We have studied with almost all indigenous cultures
since 1967, following the year we drown in little lake, ontario
(an area with the most petroglyph rocks in the world)
there we had the initiation of both cosmic healer (eagle)
    and, cosmic eXchanger (condor/turkey vulture)...
around the age of 12/13 we were bitten by a spider
and, had the initiation of the cosmic weaver (spider)
what we discovered, is that all indigenous cultures
do spiritual work in almost the eXact same way
    - everyone is created with the same raft of potentials

    Had a private question, about...
" what is around your neck ? "

    - it a golden earth dog, i was born in 1958
which is the year of The Golden Earth Dog,
they come to earth once every 60 years,
when the chinese calendar repeats its cycle...
it is 'real' jade - and, very old
(part of my ancestrial lineage is King Wen as a 96th Great Grandfather)

Thank you. Started reading the Way of the Shaman by Michael Harner last night. Good book. I've ordered a couple by S Ingerman and a CD of shamanic drumming. For the first time, I am starting to get the references to the dragon and with time, other things will be revealed.

My son and almost drowned in 1994. We were cold and wet and stuck on an island. Even though I tried everything, I could not get a fire started. It got down to 23 that night. After we lost the canoe and we had tried to swim off and failed, I knew in my heart of hearts that there would be three efforts to get us off the island that night. And sure enough, 3 times a helicopter flew over but failed to see or detect us. My cousin who was an officer in the coast guard drove to Columbia to help with the search. He said they were using thermal imagining and had detected nothing. The next morning I heard the helicopter at the other end of the island and I took off running through the bramble with an orange toboggan held high in air on the end of a canoe paddle. The pilot saw it and we were saved.

    drowning, or nearly drowing
is interacting with the 1st element water
    - i will NEVER forget looking down at my body
from the sky - watching the birds carry me and drop me on the shore line
and; then i watched both of them take turns flying through me
and; as they hit my physical body
    - the water that was in my lungs
came out of me; like a fountain
    - when my heart finally retarted
    it was quite painful
    - will NEVER forget that; NOT ever
i think souls pick similiar ways to exit
each lifetime - i;m positive i pick water
it is fast way to depart

    Exchanger
My father was a very spiritual person and even though he was heavily based in Christianity, there was rarely a week that went by that there wasn't a discussion of beliefs. Somewhere back then I started believing in reincarnation. Several major influences included the reading of the life of Edgar Cayce, being taken to a previous life in a hypnotic trance, and a sail boat ride into blue waters.

We were sailing through the rough waters from the an Eastern NC sound into the Ocean when this very large shadow passed under our 25 foot boat. The shadow was the size of our boat if not larger. It was at that moment that I knew that I had drown at sea in a previous life. The thought of going back to the bottom of Davy Jones locker was not comforting nor inviting. Perhaps water is a fast way to depart but not one that I will seek out.

One of my guide animals is a Blue Heron. When I am on body of water, it seems that a member of that BH family will seek me out and serve as a guide.....especially if there is rough weather or something of a challenge coming. It will stay just ahead of the canoe for miles and then magically turn and go back when we are in sight of the take out point.

I have known others who have had NDE's like yours. One person told me that it felt so good to be next to Source that it is really hard to be here on earth.
