A nightmare indeed.
I understand the least this poor victim of abuse can do is bringing his case to court.
But when you think about it inviting the culprits to clear their conscience just by paying a fine seems so trivial in front of the abuse that took place.
Will they have learned something in terms of respect for another human being by this ?
I really doubt it and that is sad too.
