You've never seen buildings like this. The stunning bamboo homes built by Elora Hardy and her team in Bali twist, curve and surprise at every turn. They defy convention because the bamboo itself is so enigmatic. No two poles of bamboo are alike, so every home, bridge and bathroom is exquisitely unique. In this beautiful, immersive talk, she shares the potential of bamboo, as both a sustainable resource and a spark for the imagination. "We have had to invent our own rules," she says.

Thank you, mudra, for these great designs of bambu-dwellings, made with such diligence. Asking the bambu how it
loves to be used... what a great way to work with the elementals of this nature! The material bows down generously to that
attitude, making the work light and the home strong. Wonderful material, bambu, I would be thrilled to move through the tree,
create a dwelling and have an exceptional view from high. Wonderful to hear Elora Hardy say: "With creativity and commitment,
you can create beauty, comfort, safety and even luxury, out of a material that will grow back."

Here's a living architecture created with willows, called "Weiden" in Germany, where most of the work is done, shown in the
tubby below and in the pictures.

The living structure, with it's growth and the associated constant change and transformation makes it an architectural symbol of
the modern church. The architectural space, open on all sides and above symbolize the openness of the new ecumenical church.
The style and form of this architecture is reminiscent with the plant form of Gothic cathedrals. The dissolution of the antithesis
of architecture and nature, of construction and structure enchant people and makes them reflect and admire the beauty of living
architecture and its vitality. This new experience, "the admiration of nature in architecture" reflects the need for fascination in
    todays demystified world.

This is followed by social and cooperative building-processes with a variety of groups and volunteers: children, adolescents,
unemployed, immigrants, disabled and retirees. This social and generational interaction makes the construction sites desirable
places to meet and communicate. A reminder of medieval cathedral builders' hut and the basis of our living Architecture.
It also explains the success of living architecture specifically in the area of church building.
