Elizabeth Claire Prophet, co founder of Summit Lighthouse, predicted a nuclear war in the 90's. Many of her members handed over all of their wonga (cash) to her when they began to build shelters in the states in a place they called Camelot.
This movement was born out of an earlier New Religion, the I AM activity founded buy Guy Ballard in the 30's who was later done for mail fraud.
Prophet's son runs his own website debunking his mother and his father, Mark Prophet who is largely responsible for popularising the I AM movement from the 70's until his death.
