    Movie: “Leave the World Behind”
    - An Instant Classic in the Genre of Hitchcock and the Twilight Zone

After watching this movie for a SECOND time, I felt it necessary to explain more about the movie. This movie is an art film, with good writing, directing and acting. It has a few flaws like the occassional bad language and unexplained details at times, but overall, it comes across as a very creepy, mystery, suspense film, where you aren’t sure where it is headed.

It is basically a pre-dystopian setting where something has happened with the power grids, cell phones, TV stations and the internet. The filming of the movie is outstanding, with well-placed shots that set the mood as if you are right there with them.

Then you add the suspenseful music and you have a complete package of a quality film that is worth remembering.

I won’t go into great detail on the subject matter, but what I found very interesting was a conversation this man had with the other man’s wife.

He was telling her about this billionaire that he handles his money and stocks, and how he had him move around huge amounts of assets and money, as if he was preparing for something catastrophic.

Then the man tells the broker that he goes an annual special meeting with “the evil cabal that rules the world”. Then the billionaire laughs a little.

But the last time he sees the broker at a New York philharmonic concert, he looks at him in a serious manner and says “take care of yourself”, as if he felt sorry for him.

After a few strange events take place out on Long Island where they were located, he says to the lady, “what the wealthy elite are concerned about was something happening on a global scale, that the cabal didn’t start, and no one is pulling the strings, it can’t be stopped, and nothing will ever be the same again.” (paraphrasing)

The end result would be the breakdown of society, a government coup, civil war, chaos, bombings, and lack of order. Afterwards an enemy, any enemy, or more than one, could then invade the US and take over with ease.

The basic conclusion was the only way to survive it, was to hunker down in a well-stocked basement type bunker.

What added to the mystery and creep factor to the movie, was the fact two of the producers of the film were Barack Obama and Michelle Obama.

With the Obamas being active in "working" politicians behind the scenes in DC, and tirelessly pushing their socialist agenda, it begs the question, what kind of propaganda message were they trying to convey to the nation? Was it predictive programing? Was the movie a warning? Was it a propaganda scare tactic? Or, was it their way of exposing a hidden truth to the nation?

Whatever it was, it freaked me out. And this comes from someone that has studied conspiracies for over 30 years. The subject matter and acting were mesmerizing, but when you add the artistic filming and soundtrack, you have a film that is close to a masterpiece.

Do yourself a favor and watch this film and see for yourself what it is all about. I have to go now - I am compelled to check my pantry one more time. George Eaton
