PA2 is playing up again. You can get on the forums but the threads are timming out. About time they changed the forum provider. Then again all thats being touted seems to be doom and gloom so no big lose really.

I haven't been able to log in since being on the new IP in Oregon. Things have changes so drastically with PA/PA2 that it really wasn't holding my interest much to begin with anyway. Ever since they threatened to ban me just for posting Mists link made me realize what was special about PA is no longer at PA2.

That's the main problem at PA2.Things have changes so drastically with PA/PA2 that it really wasn't
holding my interest much to begin with anyway.
The first pages of threads started are often filled up with 'thank you for this fantastic info' replies. Fantastic info for 5 - 15 year olds perhaps, but I hardly ever stumble over real eye-opening info. Or interesting view points & challenging 'what ifs'.
What made PA1 so special were the many 'specialists on different topics, some posting only a few times a year, but often with excellent info.
Then there was this German guy, Samvedo or something like that, who was really bloody smart, but not NICE enough. So the facts were right, but the way he wrote it down wasn't 'love & lighties' enough. Well, let me tell you, for a GERMAN he was.
It's often difficult for not native English posters, to write what you had in mind in your own language. And German is a language with beautiful German expressions, which become a bit rude, if translated.
Let alone the fact that Germans are rude, arrogant bastards, by nature! This is a fact the whole world should know by now! They are far worse than the French, ever were!
But this rude German twit brought with him amazing knowledge on many different topics. RESEARCHED knowledge.
He was often even brighter than Holie Bill.
Well, I suppose everyone can guess what happend to Schweinhund Sam. Not?

"SamVedo" does post here some ..... but i think he's a bit shy about the possibility of being re-banned, re-misted, or just plain re-sented! maybe i shouldn't be speaking for him ..... but i have heard remarks to that effect (from him). Believe it or not ..... even TMOA can be intimidating ...... there's definitely a "love & light" ethic here too that someone "once burned" might be a bit reluctant to test for its resiliency and its grounding in common sense (am i making any sense to ya'll??).)

I know what you are saying hippihill about the predominant love and light stuff here, not really my bag all the damn time, and a few others are somewhat irascible like myself. If it was down (or up) to me, there would be swearing allowed, ( maybe even mandatory) it's kind of like saying you can't have certain colours of crayons in the box, but ne'er mind, the communication is the thing, the wider the spectrum of knowledge and heartsets the better.

Well - I'll tell Ya one thing unless I'm Fighting and I don't do that very often any more - The more Intelligible People are to Me (Meaning They can get across an Idea Intelligently without having to cuss) - The more I listen and try to understand Them. The more that I speak Intelligently sans Profanity/Vulgarity - The more I'm listened to and understood as well.

Well jumping on the German band wagon here, my grandmother was German and my husband and his entire family is German. So obviously Germans are very welcome and so are irascible fellows with lots of humor.
I'm not big on banning either as different viewpoints are welcome as well. As Mercuriel said, no vulgarity. To my mind a single word now and again isn't that big of a deal... it's when there are so many of them in a single sentence that my eyeballs start to twitch.
I will add that I was married to a full blooded Scot for 9 years and he couldna get a sentence out with out s***, f*** or damn. Needless to say I did divorce him because he was so full of f* s*, I couldna stand it no longer.

By my knowledge English is actually the only language where the 'f-word' is as often used like that - and by so many people. And most of these bleedin' motherf#ckers aren't even aware of it!
