    Constitutional Amendment Empty Constitutional Amendment

Post  bobhardee Wed Nov 13, 2013 8:35 pm

The following is a suggested constitutional amendment.

    The People’s Amendment:
The following is a proposed constitutional amendment that is established for the people to retake control of our federal government. It is established to revise congressional pay, elections, term limits, health care, and other pertinent issues.

Article 1: Pay for any and all those elected to Congress or the Executive Branch.
Congress shall set no special pay that is any different than any other federal worker such that their retirement pay will be what every other federal worker receives. One year after passage congress will discontinue payment to any and all retirees that were set up as a life time salary. If a congressman or woman wants to receive a federal retirement package, let them do it the same as all other federal employees. It shall be illegal to establish special salaries that are above federal standards.
To clarify: We the people want our Congress and Executive branch paid for the job they do. However, we do not want them to see themselves as above or different than the lowest of federal employees.

    Article 2: Elections:
Effective one year following the passage of this amendment, the Electoral College shall be disbanded. All elections shall be based on the total of the number of ballots cast. The individual with the majority of the vote will be declared the winner.

Article 3: Funding of Campaigns: Contributions from Corporations.
Corporations are barred from making contributions to any campaign. Corporations are not people and will no longer be given the same rights as individuals. Furthermore, corporations or individuals working and representing corporations shall be barred from assisting in the writing of legislation.

    Article 4: Language:
We declare that English is the primary language that is spoken in this country. If you want to come to this country then learn to speak the language. Schools can help with after-school language building skill classes but should not offer classes other than foreign language classes, should be taught in language other than English.

    Article 5: Lobbying:
Any company, be it large or small that wants to lobby the federal government, shall be required a permit. The cost of the permit will be no less than ¼ of the total value of the company. Any company found trying to influence any congressional staff member without said permit will be fined at the total value of the company. So if there was a 10 million dollar company that lobbied without a permit, then the fine would be 10 million dollars.
    Article 6: Term Limits:
Senators will not be in office for longer than three terms or 18 years. This does not matter if they were appointed or elected. The total term will be no longer than 18 year.
House Representatives will hold office for no longer than 12 years. It will not matter if they have been appointed or elected, the total time in that office should not exceed 12 years.
    Article 7: Prayer:
Prayer will return to Public Schools. This is no longer considered a separation of church and state but the fundamental recognition that there is a power that is greater than oneself.
    Article 8: Healthcare:
The healthcare that is available to congress shall be no different than the lowest paid federal worker. Any pervious separate health care system will be discontinued within a year of the passage of this amendment. The current system will be disbanded within 30 days of passage.
    Article 9: Election Spending:
Caps will be imposed such that no Senate race can spend more than one million dollars per candidate. No contributions will be allowed from individuals outside the state where the election is being held. Caps for House races will be no more than 500,000 per candidate per race.
No more than 2 million dollars will be spent in Presidential Elections per state.
    Article 10: Surveillance:
Any federal employee that spies on any US citizen without a warrant shall be subject to no less than 8 years in prison. Any federal employee that knows of any agency that is spying on US citizens without warrant and does not disclose this information to the Federal Marshalls, shall be subject to no less than 8 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
    Article 11: Energy;
Alternate energy which can be used at an individual’s home will be a prime objective. Individuals want to be able to have their own individual power source so that they are not dependent upon a grid. The development of such needs to be incentivized by the federal government until such is available. If there has been alternate energies that have been developed for the use of the military but these sources could be developed for the public to use, then it needs to happen immediately.
    Article 12: Transportation:
Because our nation has fallen behind the rest of the world in its development of rapid transportation, new emphasis needs to be placed on a system of high speed rails that connect every major city in the continental USA. This means that by the year 2020, a complete system needs to be in place and serving people in 48 states and the District of Columbia.
    Article 13: Disclosure:
All security agencies, military or otherwise, shall disclose any and all information on sightings regarding UFO’s. No information regarding sightings or contact or any kind will be held on a need to know basis. All classified information regarding this subject will be considered no longer classified and will be made open to the public at large.
    Article 14: Obamacare:
The current system that was established that is known as Obamacare is not serving the citizens. The only system that would reduce costs and the only system which will eliminate the health care crisis in this country will be a single payer source system. This amendment will allow congress 1 year to pass a single source payer source system. If the congress cannot pass this system, it will be the Executive Branch that will be clear to enact a single source system

Constitutional Amendment Empty Re: Constitutional Amendment

    28th Constitutional amendment.

This is what Mark Levine has been talking about--a constitutional convention
by the states to get back to the laws of the Constitution.
I think this is the most important email I have ever passed on. This will
take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on.
This is an idea that we should address.

    35 STATES SO FAR.....IT'S GROWING!

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for
imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to
    convene a Constitutional Convention.

For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress.
Their latest stunt is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that
they passed ... in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn't seem logical.
We do not have an elite ruling class that is above the law. I truly don't
care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The
    self-serving must stop.

If each person that receives this will forward it on to 15 people, in three
days most people in The United States of America will have the message.
This is one proposal that really should be passed around.

Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution: "Congress shall
make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not
apply equally to the Senators, and/or Representatives of Congress; and,
Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or
Representatives that does not apply equally to the
citizens of the United States ..."

    Please keep this going.
