Interesting destinations. I'm not sure why -- but I thought they were interesting. Hope you have a happy and safe journey, Carol. Thank-you for your hard work on this site. Thank-you for allowing me to make this site my 'home away from home'. If I were doing this over, I'd do things very differently. I wish I could start over. Namaste.

Thank you - however, this is a working family business trip instead of a holiday. And unfortunately my son's furniture is still in customs, so I'll likely be sleeping on a couch for two nights before off on the next leg. Wouldn't it be grand if we could just pack up our bed and pillows and take it with us?

I once quipped to my friend that if we could have a portal between our two places, it would be like having another room in your house!

I think I'm carrying more food as gifts then clothes along. Got the packing down to one very small carry-on bag and one tote.

When flying out from Hawaii islands dont they have a separate line to check-in for passengers with food, plants and seeds? Doesn't it require spec. approval?

Thank you devakas. Everything goes through 2 inspections. An agricultural one for what you mentioned and the other searched and x-rayed. I keep food in the carry on tote so it can be easily x-rayed and searched.

Hi everyone... back home - more on this later. Never worked so hard in my life. Up at 5 am and to bed at 10 or 11 pm. Now I remember what we used to do before TV or the internet. We worked from dawn to dusk and then some.
