To Smell The Roses Empty To Smell The Roses

remember, remember back, far away and long, long ago, to the first time we jumped into the material world. think and remember why. excitement, anticipation, why? Because we would finally be able to pull the rose up to our nose and breath in it's essence. Stop and remember the scent of your very first rose.

One of my earliest memories is the scent of a flower.
I recall walking past a patch of marigolds and the scent just overwhelmed me and I didn't want to move.
I was with a group of kids (I must have been around 3 or 4 years old). The small group of children had moved along, but I couldn't leave that scent...
I remember another boy turning back and asking 'what are you doing?' I said I was just looking at the flowers.
The most confused look took over his face as he asked 'Why?' I said, 'I don't know.' as I shrugged my shoulders.
But I did know why... I simply loved looking at them and I loved the smell of those beautiful marigolds.
I've spent hundreds of hours with people whose names and faces I can't recall, but those flowers I'll never forget.

When I was a kid I would spend hours in the garden .
I loved the red pawnies we had there .
The first perfume that really enchanted me for its fragrance
was from these flowers I don't know the english name for:

and also the peppery smell of these ones :

The first rose I remember is one picked by my boyfriend when I was fourteen as we were walking down the park:

I can't think of anything more inspiring than nature's smells and views .

I believe there is no greater Art piece than the four seasons.

    Thank You for your thread.
