A new report has shown how radiation from the stricken Fukushima nuclear power plant in Japan spread quickly across the Pacific Ocean. The study found Radioactive Iodine in kelp beds along the California coast stretching from Santa Cruz to Laguna Beach. The study, published in Environmental Science & Technology, noted the levels were significantly higher than those found in North American vegetation following the Chernobyl disaster in 1986.
