started where folks had trouble finding their old ones. This is new unexpected behavior on your part as you've not done this in the past, so it's confusing as to why now.
On one hand I appreciate all your effort as it takes part of the burden off of me finding info to share. So thank you for that. And on the other hand all the extra threads can be a hassle to comb through when I'm looking for one of my threads I want to update. In fact I was somewhat astonished at how far they had slipped down the list and had wondered if they had somehow gotten lost. So there is that.
Choosing some topics that you enjoy and putting topic related posts into those gives depth to the topic. So that would be appreciated.
I did send you a PM. If you consolidate some of your threads that would be terrific. PAX

I have not clue as to what you're referring to. What chart columns?

Nor do I know what this is referring to. If I find something offensive along the lines of being porn I just delete it.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
i think it means
i made 167 replies to posts
- some to my own
and, also i posted to others peoples posts too ?
if i have 4000 posts
since 2010/2011 ?
i am NOT so unsure that my amount of posts
in the period of a week
when i haven't posted or updated
my threads in awhile, would be all that strange ?
except, maybe the lion share of my 4000 + posts
are only to 2 or 3 threads on The Mists ?
The final column is HOW MANY PEOPLE
are looking at the posts, seems some of you
on the list are pretty popular
~so, i'm NOT sure why how many people
viewing the posts is a problem
it is actually a good thing they are being seen
i did NOTICE quite a few likes to my posts
but, sadly, I REMOVED them,
because apparently they were disturbing to everyone,
makes me wonder, is everyone like 3 people, 6 people, 9 people, 12 people ?
NOW, if the owner of the board makes $'s by the views
having views is actually something that is very good
some sites make 1,000,000's per year on the views
i have put 2 people on my foes list V.M. and, emonkey

Re: The Drama, closer to home
Okay.. the 4,000 plus posts were since you first became a member. So that is where that number came from. You also have a number associated with the number of threads you started. And another number associate with replies. The view numbers are all good because that means people are interested in your topics.
Next, I make no $ from this forum for anything. Both Mercurial and I are the ones who pay to keep the forum going. It isn't expensive and so it's our gift to the members. This is a spiritual calling for me. The forum is free for anyone who wishes to be a member or partake.
In addition. I've provided pro-bono work/service for the past 25 years in all of the different type of community and personal counseling work I've provided to others. I'm not interested in making money. Never really have been other than to be able to make a living and support family. I've always thought that true wealth resides within.
Mists is a safe space for people to post what's important or of interest to them. Basically the forum is self-moderating. My primary role is to respond to members when them PM me with an issue. Sometimes it's about technical issues, sometimes a complaint about another member's behavior. My preference is that the members work out their issues between themselves.
As for the "like" feature. That is new and something that the updated forum program did itself. We've never had it until this past year. I tend to ignore this feature for personal reasons.
Our intention at Mists is to create a friendly type of environment that allows for different perspectives, while we individually bring to the table in threads and posts, our various insights, personal experiences and knowledge. Easy peasy.
I hope this clarifies things.

Re: The Drama, closer to home
I see things are the same in here, ie just as bad as before. So I presume our requests not only fall on deaf ears but elicit a negative response which sees even more disruption to the mists and fuels speculation as to susan's intentions.
As mudra says, it will pass.
Most folk use the mists in attempt to be of service to others, and we can can thank Carol for her time and energies.
Almost all of the responses to susan's spam are from susan herself. She even spams her own spam. Her Gab posts are ignored largely in gab, so she copies them in here, and folk are not responding either, except to say please curb the spam. She wants to divert folk to her own forum, so does she indeed get paid for clicks? That would explain a lot. But why isnt her own forum sufficient for her? Does nobody engage her there either?
As susan never created such a drama in here until recently, both prior to and subsequent to her ban, she clearly can behave normally. So why doesnt she behave now? Just fear of the world? craving attention? what is it?

I understand your point of view Vidya as well as the concern you and eMonkey have shown to protect our platform. This is appreciated.
As far as I can see today things have returned back to some normal or so it seems.
We will see.
For me time to move on.
